Jihye quickly dumps all her books and notes into her bag
and studders a quick goodbye to the teacher,
before dashing out of the room
and into the stream of students flowing out of the school.
her eyes scan her surroundings,
searching for a particular head of curly brown hair.
he's there!
Jihye stops just a corner behind him,
peeking around like a shy anime school-girl.
should i even go up to him?
what would i even say?
should i congratulate him on his score?
ugh, i'm gonna sound like a creep then.
her thoughts racing in her mind,
bouncing around as he walks further away from the building she's behind.
screw it, i'm doing it.
Jihye turns around,
ready to confront her fear of embarrassment and rejection,
and is met with a face right in her's.
"ahh! what was that? Nari, what are you doing here?"
Jihye exclaims out of shock and lurches back a little.
"what do you think dummy, we're going to the academy together, like what we do every other day?"
Nari answers in return.
"the real question is why are you here?"
Jihye splutters,
attempting to come up with a decent excuse for why she's lurking in an isolated corner of the building.
"you were following him, weren't you?
that junior, what's his name, Jung Hoseok?"
Nari acquires like she could read Jihye's distorted mind.
"for the last time, he doesn't like you!
for the love of god, he doesn't even know you exist."
Nari stresses her point to Jihye,
only for it to fall on the other girl's deaf ears.
"well, we're in the same class-"
Jihye begins,
but soon rudely cut-off by her friend.
"but that doesn't mean he loves you! he's a junior and will be graduating in a year!
and who knows, he probably likes people his own age,
not some underaged dweeb like you."
silence awkwardly hangs above the two,
while Jihye is lost in her thoughts.
maybe he doesn't like me, maybe he does.
i won't stop until i get an answer,
acceptance or rejection.

quick a/n; the 'academy' they're going to is like an extra study. i was watching this video of a korean student's life and many went to these to prepare for uni entrance exams. my relatives in china do the same and i think they're called cram schools in japan. so yeah
