Restless, they say it's easy to die but it is like a cat on a hot tin roof, jump and jump to get away from the burning sensation.

No matter if you stay a millisecond in the air or even less than that.

Hopping is your only way to resist the heat until you finally land on a cooler surface. Perhaps Namjoon already did, but he doesn't realise that, does he?

He is unsure of everything as if nothing is predictable like he accepted.

And this situation raises a question: what did he expect to be like after death? What was his anticipation on dying?

Simple, setting himself free from hurdles and difficulties of life. Namjoon supposed death would bring an end to everything.

Most people think the same as Namjoon, don't they? And we never really know what happens to them after death. But do they really wish to end themselves?

I'm sure you did notice that Namjoon still was in a dilemma as to what to really end and perhaps took the wrong step.

He wanted to end himself?

No. He just wanted to put an end to his troubles.

Death sounds like the easiest way to get out of a life mess and my buddy never knew what he was getting himself into.

No human will even know what death really is, these theories are predicted and after some logical-illogical contemplate is distributed and feeded to human brains.

The knowledge of death can never be revealed by a person because life is just an illusion which we live in. The real self is death who knows everything but life is just the part of a persona oxygen creates.

The persona will never know he was a delusion, maybe you find any rare case, opposing my statements but you'll never find death and life together.

A dead life may be possible in our myths, imagination or dreams…

"Namjoon. Namjoon. Namjoon."

Some creepy whispers resonated in the pitch dark environment of Namjoon's unconscious mind.

"Namjoon, get up. Why are you laying there!" The demonic voice softened and continued with a lower and rather sweet tone. "What happened to you, why do you look so-o pale?" The voice cracked at the end and Namjoon scrunched his eyes.

The voice was so familiar that Namjoon could not resist it, the peace needs to fade if it is in the way of him, stopping him from replying to his mother's voice.

"Maa ..." He sounded like a dying person, making his mother's worries raise higher than it already was.

"Oh, no no. What happened to you, son?"

She automatically cried out lifting Namjoon's head as she put him on her lap slowly rocking him back and forth.

"O-open your eyes, Joon." Her voice kicks in his unconsciousness, piercing the thick state of placidity, adding disturbance to unwanted peace and serenity.

"Uh.. mah..maa." Namjoon breathed out as his eyes fluttered.

One thing automatically clicked in Mrs Kim's mind and she dialed the ambulance number. Her panic state didn't bothered her from doing the right thing.

She kept all her attention on Namjoon's state, making sure he is breathing and is awake till rescue comes.

"Maa …"

Namjoon calls and she replies, everytime with the softest tone she ever used to him, it was a miracle which he couldn't believe at all. But it was happening.

"What happened to Namjoon doctor?"

Asked the couple consulting about their son's situation with so much eagerness.

The doctor shook his head as he left the report on the desk and offered them a smile. "Nothing to be worried about Mrs Kim. Your son had an attack last night."

"His body didn't had any sign of hurt or outer wounds, thus this must be because of a sudden episode of fear or anxiety."

The doctor continued as he kept on giving the couple looks from his glasses slightly down on the tip of the nose, vision.

"Mainly panic attacks are not imminent danger but his situation made it so like that. His body is weak. So, it affected him more. Dizziness is the sole reason for this act. Nothing much." The doctor finished taking a deep breath, he continued.

"And surely nothing to be worried about. Just keep him hydrated and also keep him away from any kind of intoxication."

Mrs Kim was all ears to him but Mr Kim was somewhat not that focused. He was rather feeling that he shouldn't have come.

The couple was on their way out when, "I know what you're thinking." a serious conversation started.

Mrs Kim looked at his husband with all the hatred she could put out for him. "You don't have to be like this when you come here yourself, I didn't call you anyways." She calmly explained wherever her heart was racing on a track, fuming in rage.

She previously noticed her husband's negative emotions and reactions.

"It's not like that honey." Mr Kim ushered.

"You see he has already neglected our past attempts at making his living better. I don't want you and I run after him like he is ten, he is a grown man."

These words hurted Mrs Kim from both sides.

Namjoon did left them, not because they didn't support him but because he just didn't want to be under their guidance.

What he wanted to be is independent, ruling his life on his own. He was not a toddler anymore, he surely could do that.

He was worried that his parents would be running their eyes over everything he would do and this made him separate.

"He just wanted to have a life out of our nagging. Stop assaulting him for wanting freedom!" Mrs Kim raised in the whisper.

"You say it's assault." This time Mr Kim spitted venom through his words as the bitter chuckle followed from behind.

"Hh! Then what is it that he is doing to himself? He took a leave, cut all the ties from us and the world. No one could reach him and when you forced yourself inside!"

His rage clearly put forth in those words as he whispered low growls. Mrs Kim kept her brimming tears to herself and showed fury in her sharp yet glancing eyes.

"What do you get to see? A broken man, pale and almost lifeless. What do you think he is doing to himself, if my. words are. an assault on him!?"

Mr Kim finally stopped when his voice reached higher than he wanted it to be.

"He is keeping us away, you try helping him all you want but will only turn to nothing, we are always there for him but he is the one who left us!"

Mr Kim addressed his disappointment with his son, the grudge he always carries on his shoulder whenever he is involved with Namjoon.

Mr Kim looked away, unable to retort or convey anything, her own weakness, these allegations kept her involved.

"I'll send someone for the night, don't stay here all night. Come back home. You have your car here?" Mr Kim calmly spoke after letting out his frustration.

"You really don't care about him, do you? Whatever you said, was that from the perspective of a father?"

Without answering her husband, she decided to question him first. The thing he started needs to be explained thoughtfully.

"Do you not feel the need to make sure your son is alive? You saw how he was in the hospital bed. As you call it lifeless."

She stopped with a hitch as sniffed her hiccup. And then a gust make flew in between them taking away the warmth.

"Then why don't you feel the need to make him happy and healthy? He left you, no questions on that. Ofcourse he did. But what about you?"

"I never left him, if he will come back. I'll forever embrace him like I used to." Mr Kim ushered an explanation in reply.

"What if he never did…? You saw his state, what if your son would never get up from the unconscious state!?" Mrs Kim sniffed and just weep a little.

Mr Kim had a limb in his throat, speechlessly staring at his woman.

"You know, honey. I understand you. You might be right on your place. Maybe your way is beneficial to you but for me." Mrs Kim gave her husband the deadliest glare of all times and then stepped closer.

"I can't let my son die and starve out of my ego. I'll be here, don't worry this hospital is safer than an embrace full of thorns."

She left a kiss on his dry lips before walking away. He watched her as the icy wind engulfed him again, lips slightly wet, sending shivering shocks in his body.

"Ya-Ya! Namjoon-ahh! What are you doing like that, lay down-lay down." Mrs Kim went back as she was greeted with Namjoon's hurtful moan.

He was trying to wake up but his body aches like he is laying on a bed of thorns.

Mrs Kim hastily went and settled her son on the bed by his back. His eyes met hers but he didn't know how to react.

"Now tell me what you need? I'll bring you that…" She crased his cheek, cupping it in her palm as her thumb drew circles on it.

His body relaxed in the feeling he longed for and he finally let his words resonate in her ears as she assured him that she is sitting right here with him.

"Maa, Jimin." He took a name which confused her utmost when she realises the relation of the name and Namjoon.

"What about Jimin?" She mused in her own mind finding anything which can come out of Namjoon's mind.

"He is-s d-dead." Namjoon shivered, his voice quaky and eyes fluttering as these words shocked her even more.

"Yes, but what about that?"

Namjoon snapped, unbelievably gazing at his mother as his body lifted up. Sudden and unexpected act of Namjoon made Mrs Kim back away as she gasped.

"What happened to you??"

"You say yes, when I said he is no more! Do you not understand what the meaning of death is!?" He became furious.

And the answer is simply no. We don't know what death is. We only know that there is a stage where life is snatched away from humans, making assumptions about death is our choice.

…But there's no proof that these theories about afterlife, death can ever be real.
