Chapter Six
MJ held my feet as I did sit-ups in P.E. I looked over to see Ned holding Peter's feet as he did sit-ups as fast as I did. I looked back at MJ, who was looking around, seeming bored.
"Hey Megan." I stopped, turning my head to look at Liz, a small smile on my face as MJ stood up, walking away. I frowned, walking over to Liz and her friends.
"We are doing F marry kill Avengers edition. You want to join?" I stopped, smiling awkwardly before nodding, sitting down with them.
"So." Liz said, turning to me. "Thor, Iron Man, Hulk."
Did she HAVE to say my dad? Well I can't kill him that would be wrong. Thor would be fun to- gross.
"I'd have to go with F Thor. Marry Iron Man, kill Hulk." Sorry Bruce.
"What about Spider-Man?" Charles said, looking at me. I frowned, tilting my head.
"It's just Spider-Man." Betty said as Peter and Ned looked over at us.
"But didn't you guys see? He fought off four guys trying to rob a bank!" I said, holding back a smile. Liz's eyes widened as she smirked, playfully pushing my shoulder.
"Someone is crushing on Spider-Man!" My eyes widened as I shook my head.
"No I'm not- well... kind of.." I said, shrugging.
"Gross. He's probably like. Thirty." Betty said, grimacing.
"So? I'd still love him for who he i-"
"PETER KNOWS SPIDER-MAN." Everyone stopped, my head turning to look at Peter, who was glaring at Ned. Peter shot up, scrambling over to where Liz and I were sitting.
"No, I don't. No. I mean... yeah." I felt a small smile brush across my lips. There was a thud, and I looked over to see Flash, walking towards ya as Peter continued to stutter.
"They're friends!" Ned said as Peter shot him another glare.
"Yeah. Just like Coach Wilson and Captain America are 'friends.'" Flash said with a snort.
"I mean yeah.. I've met him a couple of times through the Stark Internship.. mhmm." Peter said, looking at me nervously. "But I'm not really supposed to talk about it." He said, staring at Ned.
"Well that sounds awesome. Hey you know what? You should invite him to Liz's party!" Flash said, winking at Liz.
"P-party?" Peter said, looking at Liz.
"Yeah, Peter!" Liz said with a faint smile. "I'm having a party tonight-"
"You should invite your 'best friend' spider-man." Flash retaliated.
"Flash." I said, scowling at him. "Peter is too busy for Parties anyway."
"Oh come on." Flash said, walking up to Peter. "He'll be there, right?" The bell rang and I got up, fighting the urge to throw myself at Flash as I walked up to Peter.
"You don't have to go, Peter. Besides, getting someone as cool as Spider-Man to go to some Senior party is going to be difficult."

Megan smirks at me reassuringly before walking off to change. I turned to Ned, scowling.
"Dude what the hell?!" I said, walking up to him.
"I'm helping you out, man! Didn't you hear? Megan is totally crushing on you!" I frowned, thinking of words.
"Yeah. On Spider-Man." I said.
"But imagine what she'll think of you when he says he's friends with you! She'll be all over you then!"
"I don't want that, Ned! I want her to like me for who I am! Not because I'm friends with a superhero!" I said, my eyes widening as I realized what I just said.
"So you do like Megan! Aha I knew it!" Ned pumped a fist as we walked into the locker rooms. I ripped off my shirt angrily as Flash slapped the back of my head.
I scowled as he walked away. "I can pick on you all I want when she's not around, loser!" He said as he walked to his locker. I sighed as Ned and I changed.
"I can't believe you, Ned." I whispered angrily.

Ned and I sat in Aunt Mays car as she drove up to Liz's house. I felt my heart pound, my mind trailing off as I wondered what Megan would be wearing.
What? No I can't be thinking like that.
"This is a bad idea." I turn to May, worry in my eyes. "Let's just go home."
"Oh, Peter. I know. I know it's really hard trying to fit in with all the changes your body's going through. It's flowering now." May said, causing me to chuckle nervously at the ubsurd speech.
May turns to Ned, whispering. "He's been so stressed lately."
"And what better way to relieve that stress by going to a party!" Ned said, stepping out of the car. I sighed nodding.
"You're right. I'm going. I'm going." Aunt May smiled, giving me a hug before I got out, walking up to Liz's house.
"You have the suit right?" Ned asked. I groaned, lifting up my shirt a little to reveal the suit. "Dude this is gonna change our lives. spider-man will swing in, say you guys are right, then he'll give me a bro fist or one of those half hugs."
"Can't believe you guys are at this lame party." We turned our heads to look at MJ, who was biting into a cracker. We frowned, looking at each other.
"But, you're here too?" Ned said Indistinctly.
"Am I?" MJ said, walking away. I furrowed my brows, turning to see Megan walking up.
Holy shit.
Megan's hair was tied up in a high bun, some strands falling on the sides of her face. She was wearing an old black leather jacket, a pin on the left sleeve that said 'proof Tony Stark has a heart' while another pin was spider-mans emblem. She was also wearing an iron-man swimsuit, which I had to force back a laugh to.
"Where did you get those?" I said, my voice squeaking as it betrayed my nervousness, pointing at the pins. Megan looked at them, smile.
"I had them custom made. I can get you guys some." She said, looking at me. She turned to Ned, looking at his hat. "Cool hat, Ned."
"Thanks. I like the swimsuit." Ned said, causing Megan to smile, which in turn made me smile.
"Thanks, Ned. Oh wait!" She took off the jacket, turning around to reveal the other side as Spider-Man. I smiled for a moment before she put the jacket back on. "The suit is also custom made. I'm so happy you guys came. It was my idea for Liz to throw the party. I brought some snacks, Liz bought pizza and drinks. You guys help yourself." Liz glanced at my sleeve, her eyes widening for a moment.
I looked down, realizing some of my suit was showing and quickly hid it. Don't tell me she knows now. Don't tell me she knows now.
"I'm going to go find Liz and Betty, I think they are out by the pool. You guys should come join later!" She said, pouring some lemonade into a red cup before walking away.
I eyed Ned, who was smiling at me. "Hurry up man! Spider up!"
"I can't. No. Spider-Man isn't some party trick. I'm just gonna talk to Megan and... and be myself."
Ned sighed, shaking his head. "Peter... No one wants that." I frowned at him.
"Dude." I walked away, slightly hurt by the remark.
"Penis Parker! What's up?" I sighed, turning to see Flash behind the set up. "Where Spider-Man? Let me guess: Is he out banging your imaginary girlfriend?" He played a honking noise on the setup, to which I groaned in annoyance.

I discarded my shirt with the rest of my clothes on top of the roof, looking over the fence to see Megan, laughing at something Liz said. I felt my lips twitch into a smile as I started to go over what I would say.
"H-hey what's up I'm Spider-Man... Hey Megan Peter's told me a lot about you.. Just thought I'd swing by and say hey to my buddy Peter. Oh hey Ned have you seen Peter?" I sighed, shaking my head.
"God what am I doing? Trying to impress a girl by faking being friends with Spider-Man when I am Spiderman..." I see Ned inside looking for me. I frown as I hold my mask, kneeling down, ready to swing into the backyard. A blue explosion catches my eye, causing me to stand up and stare with concern.
"What the hell?" I run across the roof, slipping on my mask as I jump, swinging to where the explosion is. I run into a golf course, shooting a web and frowning when it attaches to nothing.
I groan, running as the sprinklers turn on. "THIS SUCKS-"

I hang upside down on an abandoned bridge, watching as a man grabs a weird looking gun, aiming at an even more abandoned car, shooting it with a blue explosive. I hold back a gasp of surprise as they all hoot and laugh.
"This is crafted from a reclaimed sub-Ultron arm straight from Sokovia. Give it a try." Eesh. Stark has told me about Ultron.
Holy crap that means all those weapons are super dangerous.
"Man I wanted something low-key. Why you tryna up sell me, man?" The man said as the other one handed him the arm.

I sat my cup down on a table, walking around barefoot in Liz's house as I searched for Peter. I ran into Ned, frowning.
"Where's Peter?" I said, causing Ned to stammer.
"Um... he uh.. He just.. he went to the bathroom!" I frowned, crossing my arms.
"Well I hope he comes back-"
"When I say Penis. You say Parker!" My head snapped around to see Flash, laughing his ass off as he started picking on Peter.
I stormed up to him, snatching the microphone out of his hands, banging it on the setup so it ringed into the stereos, causing everyone to groan in pain.
I noticed Ned was on the phone, holding it up towards me. I turned to Flash, a smirk on his face.
How about I wipe it off for him?
I slapped Flash hard across the face, everyone "oooing" in response as Flash stared at me. I turned to everyone, holding the microphone to my mouth. "Do you assholes honestly think that making a joke of someone is funny? I mean look at yourselves! You're all in the WORST stage of life and you chose to bring someone down when he looks better than any of you COMBINED."
Everyone gasped in offense as I rolled my eyes. "And YOU, Flash." I said, poking him in the chest. "The next time I hear you call someone as nice as Peter Parker a dick or penis Parker. I SWEAR to you, I will rip off your atom of a dick and plaster it to your forehead with superglue." I turned back to the group, seeing Ned with a smile on his face. "You all are a bunch of children who have nothing better to do with their life than pick on a kid who has done NOTHING to any of you." I slammed the microphone down as Liz appeared, frowning.
I walked up to Liz, the urge to scream stuck in my throat. "Liz, thank you for having me, but I will be leaving now." I grabbed my shoes and jacket, not letting anyone have a say in me leaving.
It would take Happy too long to get here, so I chose to wait until I was far from the house to call him to pick me up.
"Hey ki- hey what's wrong?" Happy said as I threw my phone into the car, plopping down on the seat as I rubbed my hands over my face.
"Why are kids so damn mean to people who have done nothing wrong? I mean, Peter is such a nice kid, and all he wants to do is make everyone happy, but he gets so much shit thrown at him and he's never treated nicely. And it makes me so.. angry"
"Well, kid. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. And there is nothing you can do about it, Megan. No matter how hard you try to fix something, or how much you try to be nice, the world finds a way to make your life a living hell. You can be as nice as you want, and get so much hate. It doesn't matter if Peter is nice, the world will bring him down, and he will still manage to be happy." Happy said. How did he always know what to say?
I smiled slightly, nodding. "I guess you're right, Happy. I'll just have to try and make Peter's life worth living."
Happy chuckled, shaking his head. "Something tells me it already is."

Why do I honestly feel like that speech is something Happy would say? Because it sounds like something he would say.
