We're all wondering what the heck just happened on Instagram last night.

Tom Holland and Scarlett Cabello, both 30, seem to have been communicating cryptically to one another on the social media platform late last night, the basis of the messages to be the debut single that rose Cabello to her fame in 2016.

In the string of now - deleted posts, Cabello posts a selfie of herself with long hair, a rarity for the singer, captioning the photo with 'love me harder.'; referencing the hit from her first album in 2016, which was co-written by both Holland and Cabello, and Tom also starred as Scarlett's love interest throughout the music video, as they kiss multiple times.

Minutes later, Scarlett's new best friend Victoria Monét, 29, posts a photo with herself and the global popstar, with the caption 'love her harder, idiot', tagging Scarlett in the process.

Scarlett and Victoria met here in New York in November 2019, while Scarlett was MIA from the media with Tom.

Fans make reference that the message was calling out to the Spiderman star, who revealed he will be filming the third instalment of the MCU franchise in the late summer, but couldn't be sure of it as there was no sufficient evidence and nobody was tagged.

However, just over an hour later at 23:00 GMT, Holland posts a short clip of Cabello at the end of the 'Love Me Harder' music video, captioning the photo with 'okay', but disabling the comments entirely on the video. All three posts made by the friends and former couple has amassed over 19 million likes in the short 105 minutes they were all up for collectively.

No one knows what the posts mean, but we sure hope it means that Tomlett once more reunite.
