“Is there a number we can call for your parents?” asked Mike.

“Where's your hair? Do you have cancer?” Dustin asked, pointing to her shaved head.

“Did you run away?” asked Lucas.

“Are you in some kind of trouble?” asked Mike.

“Is that blood?” Lucas asked, pointing to the stain on her shirt.

“Stop it! You're freaking her out!” Mike smacked his hand away.

“She's freaking me out!” Lucas told him.

“I bet she's deaf.” Dustin clapped his hands together to see the girl flinch. “Not deaf.”

“All right, that's enough, all right? She's just scared and cold. It is storming outside! Maybe she has astraphobia.” I commented staring at the girl.

The girl with the shaved head stared at us. No. She wasn’t staring at us. She was staring at my gloves. The gloves that were keeping the icy fear from escaping my skin.

“Here, these are clean. Okay?” Mike handed her a pair of clean clothes from the basket of clean clothes in the corner.

The girl took the clothes into her hands and placed them besides her. Before she started to take off her shirt. The boys whipped around exclaiming, “No.” over and over again as I stopped her from doing anything. I pointed over towards the bathroom.

“See over there? That’s the bathroom. Privacy. Get it?” I told her.

She gave me a confused expression and I turned to Mike and sent him a look. He mouthed oh at me and took the scared girl away to the bathroom before coming back.

“This is mental.” Dustin commented when our friends came back.

“At least she can talk.” Mike told them. I nodded in agreement.

“She said ‘no’ and ‘yes.’ Your three-year-old sister says more.” Lucas told him.

“She tried to get naked.” Dustin said, agreeing with Lucas.

“There's something seriously wrong with her.” Lucas explained. “Like, wrong in the head.”

“She just went like…” Dustin did a motion as to undress.

“I bet she escaped from Pennhurst.” Lucas commented.

“From where?” Mike said before I had a chance to ask.

“The nuthouse in Kerley County.” explained Lucas.

“You got a lot of family there?” Dustin teased him.

“Bite me.” Lucas challenged him.

“Boys, this is so not the time for this okay.” I told them, trying to intervene before one of them does sometting themselves and the other will regret.

“Seriously though, think about it. That would explain her shaved hair and why she's so crazy.” Lucas said (finally taking my advice on something.

“Why she went like…” Dustin did the motion again.

“She's an escapee is the point. She's probably a psycho.” Lucas told his friend.

“Like Michael Myers.” Dustin commented.

“Exactly! We should've never brought her here.” Lucas turned to our raven haired, pale face friend of ours.

“So you just wanted to leave her out in that storm?” he asked him.

“Yes! We went out to find Will, not another problem. I think we should tell your mom.” Lucas told him.

“I second that.” Dustin said before looking at me. I raised my hands in defense. I’m not going into that piranha infested water.

“You know I think [Y/N]’s the only sensible one right now. Who's crazy now?” Mike asked.

“How is that crazy?” asked Lucas.

“You might not remember this, but…”

“'Cause, we weren't supposed to be out tonight, remember?” Mike added for me.

“So?” Lucas shrugged it off.

“So if I tell my mom and she tells your mom and your mom and your stepmom…” Mike said, looking at the two, my guess hoping for them to get the gist of the situation.

“Our houses become Alcatraz.” Lucas sighed.

“Exactly. We'll never find Will. All right, here's the plan. She sleeps here tonight.” Mike said.

“You're letting a girl-.”

“Just listen!” Mike interrupted Dustin (but I understand why, it was pointless). “In the morning, she sneaks around my house, goes to the front door and rings my doorbell. My mom will answer and know exactly what to do. She'll send her back to Pennhurst or wherever she comes from. We'll be totally in the clear. And tomorrow night, we go back out. And this time, we find Will.”

“I like that idea. Let’s take his idea and run with it. Like mature twelve year olds.” I said.

“Name one mature twelve year old you know.” Dustin said as both he and Lucas turned to look at me.

“Point taken, but that’s an idea. Do y’all have any others that won’t land us in prison, the morge, or isolation from one another?”

**

“Oh, this is weird. He's never this late.” Dustin said, looking at Mike’s empty seat.

“I'm telling you, his stupid plan failed.” Lucas said, bringing out his book.

“I thought you liked his plan.” Dustin commented.

“No, that was [Y/N]. I just went with it because like he said, she’s the sensible one.” Aw! Thank you, Lucas! “but obviously it was stupid, or he'd be here.”

“If his mom found out a girl spent the night-.”

“He's in deep shit right about now.” Lucas said.

“We’re all in deep shit if she found out.” I commented.

“Hey, what if she slept naked?” Dustin seems a little too eager about that question.

“Oh, my God, she didn't.” Lucas told him.

“Oh, if Mrs. Wheeler tells my parents…” Dustin held his head in his hand.

“No way. Mike would never rat us out!” Lucas shot down that idea.

“I don't know.” Why do you have to be a pessimist towards our friend?

“All that matters is, after school, the freak will be back in the loony bin, and we can focus on what really matters, finding Will.” Lucas said.

So I started watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and I finished the first season. And my review? The first part was boring. The only good thing was the opening (which was epic). The dialogue and events were cringy and it put me off. But because my friends say Part 1 is the lowest point of the series, I pushed through and got immediately attached to Part 2. For some reason, I don't know.
