๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ ๐ช๐จ//Clumsy and Clumsier.
Summary: Y/N and Marcy fluff. :l
~~~
Y/N held their project firmly, trying to not drop it.
They were known to be quite clumsy so they made sure to take careful steps.
But unfortunately, their clumsiness had still gotten towards them, tripping over themselves and launching the hard-worked project out from their grasp.
Sadly, Heather Hayes was standing right beside Y/N and the project had fallen all over her making her gasp in horror.
"What the heck?!" She spat out angrily, taking her attention off her phone and towards the young teen who was collapsed on the ground.
"Hey, watch where you're going, Marbles!" Heather snapped angrily.
Y/N slowly got up. "I'm so sorry, it was an accident-"
"Cut the apology, Y/N. I don't want to hear it!" Heather crossed her arms, sashaying away.
They sighed, picking up the pieces to their project slowly. Heather had always been targeting Y/N ever since the 'marble incident'.
Y/N began to walk away again before tripping once more. Luckily, someone had caught them before they could be impacted onto the ground.
"Woah, Mar-Mar. Seems like the tables have turned now." A voice laughed followed by another laugh.
Y/N could tell who it was by the voices. It was none other than Anne, Sasha, and Marcy.
Marcy had somehow caught Y/N before they could trip. This was a rare occurrence since Anne was always the one catching Y/N.
She quickly pulled Y/N up to their feet and smiled. "You okay there?"
Y/N blushed in embarrassment. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for catching me."
They were actually pretty happy Marcy was the one to catch them this time, knowing that they had a big crush on Marcy.
"Looks like Marbles is at it again with their clumsy streak! Be careful you three, or they might just break your bones!" Savannah interrupted making Y/N glare at them.
"Can't you just let that go? That was two whole years ago!"
Flashback.
"Gotta get to class, gotta get to class!"
A young student was racing through the hallways, desperately trying to get towards the staircase.
They tried not to go to fast due to the many marbles the project had contained. Didn't want one slipping out and falling everywhere.
They were about to head down the stairs until they tripped over on themselves, dropping to the ground as the marbles scattered all around the staircase.
"That can't be good." Y/N spoke as Heather and her friends were passing by.
Heather was currently on her phone, barely paying attention to her surroundings as her friends talked and talked.
That was until one of the friends, Savannah, had noticed the marbles that were all over the floor.
"Heather! Look out!" She warned, but Heather didn't bat an eye and kept her attention on the phone.
Then, the worst thing happened.
Heather took one step on a singular marble, and quickly went into a slipping frenzy.
"WOAH-" Heather failed to keep her balance, slowly reaching towards the staircase as her friends panicked.
Y/N's eyes widened. "HEATHER! LOOK OUT-"
Unfortunately Y/N's warning wasn't enough to help her, once she met the staircase she immediately began to fall down the flight of stairs.
Her friends watched as she hit every stair in a painful manner, a few 'ouch's' and 'oofs' slipping out of her.
Her pain spree eventually came to a halt as she was positioned in an uncomfortable pose.
Both arms and a leg were twisted behind her back.
Y/N eventually got up and looked at the situation.
They grimaced. "You okay down there?"
No response.
"Your silence speaks many words."
Her friends gave Y/N the nastiest glare in history.
"You are so dead, L/N."
Present.
"Never! We'll always remind you of the big mistake you've done!" Heather yelled before sashaying with her trio. God Y/N hated when she sashayed!
The teen groaned in annoyance before feeling a hand on their shoulder. It was apparently Marcy's.
"Hey, don't worry about them, N/N. It wasn't your fault Heather couldn't take her eyes off her phone." Marcy reassured.
Y/N let out a small sigh before giving off a smile. "Yeah, I guess. I just wish I wasn't so clumsy."
"You and me both."
The bell rang right after Marcy's sentence was finished as the two looked up at it.
"I gotta get to class now." Y/N says, turning away from her. "We're still up for gaming at lunch, right?"
She nodded. "Yep!"
The two laughed and eventually walked their separate ways to class.
Class took a while, Y/N was lucky enough to get an A- since their project had been damaged the slightest.
Once class was finally over, Y/N raced towards the lunch room immediately.
Getting their lunch, they quickly scanned the room for the girls. It was pretty easy to find them since their table was quite empty.
Y/N took a seat next to Marcy who already had her switch out and was currently gaming.
She was currently in a round of Splatoon in turf war, sniping almost everyone with an E-liter.
Of course, it was her team that won. It seemed close but the ink coverage in Marcy's base was pretty swell.
Once the round was officially over, she looked up at Y/N and smiled. "Hey, N/N! Did you see my gameplay!"
A small blush crept up onto Y/N's face. "Sure did! You do really good with E-Liters and Chargers."
It was finally Marcy's turn to blush as she looked away. "Wow, uh. Thanks!"
Marcy quickly shook her head, trying to get rid of the blush. "Anyways, wanna do a couple rounds for me?"
"Heck yeah I do!"
After they were handed the switch they immediately went to pick out their weapon of choice and got into a match.
Marcy watched in amazement as they began their gameplay, a blush was noticeably plastered onto her face while she smiled widely.
She thought it was cute when Y/N was gaming. She wouldn't admit it though, she'd think it'd be too awkward for her to say out of the blue.
Most of the rounds went pretty well, some losses but most of the time they were wins.
Until Y/N's final round came along.
A full team of Rollers.
"Ohhh, great."
It was fate, Y/N had lost the game causing them to sigh in disappointment.
"Man, I was doing so good!" They complained as Marcy laughed.
"Good try though, N/N." Marcy says, grabbing her tray of food. "C'mon now, let's get to class."
Y/N handed the switch back to Marcy. "Thanks for letting me play, Mar-Mar."
They gave Marcy a side hug making her squeak in surprise.
Another blush came onto Marcy's face. "I-it's no problem, Y/N."
Sasha and Anne watched the two in amusement. They knew the two had feelings for each other based on their interactions.
The four were now walking down the halls.
Anne then pulled Y/N aside without a warning.
Y/N tumbled into a locker, muttering an 'ouch'.
"Sorry, sorry!" Anne apologized. "I just need to talk to you."
"About what?"
"About you and Marcy."
They were quick to freeze up, face turning immediately red. "W-what?!"
Anne snapped her finger. "I knew it! You do have a crush on her!"
"Pfft, I do not! I uh..."
Y/N tried to avoid eye contact with Anne, sweating nervously.
"Your blushing says otherwise." She smirked. "You put, what was her name again? Oh, right! Amity to big shame."
They covered their face in embarrassment. "Stop itttt."
She couldn't help but to laugh at Y/N's reaction. "Okay, okay. But seriously, you need to shoot your shot, dude."
Y/N rubbed their shoulders, glancing at Marcy who was happily talking with Sasha.
"I know, I know.. I just want to find the perfect moment is all."
Anne put a hand on their shoulder. "You got this."
"Okay, okay. I'll ask her out at the end of the day then."
Hearing that made Anne smile proudly. "Good."
Anne and Y/N both joined the other two as they all walked to class.
After what felt like ages it was finally the end of the day and the last bell had eventually rang.
Students began to rummage through each other, trying to get out of school as quick as possible.
Y/N just stood by Marcy's locker patiently. The two were supposed to meet up there to discuss something.
A minute passed and Marcy was seen rushing towards Y/N before falling on her face.
She quickly got up and walked the rest of the way towards the teen.
"Hey, N/N. You wanted to see me here, right?" She questioned, tilting her head.
"Yeah, I did." They reply, blushing slightly.
"What for?"
"Well, uh.."
Y/N stood silent, not knowing what to say.
"Is something the matter, Y/N?" Marcy began getting closer, Y/N's face becoming a bright red.
"N-No! I'm fine! Haha, who's Y/N??"
Marcy looked at Y/N with a confused expression.
They mentally slapped themselves for being so awkward before taking in a deep breath and exhaling gently.
"Marcy, the reason I called you here is because..."
Y/N looked off to the side, Marcy becoming nervous of what was next.
"I like you. A lot."
Marcy's eyes widened in shock which quickly made Y/N drown in regret.
"That was bad, wasn't it? I-It's totally fine if you don't like me, we can just stay-"
"I'm so glad to hear you like me back, N/N."
"HUH-"
Marcy began to laugh. "I've always liked you, I was just a bit nervous to actually tell you."
A sigh of relief escaped Y/N's lips. "Oh, thank goodness. I was worried!"
A smile made its way to Y/N's face. "So, do you think I can take you out sometime? Maybe we could eat out at Thai-go and later hop to the mall?"
Marcy nodded. "Yeah! I'd like that a whole lot actually. I have to check with my parents though to see if it's okay."
"Totally!"
Y/N grabbed Marcy's hand gently, intertwining it with theirs. "C'mon, they're probably waiting."
Everything was going well until Y/N's shoelace came undone.
Marcy immediately noticed as they were walking down the stairs.
"Uhhh, N/N. Your shoe-"
Before Marcy could even finish, Y/N was already tripping over their shoelace and plummeting down the stairs harshly.
"Y/N!"
Unfortunately, that day Y/N managed to break both their arm and leg at the same time.
Marcy of course, always visited them as well as Anne and Sasha.
At least they got a date with Marcy after they were fully healed.
