"Kick it here, Avi!"

Avneet barely glanced up from her book she was reading - twilight - at her yonger brother- Jaijeet. Rolling her eyes she focused on the line she left reading.

" Avi.. "

Annoyed, she looked up, groaning. The football had landed a few feet from the bench, she was currently sitting at. Glaring at the ball and then at her brother she decided to ignore him, again.

"Oh, come on, Avi " Jai whined from his place.

" I'm almost done with the chapter " She countered back without looking up. "Why do you always interrupt at the good parts? "

" Cause I can " Jai deadpanned at her , picking up his ball and tossing it back and forth in his hands. He waited for her but when she showed no movement to get up he went off with the ball, kicking it momentarily between his legs. He looked around the park, never losing the track of the ball . Spotting a less secluded area he kicked it hard , sending it flying into the grass. Jai chased after it.

He looked around and spotted his sister ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ reading. Such a beautiful, sunny day and his sister choses to read. ๐˜š๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ ๐˜ข ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฌ๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฎ. He rolled his eyes at her. She was always reading something and today decided on the dumbest books of all, his opinion, twilight. Jai got bored and kept swinging the ball ,here and there. He grinned slyly as he set the ball , as if setting up for a penalty kick , and let his right leg swing.

The foot ball flew in the grass with a speed, heading straight towards one person. Avneet.

Avneet's book went flying from her hands to land on the grass behind her. " Hey " She stood furiously , searching for whoever it had been that had taken her book out of her hands. Her eyes landed on the similar foot ball she knew all to well. " JAI " She screamed at the top of her lungs. Bending down she picked up her book and the ball, to look at her brother who was grinning at the point. Placing her book on the bench, Avneet made her way to the front where she got a perfect eye on her dear brother. She dropped the ball on the ground and kicked it, hard, in Jai's direction. She might have used her full strength to kick it.

The ball sailed over the top of Jai's head and on the other side of park.

"Hey " Jai exclaimed angrily at her.

" Sorry " She shrugged, not sounding sorry at all.

" Why'd you do that? " Jai ran towards her, ready to start a fight.

" Cause I can " She mocked his previous words back to him. "Look I'm trying to read. I have to get this book back to library pretty soon and I'm almost done"

Jai nodded his head in understanding " Okay... But can we play after? "

" I have more important things to do after " She replied bluntly "But, yeah, okay, we can have a match " She shrugged ready to return to her book.

" Hey, is this yours? "

Both turned towards the sound of a boy's voice. They saw a boy around their age approaching them. He was holding Jai's ball in his hands.

" That's mine " Jai said, snatching the ball out of his hands "Where'd you find it? "

The boy looked at Jai " It almost hit me in the head, " He told them " I was riding my bike when it came flying through the air. Mom told me to wear helmet today, but I don't think flying foot balls were the reason for it "

"That was my fault" Avneet apologized quickly " I kicked it too high for Jai to get it " She replied shyly.

Jai looked at his sister. Avneet's cheeks were pink and he was pretty sure it wasn't because it was a warm day. He eyed the boy and shifted a little closer to Avneet.

" You should play on a team " The boy said to Avneet, completely ignoring the look Jai was giving him. "That was pretty nice kick "

Before Avneet could open her mouth Jai replied " ๐˜ play on the city league "

"That's pretty cool " The boy replied impressed and stuck out a hand " I'm Siddharth " Jai just stared at his outstretched hand.

"I'm Avneet " She introduced herself pushing Jai to the side to get a good look at the boy " And that's my brother, Jai " She replied pointing her thumb at him.

" You guys are siblings? " Siddharth asked ,confused.

" You got a problem? " Jai snapped at him. Avneet rolled her eyes at him.

" No, not at all " Siddharth replied " Um.. You guys wanna hang out for a little bit? I was supposed to meet a friend here but he never showed up and it's too nice outside to go home "

Jai started to oppose but Avneet replied quickly " Sure , it would be fun " She followed Siddharth , leaving a dumbfounded Jai behind. He raised his arms exasperated before folding them over his chest. " Right....๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ she wants to play " He grumbled under his breath. Following after them, not wanting Avneet alone with a stranger. The twilight book long forgotten..
