Chapter Seven
I walked into the gymnasium as the bell for school rang, stopping when I saw Peter. He looked at me, blushing before looking away.
"Peter where did you go last night? I know what Ned said was a lie but-" he cut me off with an awkward goofy smile.
"I guess parties aren't really my thing." I frowned for a moment before shrugging it off as Ned and MJ walked up. Ned smiled as MJ glanced at Peter every now and then before walking over to a chair off in the distance.
"Well, I guess we'll have to change that at some point." I said as I stepped up onto the stage with everyone else. Liz swayed around as she looked at her questions while Peter sat down next to Mr. Harrington, whispering something.
"Alright next question. What is the heaviest naturally occurring element?" I tapped my bell, a smile on my face.
"Uranium." Abe looked over at me, his hand hovering over the bell as he frowned. I smiled at him as he grumbled.
"I was gonna say that..." he mumbled.
"You are correct Megan! Good job." I smiled at Liz as MJ kicked her feet up on a desk.
"Okay, now open your books to page ten." Liz said as we did so. Hax buzzer in my ear, something he would do when I got a notification from my parents or Bucky.
I looked up as Mr. Harrington spoke up to Peter. "Peter, it's nationals. Is there no way you can take one weekend off?" I frowned as Hax raised the volume for me so I could listen to the conversation.
"I can't go to Washington because if Mr. Stark needs me then I have to make sure that I am here." Peter said as Flash scoffed.
"You haven't even been in the same room as Tony Stark." I tapped my pencil, leaning forward.
"Oh and you have, Flash?" Flash turned to me, grumbling something.
"Sorry buddy, can't hear you whining about Peter having a Stark Internship while you can't even get a job as a janitor." I heard a few snickers as MJ snorted, a smirk crossing my face as Flash sat down.
Peter cleated his throat. "Wait.. what's happening?" Cindy said, frowning.
"Peters not going to Washington." Sally said as Cindy shook her head.
"No. No no no no no no." Cindy said as I stood up.
"Right before nationals? Peter you need to be there!" I said, furrowing my brows.
"He already quit marching band and robotics lab." Everyone turned to MJ and frowned. "What? I'm observant." I shrugged, knowing it was actually true about MJ.
I looked up at the clock: 1:18. Liz sighed, looking over to Flash.
"Flash, you're filling in with Peter." She said, eyeing him up and down.
"Tsss I don't know. I'll have to check my calendar. I gotta got date with Black Widow coming up." I rolled my eyes.
"Please. She's looking, not desperate." I said as Liz laughed, Flash glaring at me as the bell rang. Peter shot up, running to his next class.
I frowned as I followed in his direction, since we did have the same class.

I barely payed attention today as I was too busy texting Natasha, holding back a laugh.
Me: How much money would it take for you to show up and very badly flirt with a kid in my class, ask him on a date, then ditch him?
Nat: Depends. Are they the one you're always beating up?
Me: ... possibly.
Nat: then I'll do it for $20. I'll be over in 5.
Me: wait youre doing this NOW?
Nat: hell yeah! He's in your class, right?
Me: yeah.
I held back the urge to burst into laughter, my face turning tomato red as my teacher looked over at me.
"Miss DeVoe. Everything alright?" I covered my mouth as I nodded, hearing the whirring of motorcycle tires.
Always gotta show up in style.
Natasha was in the classroom within minutes, everyone gasping as Flash choked, me and Peter glancing over at each other. I had a smile while Peter looked nervous.
"Excuse me, where is Flash Thompson?" Nat asked as everyone pointed at Flash, who was beet red. I snickered as Nat gave him a very bad seductive look and walked over to him. She passed by my desk, Hugh giving me as everyone whispered.
"So Flash, I hear we have a date coming up. Mind telling me why I wasn't invited?" She asked with a smirk. Flash just stared at her, wide eyed.
"I Uh.. you're um.. Youre talking to me." I pulled out my bag, taking out a $20 as I sat there, hiding my laughter. Peter leaned over, frowning.
"How the hell is Black Widow in our classroom? More importantly why is she talking to Flash?" I winked at Peter, who flushed.
"I have my ways of getting very famous people's numbers. Her and I have also been friends for years." I said as I looked over at Natasha, who was looking at me, making a money gesture.
"So Flash. I.." she poked his chest as everyone heard him gasp, Natasha leaning close to his face. "Will see you, tonight." She stood you, casually walking away as she snatched up my $20.
Flash sat in silence, looking like he was about to fan girl. He cleared his throat, smiling as the bell rang.
I turned to talk to Peter, but he was already out the door.

"Alright hurry up you lazy kids! I needa go home." I said as I walked outside. I turned the corner, ball in hand as I had my whistle hanging loosely in my mouth.
I stopped, watching a kid I didn't recognize jump over a fence that was too high for anyone to jump over without a little help. The whistle fell out of my mouth as the ball dropped, rolling away from me as I stood in shock.
"WHO THE FU-"

No, Coach Wilson will not be a regular, just thought I'd make a lil joke out of this chapter. And no, he will not say anything about this as Coach Wilson thinks he's seeing things, so he ignores it. He will not be looking into anything and start assuming if spiderman goes to Midtown.
