Sometimes I just forget my identity whenever I'm surrounded by the quirkiness of Taehyung until moments like this slap my face hard to stop me from going numb to the ecstatic feeling of having someone who wasn't even aware of my actual self.
Despite how infuriated I felt towards Jimin for pulling a cheap trick like that in the elevator. My mind couldn't be incurred with odium to the extent of hearing him wrong.
'Who's Vanya?" I blurted out, eyes trembling awaiting the response I might get from the other.
"Well," Shoving his hands in his jacket he leaned to meet my eye level witn an intimidating curve his lips formed.
"You will tell me. Eventually."
His hand grabbed the handle near my waist.
"Move." Eyes fixated on me he commanded as I followed without making any noise.
With a blink of an eye we were both inside my compartment. He went straight towards the couch and sat down with a dominant posture. My throat had gone dry from the anticipation of what might happen now. I put the rose inside the vase and turned to meet the only person sitting in the lobby.
The clock hanging on the wall ticked indicating soon it's going to be midnight, with each passing second my heart rate picked up its pace, if he didn't speak now I would probably die from a heart attack first.
"Speak, will you?" He ward off the silenced charm spreading in the room with his sharp tone.
"What do you want to know?" With my body sinking down further on the couch I asked.
"Why were you with Taehyung?" He inquired as I raised my face to meet his.
"He was sick. It's not like I went there to hangout." Trying to maintain my composure I said.
What's up with him?
"But you asked me to keep him away. You told me that yourself. So when I'm here sacrificing myself so Taehyung could back off, why are you welcoming yourself into his life?" He stood up, taking big steps towards me before I could also stand up, he crouched down with both hands on the couch. Trapping me between he hissed, "You, Miss. Vanya. You should keep yourself away from him."
Forgetting how to breathe properly being engulfed by his invincible overwhelming aura, with misty eyes I stared at him. He was speaking the truth.
I was always pushing away others but when it came to him I always found myself being drowned towards his actions. I couldn't even make an excuse at this point. I was just fooling myself.
I was the one who always ended up holding his hand whenever he offered. At times when he couldn't, I was the one moving in his direction.
The flesh around my chest felt a stinging pain arising from inside and I clutched the side where my heart was beating.
He backed off, eyes not sparing me any mercy. With a heavy sigh he straightened his posture, "I give zero fucks about your name, your identity. Don't drag Taehyung with your mess. Either you come clean to him or I will not wait any longer." Giving me the last warning he made his way out of my place.
The grimacing mist in the air was soon uplifted with his departure but my lungs couldn't work properly and I gasped for air to breathe over and over.
"Ugh..." My knees went weak, stumbling I fell from the sofa onto the ground, gritting my teeth in pain but the chaos flaming inside me didn't subside.
The clock ticked again when the needle hit twelve. As a new day began a petal from the rose dried, swiftly swaying down towards the gravity it fell.
It had not yet touched the floor but before it could the petal vanished in the air itself, leaving no trace of its existence.

"Could you hand this file to Miss. Kwon, please. These are important for the meeting." A male worker asked huffing, and looked like he ran here from outside. I nodded as he bowed in thanks.
"You're a saviour. She is with the creative team right now, 5th floor." Saying this he rushed outside.
I took the lift and asked for Miss. Kwon. The employees looked distressed with the mention of her name.
"Are these materials for today's meeting?" One of the workers asked and I nodded.
"Well the meeting is already postponed only God knows for what reason." Other one added rolling his eyes while slumping more in his chair.
"I don't know the details. I was only asked to hand it over to her." Raising my brows in confusion I said and one of them pointed towards the meeting room.
"Go, she is inside." Thanking her I headed towards the room. Before pushing the door I knocked for permission.
"I'm here to give this file....." I trailed off the instant my eyes met the person sitting in front of me as she signalled me to keep them on the table.
Restaurant girl..huh....that tattoo girl!!
My eyes grew bigger enough for her to pay attention to me.
"Why are you glaring at me?" She asked in a soft tone with a mix of sadness underlying beneath.
"No, sorry. I'm not." Blinking like something got in my eyes I apologised.
She stood from her chair as her footsteps approached me.
"You were in there right? In 'moonlight' restaurant." Her eyes met mine as I froze in my place.
"Huh..." The only thing I could manage to say to her question.
She smiled a little before speaking, "I saw you there a few days ago. I was also there.. " She trailed off remembering that day.
"Are you okay?" Unintentionally I showed concern towards her, "Actually I also saw you that day and you were looking troubled." I said, earning a tearful look from her. She leaned her head on me while crying.
"My boyfriend, he didn't show up that day. He isn't contacting me either." She said sobbing as I just stood there not knowing how to comfort her.
"Wanna grab something?" Food was the only excuse I could come up with to divert her mind.
We both sat in a cafe as I ordered the choco truffle for us.
"My mother says if you're feeling down just fill your stomach with the food you love." I smiled ear to ear remembering my mother's face but soon the smile was snatched when I saw my opposite sitting person wasn't my mother but someone else. I sighed before asking her to tell me the whole story.
"So, he was supposed to propose to me on the day of our anniversary but he didn't even remember it was our anniversary. Later he said he would make it up to me but never showed up on the day I was waiting in the restaurant." She sniffed while taking a bite of the truffle, "He even stopped contacting me now. Like if I call then it's fine otherwise he doesn't care."
"Does it ever occur to you that he might not want this relationship anymore?" I knew it wasn't a good idea to bring it up, but I couldn't help but give her a reality check.
She nodded in response.
"I know but he himself never said it,"
Might want you to take a hint, poor girl.
She continued, "and it was going so well. Suddenly if he wants a break, atleast give a reason. Do I not even deserve that?" Sighing she collapsed on the table, face buried down in self doubts.
I closed my eyes thinking of any consoling words I could say to her.
"Thanks for listening to me." Mumbling sounds came from her mouth as she looked up instantly, "I was always so into him that even with a bright personality I never had time to make friends in the office. So I couldn't share this with anyone. My other friends I ditched whenever they asked me out to spend time with him." As her self guilt burdened her shoulders she slumped more into her miserable thoughts.
"It's totally fine. I also had a friend I hadn't met in ages. You are reviving those good memories for me." I place my hand over hers giving it a tight squeeze, "it's totally normal to ignore your friends when you're blindly in love but prioritise everything. You can apologise to them, it's not like they are gonna eat you the moment you face them." She chucked at my words.
"Let's exchange contacts." She asked me as I handed my phone to her.
After leaving the cafe I went back to my place and she went back to work, promising to take me out on lunch someday.
I put pasta into the boiling water and my phone rang. Thinking it might be Miss. Kwon I picked up the call without thinking twice.
"Hello?"
"He already knows where you are hiding." Shocked by a male voice I looked around my compartment being alarmed.
"Be careful." With a quick warning the call was cut.
Sweat formed all over my face as my eyes shaked at the sudden intrusion of a mishap.
Wiping the sweat trickling down my neck I stared at the rose resting in the vase.
Even after days it was still looking fresh.
