"Nick can you just check the fucking camera!?"

Nick rolls his eyes and slouches further into the backseat to hide away from Matt's burning gaze in the rear view mirror.

"I check it all the time! Would it kill you to do it once in a while?"

Matt rolls his eyes while Chris cracks another drink open. "Seriously Nick it takes three fucking seconds to check if it's recording and that we're in frame"

The oldest triplet dramatically pulls open the door to the minivan to walk to the front. Once he checks that everything is in focus and in frame, he know climbs back into his seat so that they can continue recording for the night.

"See it wasn't that hard"

"Matt shut the fuck up"

The infamous intro cuts the clip short and plays.

"Alright! Welcome to another Friday video. Today we're going to be doing an updated Q & A video for you guys since we haven't done one in a while! I've read through a few of these and they're pretty funny I'm not gonna lie"

Nick speaks up from his place in the backseat "You're not gonna lie, Matt?"

Matt rolls his eyes at the comment while Chris keeps his eyes on his phone, already knowing how this video is going to go.

"No I'm not gonna lie, Nick"

Before his two brothers can carry on, Chris finds one that he likes from the Instagram question story and speaks up.

"When are you guys going back to LA? Uhhh we're going back soon for like, a week, just to do some things we can't do from here but we won't be doing a long trip for a little while yet" Chris finishes speaking and looks to Matt and Nick for approval before Nick takes over.

"Favourite Aces song at the? For me it's definitely what would you do, which you can go stream on all platforms right now!" Nick answers easily while smiling at the camera

The two younger triplets scroll through their Apple Music before answering

"Yeah, I'd definitely say what would you do is my favourite at the moment" Matt says as he locks his phone. Chris scrolls for a longer second before putting his right hand up in a 'don't come for me' way and looking to his brothers, a smile present on his face.

"Okay so I love what would you do but after listening to all their songs I've definitely played better than feeling lonely the most" Chris speaks and Matt nods his head in understanding, Nick following suit before speaking up again.

"Something in the water is also really good, but what would you do is a favourite right now which means you should go stream it and all the other songs we just named!" Nick follows his persuasive comment with a thumbs up, Matt and Chris mirroring the gesture.

They continue like this for another ten minutes, all questions range from ones about YouTube, to merch, to meet and greets to asking about their other friends. The video flows smoothly with minimal debate until a small grin slowly starts to overtake Nick's face. The oldest brother looks up from his phone, to the camera, to currently occupied Matt when he decides to clear his throat.

"Favourite member of the aces?"

Chris adjusts the way he's sitting and puts his phone down to think about his answer while Matt side-eyes Nick from the driver's seat.

"Well I feel like it wouldn't be fair to answer that" Chris distracts himself with his answer, completely oblivious to the staring contest happening between Matt and Nick.

"I've been speaking to Josie a lot recently but I don't know if favourite is the right word" Chris concludes as he shrugs.

Nick smirks "What about you Matt? Got a favourite member?"

Matt proceeds to roll his eyes and turn back to face the camera "I agree with Chris. We can't really choose because they're like, sisters, so is that really fair?"

Nick shoots the camera a deadpanned look

"So that means that Matt's favourite member is Gemma! Anyway-"

Matt's eyes go wide and he swivels his head around to look at Nick to defend himself "I didn't even say that! They're all nice girls and I don't think it would be right to choose!"

Nick rolls his eyes at Matt's piss-weak effort to defend himself, again.

"Anyway! I don't have a favourite. I speak to Avery the most but I've always really loved hearing Jade's vocals live so I'm pretty neutral" Nick continues to answer the question as if Matt isn't fighting for his life in the front seat.

Chris, who has been relatively silent through this whole ordeal, makes a face that tells everyone that he is now in the loop on what Matt, Nick and Madi have been going on about for the past two and a half weeks.

His eyes widen as he connects the dots and he opens his mouth to speak

"Oh my god! Is this-" a beeping sound cuts him off and a black box covers his mouth, his sentence is completely censored out of the video.

When the beeping stops and the black box's disappears, Matt and Nick's stunned and excited faces are all that's left to indicate to their viewers what just came out of Chris's mouth.

"Are you fucking serious Chris?! Nick is gonna have to edit to edit that out!"

"Oh I don't care about cutting it out! But you see it, right?" Nick's entire face lights up

Chris scoffs and nods his head "oh yeah, for sure!"

Nick and Chris continue to laugh about it while Matt sits back in his seat and closes his eyes in an attempt to keep his cool. When they're finally done he grabs the camera from the dashboard.

"Okay thanks for watching!" He hurry's through the putto, quickly screams and then shuts the camera off, handing it to Nick to put away while he drives the three of them home.

"Not a fucking word."

Gemma smiles at her phone before locking it for the night and putting it on charge, she sits down in front of their hair stylist before Johnny walks through the dressing room door. He walks over to the empty seat next to her and sits down to wait to get his own hair done before he has to get ready to go on stage.

"How are you feeling Gem? I know leading up to going on stage is hard for you" Johnny is soft as he speaks and he mindlessly fidgets with his rings whilst awaiting his friends answer.

Gemma sighs in an attempt to pull herself together and slow her heart rate down. It doesn't really work.

"Um, it's getting better. I'm trying to not let the nerves get to me too much but I think I'll be fine once you get on stage and we start running around, you know? It's just because we're all sat still waiting"

Johnny nods in understanding and goes to answer when a crew member pokes their head through the door. Johnny, Gemma and their stylist all focus their attention on him.

"Johnny, you're on stage in fifteen minutes. Let's go"

Johnny nods to the crew member and then turns back to Gemma, placing a hand on her shoulder "You're gonna be fine. Call Madi if you need some distracting, I know she'd be happy to help!" He smiles encouragingly and walks out the door.

Gemma focuses on her breathing some more.

ₓ˚. ୭ ˚○◦˚.˚◦○˚ ୧ .˚ₓ

Jade, Avery, Gemma and Josie all wait in the wings for their cue to go on stage. Adrenaline and anxiety pump through Gemma as she stands in front of her band mates trying to regain her wits.

She's done this a thousand times before. The stage is a second home and every single person out there is here to see her and her best friends perform like their life depends on it. From where she stands she can hear the crowd chant the band name so she focuses on that and not on the growing pit of anxiety attempting to swallow up her stomach.

Avery and Josie are busy mucking around and laughing when Jade places a careful hand on Gemma's shoulder and leans down a little to whisper in her ear.

"You're okay. Okay? It's just nerves. You know these songs and the choreo like the back of your own hand, Gem. Everything is gonna go smoothly and we're gonna have the best first show ever! Okay? We're gonna be great!" Jade's calming tone is momentarily the only thing that Gemma hears. The reassurance lifts a weight off Gem's chest and she takes a long, deep breath in and out. The butterflies calm down and the anxiety starts to melt away when Johnny comes racing up behind the group of four.

"Chris says good luck and that they're all cheering you guys on from Boston!"

The girls all smile at each other when Johnny puts his phone away and steps back slightly, their cue comes through their in-ears and the intro music to the show plays over the speakers.

Jade squeezes Gemma's shoulder one last time before all the girls get into a huddle.

"Alright ladies! Let's have the absolute time of our lives and go out there and smash it!" Avery shouts to their huddle encouragingly before they break and put their hands in the middle of the small circle.

"Glory days on three! One, two, three!" Jade shouts to the band as well as the crew standing with them in the wings

"Glory days!"

The lights finally dim, and magenta glow illuminates the venue. On the big screen behind the stage, visuals of the band show up and the first notes of what would you do play. The crew, Louise and Johnny all clap them as they run out on stage to finally begin their glory days tour.

Ahhhhhh how do we feel? tour has finally started! (Don't worry, I will not be writing abt all 50 states) we get to see more of Johnny's dynamic with the girls and Chris is FINALLY in the loop!!

Hopefully will be updating again tomorrow because chapter 7 is so fucking cute and guess what? It's all about Matt and Gem!!
