Chapter Two

The bell rang, indicating school was over. As I was walking out the door, I turned my head to notice kids were circling around something. Curious, I pushed past everyone, my jaw dropping once I saw Flash Thompson on top of Peter, punching his face into the ground. Peter's nose was bleeding, his lip busted.

"Flash stop!" I yelled, running up to him and trying to pull him off. He did, but quickly grabbed my wrist.

Big mistake there buddy.

I tilted my head and smirked, spinning so that my back was facing him, easily flipping him over my small frame, his back hitting the pavement with a loud thud. Everyone gasped, some taking a video and photos.

This, quickly made me realize the mistake I made, whispering quietly.

"Hax, I need you to delete all of those videos and photos." I said unsuspiciously.

"On it.... they are all erased." I smiled, quickly turning to Peter. He was groaning in pain as I helped him up, walking over to a very nervous Ned. I helped Peter sit down on a bench, taking out a tissue from my backpack.

"Here. You can use this for the blood." I said to Peter, who nodded in thanks, pressing the tissue to his bleeding nose.

I turned to Flash, who was scowling angrily at me and Peter. "I've never seen him get so... physical." I said to Ned and Peter, who nodded. "What did you do that pissed him off so much that he had to punch you?"

"He was picking on a freshman, I told him to stop and I guess he didn't like it." I smiled weakly.

"You are kind of known for sticking up for the little guy." I said, placing a hand on Peter's back. I felt him tense up before he relaxed, shrugging.

A car honked, all of us turning our heads to see Happy. I smiled, standing up as Peter did, walking over to the car.

"Happy? What are you doing here?" Happy's eyes widened at the sight of Peter, both of worry and fear.

"I-I uh. I'm here to pick up Megan." Happy said, his voice cracking at my name. I frowned, looking at them.

"You guys know each other?" Peters head snapped to me, nodding.

"I Uh- had a Stark internship."

"Huh. Cool." I said, shrugging. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow, Parker. Don't get into any more fights when I'm not there." I heard Peter snort as he rolled his eyes.

"Don't count on me keeping that promise." He said. I smiled, sliding into the back seat, with Happy already driving away.

"So. Peter had an internship with dad?" I said, leaning forward as Happy cleared his throat, nodding. "Huh... Guess that's why he was nervous when I said his name."

"What do you mean by 'said his name?" Happy asked, looking at me through the center mirror.

"Oh, me and Peter are advanced technology partners. We are going to be creating an AI contact lens!" I said with a smile. Happy laughed, his eyes glued to the road ahead.

"You really like making AI systems, don't you?" He asked. I shrugged.

"I like inventing things. I am Tony Stark's daughter." I said with a toothy grin.

"Yeah yeah, I know." Happy said. I smiled, looking out the window.

"Bye Happy! I'll see you later in an hour!" I said, waving to Happy as I stepped out of his car, walking up to the Avengers Compound.

I was immediately greeted by Bucky, who wrapped me in a tight hug. I laughed quietly, hugging him back.

"Hi Bucky. Have you seen my dad?" I said as he set me down.

"I think I saw him in the lab with Bruce. Have you seen Steve? He said he had to show me something about a cat online." I burst out laughing, shaking my head.

"I just got home, Bucky. The only person I've seen is you." I said as we started walking to the lab.

"Well, then what did you do today?" He said, seeming curious.

"Well. There is an advanced technology project that I have to do by the end of next week. Me and Peter Parker are-"

"Peter?" That same tone as my dad when I said his name.

"Why is everyone saying his name like that?! It's just a guy! It's not like he's going to-"

"I don't want to picture any of that, thank you very much." Bucky said, shaking his head. I laughed as we walked up to the lab.

"Well then, I have to talk to my dad. I'll see you at dinner!" I said as Bucky walked away, waving goodbye. We stopped waving once he was out of sight, something we had done since he first showed up not too long ago.

Granted, he tried to kill me. But we were past that and now we are thick as thieves. Steve thinks I'm replacing him.

"Hey dad. Hey Bruce." I said, setting my bag down on a chair as I walked up to my dad, who gave me a side hug.

"Hey kiddo." Bruce said, messing with a hologram blueprint. I walked over, trying to analyze it.

"Whatcha guys working on?" I said, staring at the anatomy of a robot.

Que terrifying Ultron flashbacks.

"Working on creating an android built to help people in a war. Don't worry, we've made sure it doesn't turn to— that." My dad said, talking about Ultron.

I nodded, shivering at the memories. That was probably the one time I had been out in the field to help. My dad had built me an iron suit like his, and the only good memory of it was hearing Steve yell "language" at my dad.

We still have yet to let him live it down.

I turned my head, my eyes widening. "IS THAT SPIDER-MANS SUIT?!" I yelled, running up to an iron spider-suit. My dad dropped his pen, running up in front of me and laughing.

"Spider-Mans suit? Come on kid, if spider-man was working with us you would know. It's just a simpler iron suit I've been working on." My dad lied. I frowned, looking over his shoulder.

"It looks like Spider- mom!" I saw my mom walking past the glass, a smile spreading across both of our faces as I ran out of the room, almost tackling her to the ground with my hug.

"Ah! Wow you are getting heavier." She laughed as she brought me into a hug.

"I blame the ever growing muscles." I chuckled. "So I have this new project, and I'm creating an AI with my new friend Peter-"

"Peter?" The same time as dad and Bucky.

"Why does everyone say his name like that?!" I frowned, crossing my arms.

"Oh, sorry. Continue." She said, walking as I followed her.

"So me and Peter are creating an AI contact lens, one that basically tells you EVERYTHING." My mom nodded as we sat down in the main room. I pulled out my sketch-book, landing on the contact lens.

"Wow. That's really impressive, Megan. Do you have the parts?" She asked. I nodded, closing the sketchbook and standing up.

"I have to go out and buy something for it. I'll be back before dinner!" I leaned down, kissing my mom on the cheek before walking to my room.

"Hax, lights please." Hax turned on the lights, allowing me to find my purse before the lights turned off. I walked out.

Happy was already waiting outside. I hopped in the car, a small smile on my face.

I stepped out of the car, Happy rolling down the passenger window. "If anything happens, call me or your dad." I rolled my eyes, nodding.

"I'll be fine, Happy. I love you. Bye!" I said waving.

"Love you too kid." He said with a small smile before driving off. I walked into Delmar's Deli, immediately greeted by Delmar.

"Megan! So good to see one of our regulars!" I smiled at Delmar, walking up to the counter, ordering a smoothie and sub sandwich.

"Cómo es la escuela? [translation: how is school?]" Delmar asked, a smile on my face as I crossed my arms, shrugging.

"Es... aburrida." I answered as someone in the back made my sandwich and smoothie. Delmar laughed, leaning on the counter.

"Stay in school kid. Or you'll end up like me." I payed for my drink and food, shaking my head.

"What? Making the best sandwiches in Queens?" I said with a laugh.

"Another regular said that exact same thing." Delmar said as I waved goodbye, sipping on my smoothie as I turned the corner, a skip to my walk as my head bobbed around.

I slipped my headphones onto my ears, "Price Tag" played, a smile crossing my face.

I didn't realize until now, but it was getting dark. I pulled out my phone, quickly calling Happy.

["Hey kid, I'll be there in 30."] he answered.

"See you then." I said with a smile on my face. I hung up, slipping the phone into my pocket. "Hax, where am I?"

"I can't tell. You are in a dead zone. I suggest you make your way back to Delmar's Deli." I nodded, turning around before stopping in my tracks.

A tall, scrawny man with a beer bottle in hand stood a few feet away from me, his face masked by the darkness. All I could see was his creepy smile.

I was calm, as I knew I would easily take him down if he tried anything. I quickly walked past him, but he grabbed my wrist.

"Where are you going, pretty girl? Let me take care of you. You look lost." I dug my nails into his wrist, his yelp echoing in the empty street.

I gasped, his hand now tightly around my throat. "You're coming with me." He said, his breath coated with beer. I gagged, kicking his knees and then in his dick. He fell to the ground and I ran, and didn't stop until I saw people around me.

Happy was waiting by Delmars, and I quickly hopped in, acting calm. "Hey kid- what's on your neck?!" I pulled out my phone, realizing I already had a bruise in the shape of a hand around my neck. Why am I so damn pale?

"I'm fine. Just some creep trying to get in my pants. Just take me home." I said quietly with a frown. Happy sighed, driving off.

I heard a whoosh, nearly slamming my head into the glass as I looked up, seeing Spider-Man swinging around in the opposite direction. I smiled, backing into my chair.

I won't lie, Spider-Man is definitely my favorite hero. I know so many more and have actually met them, but the way he got his fascinates me.

If I ever told my dad I fancy a guy in spandex over my dad I think he would blast me into next year.
