CHAPTER THREE
It was in fact Siruis who found the pair the next morning, James had already been driving him crazy with quidditch talk and he had set out to the common room where he knew he'd find Remus- he just didn't expect Jasmine to be there too.
"You sly dog. Oi! You two, wakey wakey!"
They both stirred relatively quickly, Remus from his werewolf instincts and Jasmine from the left over paranoia because of the war. She grabbed her wand faster than Siruis could blink and pointed it at him- she stopped herself before she could cast a spell when her eyes met his familiar dark ones.
"O-oh Merlin, I'm sorry!" Siruis stepped back and gently moved her hand down. "Okay, let's all just relax, yeah?" Jas flushed in embarrassment again, as Siruis looked at her with a mildly impressed gaze. "Note to self, never wake Granger up unless one is a safe distance away."
She laughed nervously and ran her fingers through her hair. "Yeah, sorry, I uh- I'm a bit jumpy." Siruis scoffed and murmured, "A bit?" Remus, however, was struck with another mental image of James when Jas ran her fingers through her hair.
"Sooo, moving on from you trying to kill me, what were you two doing all snuggled up?" There was a slightly accusing tone in his voice as he wiggled his eye brows. "I- no- we- I just... You both suck." Jasmine growled as both boys started to snicker. "Ah, come on Granger! We were just having a joke,"
He swung an arm around her shoulder and she shivered. Her deceased godfather who was now younger than she was, is whispering in her ear. What in the name of Merlin happend to her life? When was the last time she could say she was normal? Was she ten?
"But, really, what were you doing all snuggled up to Moony, Jas? Hmm?" Jasmine bit her lip as Siruis leaned closer to her, smirking irresistibly. "My God, you really are a man slut." She managed to splutter out. Siruis's eyes widend in surprise as she pushed his hand off her shoulder and stepped away ftom him.
"I mean- I had a sneaking suspicion after like, when you were looking at me like you did last night. But now you just confimed it." She shrugged with feigned nonchalance. The dark haired boys face scrunched up offendedly while Remus hid a grin behind his hand.
"I am not a man slut!" He exclaimed. She quirked a brow skepticaly (if anyone can tell me how to actual spell that word it would be appreciated.) Jasmine placed a hand on his shoulder solemnly, "That's about as true as puns with your name are funny." She waved goodbye to them cheerfully while bounding up the stairs to the girls dorm.
Remus snorted in amusement at Siruis's incredulous expression. "How does she know about that?"
"Because I warned her about you when I was walking her from Dumbledores office with my darling Lily." Both teenagers turned as a sleepy James trudged down the stairs. "Prongs, can you believe it? She called me a man slut!"
James yawned widely as he sat down, "She wasn't wrong."

Jasmine sat down at breakfast an hour later with Lily and Marlene. She, so far, had learned that Marlene was a chaser on the Gryffindor quidditch team AND she was Siruis's ex. So that was fun. Lily had already been for a jog while everyone else was asleep and her red hair was put in a messy ponytail.
Twenty minutes after they'd sat down and Jas had listened to their bickering- the marauders came down. Jasmine scolded herself internally for forgetting Peter. Peter. That literal rat. She forced herself to look away as the four sat down in front of them, Remus with a slightly apologetic look.
"Good morning ladies." Lily hesitated momentarily before scoffing at James' greeting. "What do you want?" He simply gave her a charming smile before turning to his daughter. "So. I hear you pulled a wand out on Padfoot this morning?"
Marlene dropped her spoon in surprise as Siruis huffed beside him. Jasmine grinned to herself out of satisfaction. "Maybe. Why, would you like me to pull my wand out on you too?" She asked politely. The two girls beside her shared a smirk.
"I could show you my wand if you'd like, Granger."
"Seriouly Padfoot?"
"Cough. Man slut. Cough."
"I told you I'm not a man slut!"
"I'm so confused."
"Don't worry about it Peter. I have a feeling this is gonna be a recurring thing."
"Isn't it always with Black?"
"That was uncalled for you petaled plant!"
"Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it you big burning ball of gas?"
"Well, that certianly explains the smell."
James started to chuckle, "I like you. I can tell we're gonna get along just fine." Jasmine resisted the urge to smile like an idiot. Her dad liked her. He didn't find her annoying or weird. He liked her. She beamed but turned away so no one could see, but Remus did.
He was getting more and more confused by this girl. Firstly she falls from the sky with no idea where she was or what year it is. Then she wakes up in the middle of the night from a nightmare and has the words Filthy Half Breed on her back. And then of course theres the fact that she has the same mannerisms as James.
Now she looked as though she had just won the lottery because James said he thought she was alright. Siruis flicked his hair over his shoulder dramatically but Remus could see his eyes darting over to Jasmine as he teased Lily. It was pretty obvious she was quickly coming apart of their little group.
Remus frowned, he didn't want his friends to get hurt but he didn't want to assume things either. He looked back over to Jas just as she quirked an eyebrow as something Marlene said. Lily had done the same thing the last time James had asked her out.
"You alright Moony?" Remus looked up as all eyes fell on him. He smiled reassuringly, but it didn't reach his eyes. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I was just thinking." Lily quirked her brow and the werewolf fell even deeper in thought.

The first lesson of the day was Potions. Jasmine walked in with Siruis clutching her books to her chest, to say she was nervous would be the understatement of the century. Snape was in this class, along with the rest on the Slytherins.
Siruis finally noticed how unusaully quiet the new student had become. He looked around Slughorns familiar classroom for the source of her unease when he saw the green and silver robes. It seemed word of that particular houses bad reputation had even reached America.
"Hey. You'll be fine, you can sit next to me if you want." Jas jumped slightly, unaware that he had noticed her expression. She nibbled her bottom lip as she looked around the class, clearly the Slytherins weren't all too happy to have yet another Gryffindor.
She nodded faintly. "Yeah, if you don't mind. They look like they could kill me, like, what'd I do to them?" Siruis chuckled as he began to notice when she was nervous she'd use the word 'like' too much.
He guided her by the small her back to the corner of the room, ignoring the stares they were getting and sat down so if anybody came to try and talk to Jasmine it'd have to be over him. Jas giggled when she noticed this and remembered how many times Harry had done the same thing.
"Obviously they don't like you." She commented as yet another Slytherin sneered at him. He smirked but his eyes were tired. "The Blacks have been in Slytherin for centuries, until I came along and was sorted into Gryffindor. Mother dearest wasn't too happy about that one, luckily she had Reg' to be the favourite child."
Jasmine frowned as the two watched a brunette Slytherin boy point at Siruis and chuckle maliciously. She reached over and took his hand in hers. A small smile crept over his face as he looked down, "Thanks. Anyway, what's your family like?"
Jas thought for a moment before answering. "I have a twin brother, but, he uh... he wanted to stay at Ilvemorny. We used to live with our aunt and uncle but they're right gits." Siruis grinned appreciatively. "You've got a twin? What's he like?" She couldn't stop the snort of laughter that left her mouth and Siruis raised his eyebrows questioningly.
"Uh- sorry. But he's a big ball of awkward. We don't look alike at all, he's as observant as a crossiant and is constantly paranoid."
"Sounds like somebody I know."
"Hey! I'm not that bad."
"Sure. Let's go with that."
"You barely know me Siruis, don't go putting all your eggs in one basket." She said, a smirk playing on her pink lips.
Siruis's eyes trailed across her face, he noticed how her eyes crinkled in the corners when she smiled, how she bit her lip when she was thinking, how she positioned the hat she'd been wearing since he met her so it hid her face. Her eyes were a dark hazel colour and how her nose turned up ever so slightly.
She caught him staring and tilted her head curiously. Siruis didn't answer and instead turned to watch the rest of the lesson, squeezing her hand reassuringly and rubbing her thumb across hers.
