Lee had taught you hand seals not to long ago, because of this you could be ready to practice your first jutsu. You looked down at your jutsu book you had unburied from your hiding place. 

"Blooming Petal Shield, a defensive jutsu of the Floral Style, relies on the user's ability to harmonize their chakra with the natural beauty of flowers around them. To execute this technique, begin with the sequence of hand seals: Ram, Hare, then Flower." You read aloud to yourself.

You began with what the book had said, first forming the ram hand seal, then the hare, and last flower. You looked back at the book and read aloud to yourself once more.

"As your chakra flows outward, feel it tethering to the delicate petals nearby. Draw them into the air, commanding them to swirl and unite in a sphere around you. With focus, the petals will harden upon contact, forming a shield strong enough to deflect kunai, shuriken, and other minor threats."

You felt your chakra flow outward upon the flowers nearby as the book had said. You tried your best to command your chakra into the air as best you could but the petals ended up shooting towards your feet. You quickly dodged them with a yelp and swiftly stopped the jutsu.

'This is harder than I thought.'

Chakra was new to you as well. Only in your past time have you practice bringing out the little chakra you had and doing chakra control on anything you could climb.

You let a breath in then breathed out.

'Try again' You told yourself.

"Ram," You signed. "Hare," You signed again. "And flower!" 

This time you tried controlling your chakra onto the flowers around you instead of letting it flow out freely. 'So far so good' You said to yourself.

You commanded your chakra to the best of your abilitys to rise up into the air along with the petals it had picked up from your flower field. 

The petals lifted up and hovered in the air, as if waiting for you to tell them what to do next. You smiled at your progress and began to command the next step.

You controlled the petals to swirl and unite into a sphere up around you, and they did just that. 

And then all was left was the last step, you focused the hardest you could on each and every petal around you. They hardened in just the slightest every second, till it was as solid as a rock.

You cheered and admired your little petal shield.

You looked back at the book to see if there was anything else you could do with this jutsu and there was!

'But the true brilliance of the Blooming Petal Shield lies not in its defense but in its subtle offense. At your will, the petals can scatter outward in a dazzling burst, momentarily disorienting your opponent and granting you the precious seconds needed to reposition or escape.'

You perked up, 'That doesn't seem to hard!' You focused once more at the petals, unhardening them and they did just that.

And with on quick flick of the wrist the petals scattered everywhere, painting a beautiful picture of shimmering petals of all colors slowly falling down.

You had did it! Your first jutsu.
