Scarlett shuffles through the wooden flooring of her home, opening her front door to see Oliver beaming with a large rectangle wrapped present in his hands, having to move his head to the side so he could see his considerably shorter best friend.

"Happy birthday!" He cheers, but Scarlett could only muster a sort of deflated smile and tired sigh.

"Thank you, Ollie." Scarlett pulls a tight smile, letting her best friend inside the flat so he could set down the presents on the coffee table, nearest to him.

"Birthday blues? Sucks being 30, really?" Oliver sighs, sitting next to Scarlett on the sofa, who looked as grim and gloomy as the day she found out her grandma died. Yes, that bad.

Scarlett shrugs, "I dunno. Just not feeling it at all today."

Oliver sits up to look around the small flat, frowning a little at the little sight of another person roaming about it. "Where's the husband-to-be? Still sleeping?"

The sound of Oliver saying 'Husband' made Scarlett go from a relaxed to stiff state, her body freezing right up, which Oliver couldn't not notice on his best friend.
"What is it, Scarlett?"

Shaking her head, Scarlett stands to make her way to the open plan kitchen she grew to hate over the past few months.
"Just, things." She mumbles, reaching for two mugs in the cupboard.

Oliver stands and rushes to help Scarlett out, getting the mugs that she could barelt reach on her tip-toes, and gently turns her around on her shoulders.
"What things? You can tell me, or Tom! I could get him, and we can all talk. You look like you need it."

The proposition seemed ever convincing to Scarlett, and she felt as if she needed Tom for the first time in months. She missed her best friend, the person who understood her best.

She also felt something was off about Theo, and she couldn't pinpoint it.

Her mind kept flashing back to the day Tom punched Theo right in the jaw, but not that part. The part where he was showing her a photo of a man who looked exactly like Theo kissing a blonde woman who looked exactly like Sophie. The resemblance was uncanny, even through sunglasses.

"Yeah, I need Tom. I need him." Scarlett nods sadly, and Oliver reaches in his pocket to call Tom, who was practically ready to leave for Scarlett's anyway.
