FRESH OFF THE PLANE, SCARLETT AND VICTORIA WERE IN THE LAND OF STARS. Scarlett often came to LA, but the occasion was moreso significant because of one thing: this was going to be the first time Scarlett was going to see Tom since they first broken up. They were to celebrate making up and trying to revamp their relationship, while also attending the most prestigious music awards of the year.

"Home sweet home." Victoria sighs contently, her little holiday in London over and now she was able to relax in her own hometown. Scarlett smiles, wired, taking Myron by his leash and walking toward the car, her hands shaking a little due to the sheer nervousness of meeting with Tom in what feels like the first time in forever.

Victoria notices Scarlett in her tepid mental shake, wrapping an arm around her best friend's shoulder, kissing the side of her head. "Now, now, you and Tom are going to be fine. Just, talk it out, be the adults you are, and discuss how you're going to go forward in this."

"Yeah, but being adults is...weird! It's not like me and him at all, we very much stick to the light-hearted side of things. In all our years as best friends, it's incredibly rare for us to be serious."

"Don't you see that's your problem? You're living like you're still twelve living in your parents houses still. You're both thirty, almost thirty one! Time to grow up, don't you think?" Victoria raises her eyebrows knowingly, and Scarlett gasps, almost dropping Myron's lead and letting him run free.

She really did treat Tom like they were still children, and so did he. The childish fights, the way it blew out of unnecessary proportion, hell, it took Scarlett to fall out with her only family to make her realise that she still loved Tom. There was no need for more damage to be caused. She needed to grow some balls.

"Right. You're right. God, I'm such an idiot." Scarlett shakes her head, holding Myron in her lap as she sat in the backseat of the car that was meant for her and Victoria to take to Zendaya's set on her new show, Euphoria.

"You're not. You're just in love." Victoria replies, making Scarlett roll her eyes and imitate a gag, erupting a cackle of laughter from her best friend, the two now losing their self control of serious chatting to replace it with infectious laughter.

"God, I feel like I'm in one of those silly rom coms that I always get sucked into. I'm talking to him tomorrow morning, and we'll see where we're going to go from there. That's it. It's no biggie, I'm singing at the Grammy's tomorrow, why would I care?" Scarlett rambles after the laughter toned itself down, almost talking to herself and the presence of Vic slowly forgotten about until she finished speaking, suddenly back in the reality of the car.

"See? That's the thirty year old we need to see more often."
