The air is sweet and the breeze cool, a perfect day in late spring. Yet Yura doesn't feel the warmth, her body temperature falling.

Yura is hiding herself in her self built walls, protecting herself from the danger of the world outside her little one; scared that people will take advantage of her vulnerable state once again.

At the other end of this walk is Jeongguk, a boy whom she can't be sure is on her side.

He makes all the right noises; his face creases in all the right places, but she can't bring herself to fully trust him.

Yura desperately tries to not let Seokjin's words get to her, but they somehow swirl and turn in her mind without her allowance, causing a sudden pain to gush in patterns.

Insecurity blossoms in her chest, making her question all the actions of the boy from the hook-up site; wondering if he's simply pretending for whatever sick reasons that would be.

How is it that just a thought can bring long-buried emotions and stir what was actually settled?

That's why folks say to leave things be, to not go walking into the past so blindly. But what else is there to do when the way forward is the way back?

All thoughts have the potential to grow toxic, but insecurities are born hungry.
