" I'D LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO A GREAT GUEST TODAY, A BLOOMING POP PRINCESS, MISS SCARLETT CABELLO, EVERYONE! " Ellen announces the her loyal audience, a rapturous applause followed as Scarlett timidly steps out onto the stage set from behind the sky-blue screen, waving sheepishly as she kisses Ellen's cheeks in greeting, taking a seat in the famous red armchair, smiling gleefully.

"It's so lovely to see you here in your first interview for almost two years! It's a real privelage, Scarlett." Ellen gushes to the Brit, and Scarlett takes the compliment with warm response, blushing.

"Well if I'm gonna give one, it has to be with you! You're television legend." Scarlett returns the favour, and the atmosphere for the chat host was set, Scarlett finally comfortable and knowing she was ready to talk about what they had discussed previously together on the phone just days prior.

"So, catch us up! You had seemed to escape from life a few months ago after your wedding, what did you do?"

With a sharp intake of breath, Scarlett swiftly prepared to answer the question she was given. This would be the first time she'd openly talk about it, to anyone. She couldn't even face talking to her family, or even Tom. She'd break down easily. "Well, I kinda did some well deserved travelling, y'know? I visited friends and family across the globe with my best friend, Tom, and recorded a whole bunch of songs on the way!"

Ellen nodded understandingly, pulling a sincere facial expression to alert Scarlett of the difficult question approaching. "And what was that like? Leaving behind a man who was meant to be your lifelong partner at the altar with your best friend, who you are constantly shipped with aswell?"

Scarlett's eyes widened; boy that was a tough question. "Well, for one, I walked down that aisle of the church having just been informed in the car on the way seconds before that my so called fiancé had been cheating on me for our entire relationship for...money! It was so humiliating, knowing that I had just been embarassed to such an extent. I was in love, like I, once again embarassingly, name a whole song after him on my last album! I thought - I thought he really was the one for me." Scarlett sniffs, taking a tissue that Ellen had suddenly appeared with in her hand, wiping her eyes as dry as she could. "Running away was the only thing I could do that made sense ! It was on offer, and to travel the world and spend months healing with Tom was the best thing I could have ever done. He really showed me that life could still be great." Scarlett smiles, through her tears that stung through reliving all the pain of last summer.

"Are you telling us that your former fiancé was conspiring to con you? With Sophie Carter?" Ellen questions, breaking the momentary silence that set an eerie and tense mood within the show's audience.

Scarlett nods definitively, sighing. "And I wish, Ellen, God, I wish that I took a whole different path in 2018, the one that was layed out for me. I was looking for someone to love, and he kinda came along at the right time, I guess, and he knew that and took advantage of it."

"Is that what In My Head is about? Thinking that Theo is someone who is meant to be the love of your life?"

"Uh, yeah. It's a song about forming a perfect ideal image of who someone is in your head, but they end up being...very different to what you daydream about. And I can't lie, I did write this entirely on my experience with the breakdown of the engagement. Most of the album is, y'know? I create my healing through my music, and I am extremely grateful for friends like Zendaya, Victoria and Oliver being there for me all the way, and to Tom especially, he really hasn't left my side during one day of this, even if I have lost my way sometimes." Scarlett finishes, concluding the hardcore part of the interview, deflating her chest as she blew out a complete yet subtle sigh of relief.

"And when is the third album due to come out? make up?"

"Make up is due for release on May 10th!" Scarlett giggles, so happy Oliver had forced her to release her music for her loving fans. It really was the biggest healing factor.

"And will you be going on a first world tour? You were meant to at the release of Almost is Never Enough, but cancelled to plan your wedding."

Scarlett almost scoffs, nodding her head, "Ellen, if this experience has taught me one thing, it's to never stop doing the things I dream of doing for a man. I'm definitely going on tour, and tickets will be announced around the time of the album release." She smiles, and Ellen corresponds it, displaying Scarlett with an outstretch of her arms.

"Well here you have it, ladies and gents, performing her third single for her third album make up, debuting here on Ellen, it's Scarlett Cabello with in my head!"

RUNNING UP TO HER HUSBAND IN THE GREEN ROOM OF ELLEN, SCARLETT GRABS TOM'S NECK AND NESTLES HERSELF IN IT. She had never felt so elated in all the months of feeling depressed and worthless and so self conscious since her wedding. Talking to Ellen, she had realised that most of her uplifted spirits were down to Tom.

Smiling down at her, Tom plants a soft kiss to Scarlett's forehead, resting his chin ontop of it after, humming gently. "You did so great, Scar, seriously you smashed it." He grins, and Scarlett couldn't help but grin, leaning back to place a firm but loving kiss on Tom's lips, not really caring in that moment who saw.

"You mean so much to me Tom, I love you." Scarlett confidently announces to the love of her life, and she had realised upon saying it that it was the first time in a long while since she had said it.

"I love you too, Scarlett." Tom gushes, looking like he was on the verge of tears at some point, but kept his emotion in for the sake of the pair of them not ending up as bawling messes.

"Marry me again."

" . . . You just asked me what, now?" Tom leans back, letting go of the embrace, eyes widened and eyebrows crossed in almost pure confusion.
