backstory ; when holly was young, her life was pretty content. her dad left when she was three, and her mom and younger sister were the only ones living in her house. her best friend, natalia, tended to stay over at holly's place to avoid her awful living situation — she was like family, too. when high school rolled around, natalia had moved in with holly.
and then there was school. it wasn't the greatest place to be. there was so many toxic people, all of which holly did her best to avoid. and yet, they all seemed to bring holly down.. down.. down. with this and family problems, holly was usually found crying herself to sleep at night.
it wasn't too long before she was diagnosed with depression. natalia was very helpful in this case. she would always listen to holly's stories, no mater how awful or silly they might have sounded. she liked having a friend like that.
but nothing gold can stay. natalia eventually grew old enough to move out with her boyfriend, and holly moved into a small apartment. alone. so you can imagine, holly was lonely and hardly went outside.
and that brings us to now, where all of this was taken away and holly is left fighting for her life. trying to make it to valentine where she may find peace once more.
