• • FOUR MONTHS AGO • •
AMBER WAS HOSTING a function at her place to celebrate the end of junior year. That day was also Y/N and Anthony's birthday so, on the insistence of the girl, the two thought attending would be quite fun.
Among their friend group who was there included Chad, Mindy, Wes, and Tara. Everybody there enjoyed snacks, drinks, and music. Amber's parents were on a trip so nobody had to worry about the party being busted.
In the living room, Chad was playing video games on the console he ended up bringing. He was going against Anthony in a match of Madden.
"Whoo!"
Chad cheered upon making the winning drive. The people around who were watching reacted with him. Anthony simply took the loss and waved him off.
"Whatever, man."
"It's what you get for picking the Rams." Chad pounded his chest and cheered again. "Niners, baby!"
Anthony chuckled. Chad pat his back and laughed with him before continuing to the next match.
Nearby, Wes was standing around with Y/N. The duo had drinks in hand and looked on at the partygoers.
"There." Wes pointed at a blonde. "Ryan from film class."
Y/N shrugged. "Not sure."
"Not your type?"
"Not really."
"Well, since I ran it by you beforehand, I guess I'll give it shot."
Y/N chuckled. The now eighteen-year-old glanced to his right and saw two of their friends talking with each other. It was Tara and Amber, but his gaze was mostly toward the Latina.
"Oh. So that's your type." Wes said after noticing his stare.
"What?" Y/N asked.
Wes snickered. "The short and fiery kind."
"I don't know what you're talking about, man." Y/N replied, then spoke again after a pause. "Fiery?"
"You seen her run track? She's quick. You could learn a thing or two, Deebo Samuel."
Y/N let out a chuckle, looking back at Tara. They've been good friends for a couple of years now but it's stayed at that. There have been moments here and there between them...but nothing has come of it.
Wes spoke again. "Look. She got no drink or anything in her hand. Why don't you go down to the basement and get something for her."
"I don't know..."
"Fine." Wes took a swig of his drink. "I'll do it then."
"All right. All right." Y/N put an arm out and kept him back. "Fine."
Wes smirked and watched as Y/N walked away. The eighteen-year-old went downstairs to the basement where he knew the rest of the refreshments were.
He opened the fridge and grabbed two bottles. He held the cold drinks in hand and closed the door, where he was startled by the presence of Tara.
"Oh, shit." He jumped a bit then chuckled. "Trying to spook me?"
"Sorry." She laughed. "Maybe a bit."
"Uh..." Y/N looked at the drinks in his hands and gave one to her. "This...is for you."
Tara glanced at it before taking the drink. "Uh, thanks."
"Yeah, I just saw you up there with no refreshments and thought...well...you needed one?"
"I was getting a bit parched up there. I was on my way down here when I saw you."
He nodded. "Oh, okay."
There was an awkward silence as both teenagers weren't sure what else to say. Tara tapped the side of the bottle and looked to the side.
"How's it been so far?" She asked, which garnered a confused look from Y/N. "Your birthday?"
"Oh, right." He chuckled. "Honestly, feels like I forgot about it."
"It's been that bad?"
Y/N shrugged. "Not much to do nowadays. A part of growing up, I guess."
"Growing up shouldn't have anything to do with how much fun you have on your birthday." She replied.
"I know. It just...last few years really took a toll on what I see as fun now. Used to always look forward to the day. Dad taking us out. Mom, well..."
The young man sighed. Tara's gaze softened, knowing that earlier in the year his mom had finalized the divorce between his dad and moved away.
He continued. "I don't blame her for getting out of here. Sure, she's missing her sons' eighteenth birthdays...but at least she doesn't have to live with the threats anymore."
Y/N looked down at the bottle in his hands before placing it on top of the fridge beside him. Tara got closer and rubbed the side of his arm.
"I get it. My dad hasn't been there for anything. Just left suddenly. Then it was my sister. I always ask myself if I did anything wrong."
He could tell that Tara reliving the abandonment was affecting her. She'd gone through years of feeling that way while Y/N has only recently been thinking of it, so he wanted to offer reassurance.
"Hey." He said softly and grabbed her both shoulders. "You did nothing wrong. You were eight, of course you didn't."
Tara simply lowered her head. Y/N continued, looking down at her.
"From what I've seen, you didn't need them. You preserved and came out...great. You're handling all of it better than me...who's complaining just because my mom's missed one birthday. Boohoo."
She finally looked up, letting out a quick chuckle. Y/N softly smiled back and continued.
"And you're right, I should still have a great time. I still got my brother...I got my friends...and I got you."
Tara looked into his eyes. Y/N stared into her dark brown orbs, not even breaking the gaze.
"And that matters to me...a lot." He added.
They stood there for a moment in silence, with Tara still holding the bottle and Y/N's hands on her shoulders.
Finally, Y/N leaned in and connected his lips with hers. Tara wasn't even surprised, as she wanted to do the same.
He moved one hand to the bottom of her chin and lifted it, the two savoring their gentle kiss.
Suddenly, a cough got their attention and startled them. They parted and looked back, seeing Anthony on the stairs. The twin quietly chuckled and crossed his arms.
"Sorry." He started making the rest of the way down. "You guys were in the way of the fridge."
"Right." Tara cleared her throat and looked back at Y/N, pointing upstairs. "I—I'll see you up there."
"Yeah."
The two shared smiles and Tara walked past Anthony, walking up the stairs. The twin looked back at the Latina for a moment before turning to his brother.
"When did this happen?" He asked with a chuckle."
Y/N walked past him too. "When did what happen?"
"Come on, bro. I'm not dumb."
He stopped midway and turned back around, looking straight at Anthony. He softly chuckled.
"Just now."
Y/N continued smiling and walked up the steps. Anthony chuckled and watched his brother leave the basement.
Once he did...his smile faded, before turning back around and going to the fridge.
• • PRESENT DAY • •
THE PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCED over the PA that the next day's classes and activities would be canceled due to public safety concerns. It was mostly due to Tara's attack the night before.
Wes, Amber, and Mindy sat at the benches in the quad. The blonde boy had gotten off the phone, having just called Tara's sister, Sam, in Modesto.
"That was Sam." He told them.
"She's coming?" Amber asked.
"Yeah."
She shook her head. "Watch everything get worse."
Anthony came over and joined them. He had his wrestling bag slung over his shoulder but placed it on the bench. He greeted the three with a nod.
"Hey." Wes greeted him back.
"Y/N didn't come to school at all?" Amber asked the twin.
He shook his head. "Can't blame him. The whole thing is fucked."
Anthony sat down but groaned upon doing so. He held his abdomen and Mindy noticed.
"What's up with you?" She asked.
"Brent got a little overzealous today with our scrimmage." He replied. "I'll get him next time, though."
Chad and his girlfriend, Liv, joined the friend group soon afterward. He was speaking to the girl.
"Listen, all I'm saying is, with everything going on right now, I think it's time we take our relationship to the next, most intimate level."
The couple sat down. Liv scoffed and looked at the rest of them.
"He wants me to accept his Find My Fam request."
"It's the smartest option with a would-be killer on the loose." Chad added. "You know exactly where I am and I know exactly where you are."
"Aw, you can stalk me like a jealous boyfriend."
"And you can stalk me like a jealous boyfriend."
Amber fake gagged and let out a chuckle. "Is this because you two aren't having sex yet?"
"You actually bring up a very good point." Chad replied. "Not that I want to sound like a stereotypical jock trying to get into his girlfriend's pants—"
"Great!" Liv interjected and kissed him on the cheek.
"Don't do it, Liv. There's a psycho out there." Wes told her. "You make yourself harder to find. Delete social media, tape over your phone camera, disable GPS."
"Yes, thank you very much, Edward Snowden." Chad said.
Anthony snickered at his remark but quieted after getting a stare from Wes. Chad continued.
"Actually, your mother just interrogated me about Tara's attempted murder, which was very fun."
Wes looked at his mom in the distance, Sheriff Judy Hicks, who talking was talking with a fellow officer. She looked back at her son and tipped her hat.
"I'm sure she's asking everybody. I mean, Ghostface is back." He said.
"The press still isn't saying Ghostface." Mindy replied.
"My mom doesn't want to cause a panic."
"Which is a good thing...with what happened a few years ago." Anthony added.
"It'll get out by the second or third killing." Mindy said rather nonchalantly.
"Jesus, Mindy..." Amber reacted. "There wasn't a first killing. Tara's alive."
"That means she could still die."
"What the fuck?"
"Or the killer could come back for her."
"Fuck! Mindy, come on." Chad exclaimed.
"I'm just telling you, arm up, okay?" Wes chimed in. "Pepper spray, check. Taser, check."
"Girlfriend repellent, check." Amber joked.
They all laughed. Wes scoffed and nodded.
"Nice. Thank you."
They quieted upon Liv seeing someone at their car on the street.
"Oh, shit. Is that...Vince?"
"Wait. The creep you hooked up with last summer?" Chad asked.
"Yeah, he worked with me and Tara."
Anthony turned to Liv. "He worked with Tara?"
"He's been stalking my Instagram the last couple weeks, posting the creepiest shit."
Mindy snapped a photo of him. Vince seemed to notice and blew a kiss at them.
"Probably time to introduce him to Hobbs and Shaw." Chad said, flexing both of his arms.
Liv disagreed. "Maybe not the best idea to incite violence right in front of the sheriff."
Vince kept looking at them before spitting in their direction and walking off. Anthony shook his head and glared.
"Fucking asshole."
"Looks like he's leaving." Liv said, grabbing the side of Chad's arm. "Thanks anyway, boys."
Chad laughed but removed her hand upon feeling discomfort where his bruise was. Amber took notice and raised a brow.
"Tara says she fought back hard. You've got bruises." She said.
"From football practice." He admitted.
"Oh, sure."
"You can ask Y/N. I took a hit from Martinez trying to pass the ball to him."
"Hmm, sure. Let me ask the prime suspect about the crime he's suspected of."
Anthony didn't like the inference. "Come on, Amber. He already explained his side to the Sheriff earlier today."
"Then what about you, huh? Your wrestling injury?"
"It's true."
As they talked, Mindy turned around and saw someone coming. She was surprised at their arrival.
"Oh, shit."
They heard her reaction and looked to see Y/N coming close. He had missed school but still decided to stop by.
"Hey, man." Chad greeted him, clasping his hand.
"Hey." He replied then looked at the rest. "Hope I didn't miss any pop quizzes or anything."
"Uh..." Wes began. "Sorry, about what happened."
He shrugged and let out a sigh. "Nobody should be apologizing to me."
"Right. Something a suspect would say." Mindy blurted.
"Mindy!" Chad reacted.
Y/N didn't mind the remark. She was a close friend and understood her thought process with the entire situation. She was like her uncle, Randy, after all.
"So, we trying to weed out suspects, huh?" Y/N asked. "Well...I already gave my alibi. I was on my way to the store when that son of a bitch attacked."
"You left Tara alone to go to the store?" Amber asked.
He rubbed his neck. "To get...snacks."
They all stood quiet, noticing his hesitation in the answer. Finally, the young man decided to reveal the real reason.
"Fine. I went to go buy condoms. Tara didn't have any...I didn't have any. So..."
"I can confirm." Anthony chimed in. "He called me on his way back."
Mindy laughed and turned to Y/N. "The killer basically cock blocked you?"
He didn't know what to say. Liv let out a chuckle and sort of agreed.
"Yeah, that kinda sounds like it."
"You know, that's probably why she didn't die." Mindy added. "'Cause—"
"She didn't have sex yet." Anthony interjected, snapping his finger and pointing. He looked at his brother. "Just like I told you, bro. The rules."
Y/N shook his head. Suddenly, a familiar-looking student walked by and eyed them. It was Carlos, which garnered a groan from Y/N.
Instead of confronting them face to face, he kept walking but still shouted at them, mostly toward Y/N.
"Altieri finally snapped, eh? Didn't think you'd chop up your chica though." He looked at the rest of the friend group. "Careful, or you all will be next."
He kept laughing and walked away. Y/N just glared at him, not saying a word. Anthony shook his head in disgust.
"Bitch."
"Hopefully the killer gets his ass next." Amber remarked.
"That...I wouldn't mind." Chad said with shrug. "And I say that with the utmost respect."
Y/N's phone chimed and he took it out of his pocket, seeing that it was a text from Tara. She let him know that she was awake.
Seeing the message brought immense relief to him. He last heard that the surgery went well but it's been no updates ever since.
"Tara's awake. She just texted." He told them. "I—I'm going to the hospital. You—?"
"Yeah."
"Yeah."
They all agreed and started getting their things. Liv stayed sitting down.
"Oh, uh...I can't, but I'll meet you guys later." She told them.
Wes gave her a look. Chad nodded and leaned in to kiss his girlfriend.
"All right."
They left the girl alone, going into their respective vehicles in the parking lot and leaving Woodsboro High School.
• • •
THE GROUP WAS allowed to visit Tara. It was a small room but they made it work as they all wanted to see the recovering teenager.
Y/N knelt beside the bed holding his girlfriend's uninjured hand. He rubbed the top and stared at it.
"I'm so sorry." He muttered. "I shouldn't have left."
The girl shook her head. She was rather pale and had tubes up her nose.
"You don't need to say sorry." She replied.
He shook his head. "Or I should've been quicker, I don't know. I coulda stopped that motherfucker."
What had happened hit close to home. He couldn't believe that a Ghostface attacked his girlfriend. The last Ghostface killings involved his older brother, Dylan, so he felt like he was the reason the attack came to be.
Maybe it was some guy who wanted fame like Dylan. Maybe it was someone who held a grudge that Dylan got off easily. Maybe they saw Y/N somewhat happy now...and they couldn't let an Altieri be happy.
"I want you to know it wasn't me." Y/N mumbled, fearing there could be doubt within her. "It wasn't me, Tara, I'd never hurt you."
While the friend group watched and we're silent, Tara simply nodded. She held his hand a little more tightly.
"I know." She replied weakly.
Y/N feigned a smile and continued holding her hand. Anthony glanced at his friends before looking back at Tara.
"We're glad you're okay." He said. "Really."
"Yeah." Mindy added. "Luckily the guy sucked at his job."
Chad glanced at his sister and gave her a look after the remark. She simply shrugged.
Later, the door to the room opened. In came Sam Carpenter, Tara's older sister. She was joined by her boyfriend, Richie.
The kids got up from their seats. Sam immediately knelt beside Tara's bed and spoke to her.
"How are you feeling?"
She was more taken aback at her arrival. She smiled.
"You came."
"Of course I came." She gestured to Richie. "This is my boyfriend, Richie."
"It's so nice to meet you." He greeted the girl. "I'm so sorry if I'm intruding."
"Nice to meet you, too."
Sam greeted the rest of the kids, embracing each of them. She hugged Wes last.
"Thank you for calling." She told him.
"Of course."
"Look at your hair!" She said, garnering a laugh from Wes. "I like it."
Sam began to introduce the teenagers to her boyfriend.
"These are Chad and Mindy, the twins. Y/N and Anthony, another set of twins."
Richie nodded. "Wow."
"And Wes. I used to babysit them all."
"Which is always how I like to be introduced." Wes remarked.
Richie chuckled. "You had a whole school of kids to babysit, then."
"Pretty much." Sam replied, then looked toward the other girl in the corner. "And Amber. Hey."
"Hi." She feigned a smile. "Nice to see you."
"Hi. I'm Richie." The man said.
"Hi."
"Where's Mom?" Sam asked Tara.
"She's stuck at a conference in London. She called me earlier."
"Yeah, for all of ten minutes." Amber scoffed. "Look, guys, Tara's really tired. Maybe we should just give her some space."
Anthony agreed. "Yeah."
"Yeah." Wes said.
They all started walking out but Tara called out to her estranged sister.
"Not you, Sam. I want you to stay."
She nodded. "Okay."
"But the rest..." Chad looked at the friends.
"Yeah." Mindy replied with a nod.
"Okay."
"Yup."
Chad, Wes, Mindy, and Anthony made their way out. Sam went up to Tara.
"If it's okay with you, I could sleep here tonight." She said.
"I'd really like that."
"Okay."
Amber placed a hand on Tara's shoulder before walking out. Y/N was the last to bid the girl farewell.
"Do you have your extra inhaler?" He asked her, to which she nodded. Y/N smiled. "Text or call me anytime, okay? I'll always answer."
Tara smiled back. He placed a kiss on her cheek before walking away. He waved at Sam and Richie, the older sister confused at the display of affection moments earlier.
Richie bid farewell to Sam before following Y/N out. He shut the door and let the sisters have their time together.
After a moment of quiet, the younger girl started to cry. Sam held her hand.
"Sam, I was so scared." She sobbed.
"I know." She whispered and brushed her hair. "It's okay."
Tara calmed down after being comforted by her sister. She softly smiled and kept rubbing her hair.
"You're so strong." Sam said.
She sniffled and nodded, thinking of her friends. "They help me a lot."
"And Y/N?" Sam asked. "What was that about?"
Tara knew she was mentioning his kiss earlier. She shrugged.
"We're a thing." Tara admitted. "For a few months now."
All Sam could react was with a nod and a feigned smile. But inside, the knowledge of her sister being with Y/N caught her off guard. She immediately thought of how he was related to Mickey Altieri.
It scared her because he possibly could inherit his uncle's tendencies...just like how she feared she'd inherit the same violence from her bloodline.
Sam continued smiling and held her sister's hand tightly.

CARLOS ENTERED HIS home, throwing the keys to his car on the nearby table. He turned on the light and called out to his dad.
"Papa! You here?"
There was no response. The teenager assumed his alcoholic father walked up to the bar a few blocks down. He let out a sigh and went into the living room.
He turned on the television. Carlos enjoyed the nightly news so he left it on while he walked into the kitchen to get a drink. He took out one of his dad's beers and cracked it open.
Carlos scrolled through his phone as he kept the fridge open, looking through his Instagram. Suddenly, he heard the door open.
"Papa?" He called out. "Back already? Don't tell me they kicked you out."
He got no response and heard the door close again. Carlos peeked out into the living room but saw no sign of his old man.
"Papa?" He called out again, then went out to look into the hallway.
"The fuck?" He muttered.
Carlos ended up sitting down on the couch. He kept watching the news as he enjoyed his beverage.
"The attack of the unidentified Woodsboro senior has gotten the town to be on high alert, as well as canceling classes until further notice."
"Thank fucking God." Carlos mumbled.
"There are unconfirmed reports that this may be yet another Ghostface attack, the last one being perpetrated by Dylan L/N, who murdered seven students and a teacher six years ago at Woodsboro High School."
Suddenly, Carlos heard the bathroom door in the hallway close. The teenager called out again, assuming his dad was still inside.
"You here? Hello?"
He got no response. Carlos let out an exhale and got up to check the bathroom. He opened it but saw no one inside.
Carlos shook his head but was weirded out by all the noises he was hearing. He then eyed the shower curtain, seeing that it was shut as well.
He crept up to it, his heart rate rising as he thought someone would be in it. Carlos took a step, then another, and another, before reaching out and grabbing the curtain.
Carlos pulled it aside but saw no one. He let out a sigh of relief.
"Fuck am I even thinking?"
The teenager turned around...where he was now face-to-face with Ghostface.
"What the—?"
The killer slashed at him but only got his arm. Ghostface then grabbed and tried pinning him to the wall, but Carlos kneed their side.
The figure grunted in pain and Carlos escaped their grasp. He ran out of the bathroom but was slashed on his thigh as he did. Carlos hit the wall but kept going.
He limped toward the living room. Carlos ended up grabbing the lamp on the counter and swinging it at Ghostface, hitting their face.
It didn't deter them as much though as the killer bent down, grabbed the back of his legs, and tackled him to the ground. He was basically put in a grappling hold and kept pinned down.
"Argh!" Carlos grunted, trying to get out of their grasp.
The teenager put his arm out and tried to push their face away, but Ghostface ended up taking it and breaking it from the elbow. Carlos yelled out in pain.
Ghostface took out their knife and raised it over their head but Carlos took the opportunity to kick them in the stomach again. They let out a grunt and flinched backward, giving Carlos a chance to crawl.
The killer scowled under their mask and went up to Carlos. They grabbed his leg and put him in a submission hold, where he soon twisted it and broke it too.
"Argh!" Carlos screamed.
Not able to move now, Ghostface crouched over the teenager. Carlos knew the end was near so he tried pleading for his life, but it fell on deaf ears. They toggled the voice changer beneath their mask.
"You should be honored, Carlos. You're the first kill in this installment."
With that, Ghostface raised their knife and plunged it into his chest.

THE FRIENDS WERE at the local bar playing pool. It was okay for them to be there at the time since they mostly stayed in the area made for teenagers. The group consisted of Chad, Liv, Wes, Amber, and Mindy.
"So what is she like, the sister?" Liv asked them.
"Sam?" Chad smiled. "Sam is so cool."
"You only say that because she let you wear Pokemon onesies to bed for a year." Mindy replied.
"That's true. That's a true statement."
They all laughed except Amber. She was not amused and was the least excited about Sam's arrival back to Woodsboro.
"No, trust me, Sam is not cool. Her dad left her mom, right? Walks right out when Tara's eight, Sam's 13. Sam started acting out, getting in trouble with the cops. And then, on Sam's 18th birthday, she leaves. Ghosts them all. Maybe Sam's changed. I just don't want to see Tara hurt again."
"So what, you're protecting Tara from her own sister now?" Wes asked, holding the pool cue at his side.
"Well, someone has to."
"Okay, so...before Y/N, you always thought no guys are good enough for her...and now her family's off-limits, too?"
"Mm, motive." Mindy hummed. "If I can't have her, no one can."
Wes scoffed. "What?"
"We all know you had a crush on Tara, maybe still do."
"Okay. Come on, Mindy. I was literally there when I egged Y/N on to basically ask her out."
"And the feeling of regret finally came." She butted.
"Or maybe you paired her up with the wrong guy." Amber cut in, looking at Wes. "Boyfriend killer? It's like the original movie all over again."
Chad began. "You don't really think—"
Suddenly, the bell of the front door went off. Both Y/N and Anthony came in and waved at their friends.
"Wazzup." Anthony jokingly greeted.
"Hmm. What took you guys so long?" Amber asked the brothers.
"My car broke down." Anthony said. "Had to call Y/N and give me a lift."
Y/N corroborated the claim. "Yeah. Dumbass here didn't realize his battery was old as hell."
"Not my fault Dad gave me a hand me down." Anthony replied then looked at Amber. "Why you ask?"
"Just because." She said.
"Ah. Still narrowing down the suspect list?"
"We're all suspects." Mindy said.
Chad glanced at his sister and smiled as he held up his glass, trying to convince her that he was okay. She didn't buy it.
"Except maybe Liv." She added.
Liv smiled. "Thank you."
"You're way too boring to be a psycho."
Suddenly, Vince called out to the group, mostly Liv.
"Yo, Liv. You want a real drink? Or are you happy sitting at this kids' table?"
Chad scoffed, choosing to leave the table and step up to the older man.
"Listen up, Uglier Michael Myers, it was a summer fling. It meant nothing."
"Was I talking to you?" He shot back.
"I don't care who you're talking to."
Vince ignored him and at the girl. "Liv, let's go."
"Don't talk to her!" Chad exclaimed. "I don't want to hear your voice."
"Shut your mouth." Vince gritted his teeth and pulled out his switchblade. "Better shut the fuck up."
Suddenly, a drunken man called out. They looked at him and saw that it was Dewey Riley. Vince scoffed at his presence.
"Hey, Vince. Come on, you don't want to hurt anyone. Leave these kids alone and come have a drink with me."
"Fuck you, Riley."
He pointed the knife at his face. Dewey immediately grabbed his arm and tried disarming him. Vince groaned in pain and was forced to drop the knife.
"What do you think you're—?"
Dewey was immediately punched by Vince. He hit the pool table and fell to the ground. Chad quickly pushed Vince away.
"Wha—What the fuck is wrong with you?" He exclaimed.
A bartender heard the commotion and shouted at Vince.
"Hey! Get out of here or I'm calling the cops."
Vince bobbed his head and tried scaring Chad, but he wasn't deterred. He gestured for him to get out too.
"Go!"
"I'll see you soon, sweetheart." He told Liv before walking away.
"Hey, man, fuck you." Chad shouted.
"You kids, too!" The bartender ordered the teenagers. "Let's go!"
Vince walked out but spat at Dewey. "Fuck you, Riley."
Anthony groaned, reacting to the bartender's instruction. "What? We just showed up."
Y/N shook his head and started walking out with his brother. Chad let out an exasperated sigh.
"Did you see that shit?" He muttered.
"Come on." Y/N told him.
Before he left, Y/N offered a hand and helped Dewey up. The young man shook his head.
"Sorry, Dewey."
"I'm fine, kid. I'm fine." He waved him off.
Y/N nodded. The friend group soon walked out of the establishment on the bartender's orders.
Later, Vince was outside peeing against a wall. He numbered angrily to himself.
"Fuck this bar, man. Fuck you. Fuck it!"
Suddenly, the engine of his car turned on and his headlights beamed. He turned around and was blinded by the bright light. Vince could also hear the music from his stereo.
He pulled up his fly and turned around, walking back to his car. He shielded his eyes from the light shining at him. His engine kept revving.
"What the fuck?" He muttered.
Vince thought it was Chad playing around with him. He scoffed and opened up his arms, welcoming a challenge.
"Is that you, pretty boy?" He shouted. "Huh? Get out of my fucking car!"
Vince got to his vehicle but saw that no one was inside. He was confused and slowly walked up to his door. He was vigilant as he did and started looking around.
He leaned into his car and shut it off. Vince let out a sigh and got back out, still confused about what had happened.
A knife quickly stabbed into his jugular. Vince stumbled back, holding his profusely bleeding wound. Ghostface was behind him holding the bloody knife they used.
Vince got weaker and was losing consciousness because of blood loss. He fell on his stomach and tried crawling away, but his body was beginning to shut down.
Ghostface stood over him, watching as Vince gurgled and finally bled out. The killer held the knife up and wiped off the blood before walking off.

THE TEENAGERS WERE at the station for additional questioning. While there, they heard the news that Carlos was found dead at his house and that Vince was murdered outside of the bar.
Sheriff Hicks finished talking with the kids and then moved to her office to speak with Dewey, who was also called to the station. The teens still sat outside.
"So Carlos got killed?" Chad asked. "Fuck..."
Amber turned to the L/N brothers. "You two wouldn't know anything about that, huh?"
"Amber, what the fuck?" Anthony retorted.
"Kinda convenient the asshole who's messed with you all this time finally bit the bullet...or knife. Whatever they used."
Y/N flipped it back on her. "How do you know he got killed by a knife?"
"It's common sense. It's fucking Ghostface."
"He doesn't resort to just knives though. Killed Dewey's sister with a garage door." Mindy said, then pointed at the brothers. "Their uncle ended up shooting Derek Feldman."
"Spoilers." Anthony butted, glancing at Y/N. "He's never seen Stab 2."
"Thanks." Y/N replied sarcastically.
Wes let out a sigh. "Carlos is dead. Vince is dead. Is there like...a pattern or something?"
"Yeah. Both were assholes." Liv replied.
"Bullies." Chad pointed out.
"And there's only one Ghostface who despised them." Amber added.
They all glanced at Y/N and Anthony, not because they still suspected them (there was still valid suspicion), but because they knew the two were aware of who they were referring to.
Y/N glanced at his brother before letting out a sigh.
"Guess we gotta pay Dylan a visit."
