Storm Brewing

[season 5 episode 9]

"Fine do me," Sadie said to her fellow interns.  "As long as I get to do one of you next."

"Done," Lexie agreed with the blonde intern who was impressed.

"What have we got?" Mark asked Callie as it was his first day back from the babymoon.

"Massive injuries.  Shepherd and Hunt are working on them.  They were sleep walking and took a two-story head through a plate glass window.  Night terrors," Callie filled him in.

"Could you imagine?" Mark asked as he shook his head in disbelief.  "You wake up.  You're battered.  You're bruised.  You don't know how you got there."

"Seems like my life right now," Callie told him as they fast walked and had their surgery gowns on them.  "Married, betrayed, gay, abandoned, and no idea how I got here," she commented further and Mark looked at his person in concern.  "I just figure this is the bottom.  It's as bad as it gets.  It can only go up from here.  How was the babymoon?" Callie smirked to Mark as they entered the room where the patient was with Hunt.

"Best week of my life," he boasted.  "How's it been here?"

"Oh you know.  Same old, same old."

Alison was back at home, sleeping, since it was the middle of the night and she needed all the rest she could get since she had an eight in the morning appointment with her OB, Morgan.  Mark was hoping to be off in time to be able to make it to it but he wasn't sure.  Alison was okay if he wasn't able to be there.

"Left tib fib, the rest of trauma series is clear," Owen told the group of doctors.

"We need a CT," Derek orders as he checks out the patient.  "He's got free fluid in there."

Just then their patient wakes up which startles them but they quickly try to restrain them to lay back down.

"LET ME GET OUT OF THE WAY!" The patient yells.  "IVY!"

"Sir, you are in a hospital," Owen tells him.  "Your daughter is right here."

"Where's my daughter?" He asks harshly as the monitors go crazy.

"Dad, I'm right here," Riley calls out to him.

"Mister Sullivan, calm down," Mark tells him as they struggle to restrain him and Callie yells for more help.

Mister Sullivan was struggling and leaned back and punched Callie in the nose with his elbow as he didn't realize what he had done.  His daughter was frantic as she was trying to call out to him to get him to calm down and Callie fell to the floor due to the force of the punch.

*

"Okay, Bailey's got an appy in OR 2 so this floor is out," Lexie tells Sadie and Ryan as they look at the board.  "But outpatient surgery is totally open."

"Okay, let's go," Sadie says with excitement and three start to leave until they hear a familiar voice call out to them.

"Looking for something?" Meredith asks them and they turn around.

"Hi," Lexie greets her.  "Um, we're giving Sadie the tour," she says as she thought of a fast save.  "This is the OR board and this is a patient.  You're in good hands.  Doctor Grey is an excellent doctor."

"What's next on the tour?" Meredith quizzes her and Lexie seems confused on how to answer and Ryan answers fast.

"The skills lab," he tells the blonde resident.

"The skills lab," Lexie agrees.  "Great idea," she says as both her and Ryan leave.

"Gotta stick with my allies," Sadie tells her as she reminds Meredith of their conversation this morning.

"Smiley face posters," Meredith yells as she wheels her patient's bed out.  "That's all I'm saying."

*

Mark still hadn't showed up and she already had her blood drawn for the appointment and had been just received a quick text from Mark saying he wouldn't be able to make it.

"Your red blood cells are still lower than what I would like," Morgan told the mom-to-be that morning at her thirty-two week appointment.

"What is it?" Alison asked as she cradled her bump, as if she was protecting him from the news.

"Eighty-eight," Morgan told the surgeon which made her heart drop.

The plan was always that she would always have an epidural.  And if her blood cell level is low then that means no epidural.  Morgan then went on to explain that she needs to get her blood drawn every week up until the week she is due.  The next several days she wants Alison to meet with an oncologist, whether it's at Seattle Grace or somewhere else.  She's always off and on had low platelet levels but being pregnant has really heightened them.  If they kept being low then she would need to have iron transfusions three times a week for five weeks.  Alison asked Morgan questions because even though she was a surgeon and was a damn good one, it wasn't just her life anymore.  It was also their babies life too.

*

Sadie had her eyes on the surgeon talking to Derek as she shamelessly stared at his baby blue eyes, tall and incredibly good looking.  She fluffed up her hair a bit and sauntered over to them and gave him a charming smile as Derek and Mark stopped talking.

Mark was exhausted.  From being here in the middle of the night.  To helping the little girl get some sleep.  Not to mention missing his fiancé's baby appointment.  He was utterly exhausted but they were discussing the patient that they had just helped.

"Hi, I'm Sadie," the blonde introduced herself and Derek and Mark, who normally would have puffed out his chest and flirted back with her, was feeling incredibly awkward with her.

"Mark," he said with a strained smile and Derek could tell that he was uncomfortable.

It was a rarity to see Mark Sloan put in uncomfortable positions.  He was such an arrogant son of a bitch that in a way it was at the same time oddly satisfying for Derek to see best friend uncomfortable.

"Oh that's so great," Sadie let out laugh and the two men looked at her odd.

"It's great talking about patient's night terrors?" Mark asked as he squinted his eyes.

Who the hell was this woman?  Obviously she worked here since she was wearing intern scrubs.

"Uh..." she had to think of something quick.  "No.  I meant it's great you have such buff arms and steady hands to be able to help your patient," she said squeezing his bicep and he suddenly now realized how those women felt.

He felt violated.  And uncomfortable.  It was an odd feeling.

He took her hand off his bicep and she realized that was suddenly that was the wrong thing to do.

"Excuse me, but I'm engaged.  If you didn't hear from the other doctors and nurses at this hospital."

Alison had just finished up her with her appointment and noticed another coworker flirting with her husband so she walked up to them.

"Who are you?" Alison asked the blonde with squinted eyes as she was shamelessly flirting with her fiance.

"Sadie Harris," the blonde said confidently.

"You realize that you are unsuccessfully flirting with my fiance and baby daddy, right?" She asked as she caressed her bump and Mark looked down at her with pride.

"Uh, yeah.  He actually just told me.  Congratulations," Sadie muttered and left in a hurry.

Mark noticed something was off with his fiance and Derek realized they needed to talk alone so he left.  Mark rubbed her arms up and down, soothingly.

"Hey, you okay?  What happened with your OB this morning?"

This question set her over the edge and she broke down crying.

"Hey, it's okay," he told his fiancé and wrapped his arms around her as her head burrowed on his chest.

Even though he was exhausted, he needed to be there for his fiancé.

*

"You flirted with Sloan?" Meredith asked Sadie in shock once the blonde had told her the whole story.  "You know he's-"

"Engaged to a pissy pregnant woman?  Yeah, found out loud and clear," she scoffed and shook her head to which Meredith was offended.

"Hey, I like Alison and if she was pissy with you that must mean you did something to piss her off," Meredith said to her as she stood up for the peds surgeon.  "Like flirt with a certain plastic surgeon?"

"Whatever," Sadie rolled her eyes and walked away once she realized Meredith wasn't taking her side like she thought she would have.

The old Meredith would have but Sadie was unfortunately and slowly finding out that Meredith had changed.

*

"I can't believe this is happening," Callie groaned as she tilted her head back.  Mark was preparing the numbing medication for her nose so that she wouldn't feel too much pain.  Her head was tilted back and she held ice to her nose.

"It wasn't a great nose anyway," Mark tells her as he tries to make her feel better.

"Yes it was," Callie exclaims as she's shocked that her person would say something like that.  She figured if anyone would understand it would be Mark since he works in plastics.  He loved plastics.  "It was a nice nose."

"Relax, I was kidding," he tells her as he removes the bandages from her nose that stopped the bleeding.

"Ow," she whines.

"It was a gorgeous nose and it will be again.  Two weeks from now you won't even be able to tell anything happened," he tells her and he inspects it further.  "Mmm, three - four weeks tops."

"I hate you," she tells him as he places an instrument in her nose.

"You love me," he corrects her.

"Ow," Callie whines and cries.

"Just a little pinch."

"Ow, ow, ow," she cries more.

"Oh come on.  That didn't hurt," he tells her in his way of having her toughen up.  "My fiancé has been the victim of a ferry crash so that's nothing."

He wasn't trying to diminish her pain but he knew that she was mainly crying because she thought her life couldn't get any lower.  Until now.

"Yeah, well, maybe if I was having a good year I would feel like just a pinch but it hurts, Mark!  It hurts a lot!"

"You know what," he thinks about things as he inspects her and tilts her head back.  "I was going to do this with some local but I think we will use conscious sedation.  That way when you wake up - your nose will be fixed and it will be a whole new day," he explains to her as he feels bad for her.

"Okay, well, at least I'll still have you and Alison to be my friend, right?"

"Always," he tells her.

*

Lexie was trying to find as many supplies as she could when she turned around to walk and spotted Mark.

"Doctor Sloan, hi.  Hello.  Welcome back," she greets him.

"Thanks.  You know where they keep the IV kits in here?" He asked her.  "Where the hell are all of the damn interns?"

"Um, the interns are interning.  Really interning.  They're very busy," she rambled on and he looked at her confused.

"Doctor Sloan," Derek calls out to the plastics surgeon and he turns around to see his best friend.  "Little Grey.  Welcome back."

"Thanks.  I needed some medical supplies.  I did not invite the intern into the supply closet.  Go away now, Grey," Mark tells her.

"Thank you," she lets out a sigh of relief and rushes off.

"Stop looking at me like that.  I didn't do anything wrong and you don't need to tell Alison either."

"Just because you're having a baby with my person doesn't mean I trust you around women.  I'm watching you," he tells him as he does the motion with his two fingers up to his eyes and points them at him.

Mark laughs and shakes his head.

*

"I don't want you working on patients surgeries today," Doctor Kenley told the young surgeon.

"What?" Alison exclaimed.  "Why?"

"Because you are not on your a-game.  I can tell something happened earlier.  Do I care what it is?  No!  But I do care about our patients and will not have you jeopardizing their lives."

"Doctor Kenley, you know me," she tried to raise her case.  "You know that whatever is going on in my personal life I put it outside of the OR and keep it there.  I don't let it affect my work."

"I don't care," he shakes his head adamantly.

"But-" she began to say when he interrupted her.

"Nu-uh, zip it," Doctor Kenley told her as he held up his pointer finger at her.  "I don't care what you do.  You just won't operate today."

Alison's jaw dropped as he walked away.  She could understand it being any other person and he didn't want them working but this was her she was talking about!  Even though she wasn't like Lexie who had a photographic memory - she had the ability to be able to focus solely on work when things in her personal life seemed to crumble.  It was an ability she had mastered a long time ago and had been able to keep.

*

"If there was anyone that I trust to fix a nose - it's Mark.  And I'm not just saying because he's my fiancé," Alison reassures Callie.

"I know," Callie said to her good friend as she tried to smile but it hurt her nose.  "Ow, ow, ow," Callie whined as she held her nose.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Alison said as she rubbed Callie's shoulders and gave her a sympathy smile.

"It's okay.  Why did that stupid patient have to punch me?" She whined.  Things were not going her way and she was looking for a time when they would start looking up.

"Shit happens," Alison shrugs her shoulders.  "Just like shit happened to me today too."

"Is that why you aren't performing surgeries today?" Callie asked.

"Yeah," she let out a sigh and ate a sour patch watermelon as she gave Callie some too.  She had been craving something sweet and sour today and these were her choice of snacks.  "I was told that my red blood cells are low and if they remain low, I have to get iron transfusions and I might not get an epidural for birth."

"Oof," Callie shook her head.  "I couldn't imagine giving birth and not having an epidural.  You win."

"Uh, I think you win," Alison told her.

"Your right," Callie let out a sigh.  "My life sucks."

*

"Okay, she's numbed," Lexie announces to the group of interns as she checked the spot where the appendix was.  "You okay?" She asks Sadie wanting to double check.

"I find the fact that you have parents, and rules and smiley face posters oddly comforting," she says with a relaxed smile and closes her eyes.

"What?" She asks confused.

"I'm ready," she announces.

"Okay, surgical marker," Lexie says and is given the marker.  "I am going to mark the incision.  Can you hold that a little bit closer?" She asks another intern.  "One-third the distance from the anterior superior iliac spine to the umbilicus," she reads the instructions from the book.

She makes the mark and repeats the line that Derek always says before his surgeries: "it's a great day to save lives people."

But then she thinks about it.

"Although technically your life is just fine and -"

"It's nighttime," Ryan finishes.

"But Shepherd always says that," Lexie says.

"Would you just go?" Sadie asks getting impatient.

"Scalpel," Lexie says quickly and is handed it.

She starts freaking out though when the scalpel comes close to Sadies skin.

"This is a bad idea," Lexie begins and the interns groan.  "This is a really bad idea!  It's the middle of the night so our judgment is off.  We can use this frustration that we're feeling that's driven us to the point of doing a very stupid thing.  Something I'm sure we all would regret.  Probably from jail.  We can use the frustration for good.  We can ask for more time in the skills lab and we can ask to observe surgeries and we can demand that our residents teach us better."

Ryan starts to agree with her but Sadie doesn't like it and takes the scalpel and cuts herself which freaks Ryan out.

"Or you can just take out my appendix," Sadie counters.

*

"There it is," an intern exclaims as Lexie found it.

"I want to see," Sadie tells them and another intern gets a mirror to show her.  "Oh, cool!"

"Huh," Lexie says as she notices something.

"What?"

"Does it look a little inflamed to you?" Lexie asks concerned.

"It does," Ryan comments as he looks at it.  "It looks inflamed.

"What?  Can I see the book?" Sadie asks.

"It's normally only supposed to be seven to eight millimeters in diameter."

"Yeah, that looks a little big," Sadie agrees, a little nervous.

"If it's inflamed, this isn't routine procedure.  We should call a resident," Graciella says to the group, nervous as well.

"We're not calling a resident," Sadie tells her, not wanting to back down.

"I'm sorry.  I'm just - I'm really freaking out."

"Listen,  I'm the one laying open over here and the last thing I need you to do is start panicking.  If you can't handle it - leave!"

That's exactly what Graciella does.

"Anybody else?" Lexie asks and no one else leaves.

*

"Your dad around?" Mark asks Arthur's daughter, Ivy.  "I need to check his stitches."

"He's still having tests," she explains to him.

"I'll come back," he tells her and begins to leave but she stops him.

"Hey!  How's that doctor my dad hit?"

"She'll be okay," Mark tells Ivy as he leans against the wall with his hands in his pockets.

"Tell her I'm really sorry."

"Why are you sorry?  You didn't hit her."

"Yeah.  It's just, if I had been able to get my dad back to bed, sometimes I can talk him back to sleep," Ivy tells him.

"But this hasn't happened for a while, right?" Mark asks her as he walks to stand close to her.  "Him sleep walking."

"Yeah," she says tired.  "Right."

She changes the channel on the television when Mark asks her, "when was the last time you slept?"

"It's okay.  I'm not that tired."

"Seriously, kid.  You should get some rest," he tells her and then leaves.

Mark had never really cared about little kids before.  It wasn't a horrible thought to have as it was just always him on his own.  Since he met Alison though, his thoughts had changed and he felt in a way, more protective.

*

"Seems like you guys had a real fun time in Hawaii," Derek commented to his person as he was looking at his patient's charts.

"We di- wait.  How did you know?" She asked as she squinted her eyes at him.

"Mark sent me pictures," he grinned at her and then walked away.

She walked as fast as she could being thirty-one weeks pregnant and all as she tried to catch up to him.

"What do you mean he sent you pictures?"

"You don't know?" Derek had a gloating smile on his face as he pulled out his phone and showed her.

He watched as her jaw dropped.

On his phone was a picture that Mark had taken that she thought was for him only.  Obviously it didn't scream sex but she was in her lingerie and her bump was free of any clothing.  She was giving her fiance those bedroom eyes that only he saw.  Derek wanted to laugh.  Every inch of him was almost gleeful at the thought of Mark getting into trouble but he held it in when Alison slammed his phone into his chest rather harshly.

"Delete it," she tells him.  "Now."

"Wha-" He starts to question her since he's confused.

"Now, Derek," she bit back.

Part of her anger was because of her hormones.  Part of it was because she was just pissed.

"Fine," Derek agreed and showed her once it was done.

*

"None of my interns are answering their pages," Meredith told Cristina, confused as to what was going on with the interns.

"Hey you," Cristina called out to Graciella when she noticed her walking in hand with a bunch of chocolate bars and eating one of them.  "Where are the other morons?"

"I don't know," she replies kinda fast as she didn't want to be in trouble.  "I was just getting candy.  Um, I don't know."

"Clearly," Cristina says to her.

"I don't know," Graciella repeats.  "I don't know anything," she tells the residents and begins to walk off when Cristina calls her back.

"Hey!  Give me your chocolate," she tells the intern and takes it as they go over to the nurse's counter and relax for a bit before Alex comes over.

"Where are the stooges?" He asks them and takes a chocolate bar.

"Well we saw moron and moron but the other moron's are AWOL," Cristina explains and takes a bite of chocolate.

"I need an intern to page when my guy needs to crap," Alex tells them opening a chocolate bar up for himself.

"I wonder if they are in the skills lab," Meredith tells the two.  "Sadie said something about skills lab."

"Sadie's in the hospital?" Cristina asks confused since this was the first time she was hearing that.

"All of that time in the skills lab is actually paying off," Alex comments.  "Interns are still idiots but at least they're idiots that can put in an IV."

"No, they're just idiots," Cristina tells him and walks off.

Alex walked off minutes later and Meredith looks at her pager when it goes off.  Lexie walks up behind her, scared and nervous.

"Meredith?" She speaks up and the blonde turns around.  "Do you have a sec?"

*

"I think she's dying," Ryan tells Meredith and Cristina when they come into the room as he tries to suction Sadie's blood.

Both of the residents gown up and get their gloves on as they looked at the machines.

"BP is dangerously low," Cristina commented to the group.

"Should we call a code?" Lexie asks them.

"There is no code team for patient surgery in the middle of the night because normally this procedure would be done by a surgeon in a regular OR," Cristina snapped.

Lexie felt like a small child getting scolded.  She wondered what Alison and Mark would think of her when they found out about this surgery failure.  Would they hate her?  They should.

"Page the chief and go get Bailey.  Tell her it's an emergency.  You're not to say anything else," Meredith tells the interns.  "Take that crazy look off your face," she orders Ryan.

*

"Mark Everett Sloan," Alison spoke his name out loud from the door when she had asked nurse Olivia where he was and he was checking in on Callie.

He froze.

He knew that tone in her voice.  He didn't see her yet but she had her hands on her hips and her face was turned into a frown.

"Your in trouble," Callie said quietly and amused as she watched her people.

"Shut up," he murmured and turned to his fiance.  "What's wrong?" He asked Alison when he noticed her for the first time.

"You sent Derek a picture of me in my lingerie on our babymoon," she got straight to the point.

Callie made a face as she tried not to laugh.  This was typical Mark behavior.  Of course he would.  Obviously he couldn't talk himself out of this one since he was caught red handed.

"Shit," he muttered quietly and he turned around to face his fiance.  "I swear I didn't mean any harm by it.  I was just showing off how sexy my fiance is."

"That's very sweet but don't," she jabbed her finger into his chest.  "Ever do that again.  No more sending pictures of me half naked to Derek or anyone else.  Got it?"

"Yes ma'am," he said and his eyes widened as that slipped out.  What was this woman doing to him?!

"Good.  Love you," she stood on her tip toes to give him a kiss and left leaving a pouting Mark and a laughing Callie.

*

"I'm not talking to you," Mark pouts and swivels back around in his chair, not wanting to face the traitor.

"And why not?" Derek smirked.  Gloating in fact as he went to lean against the table and crossed his arms.

"You got me in trouble with Alison."

"So what are you gonna do?  Cry about it like a little baby?" He teases.

"Admit it.  You wanted me to be in trouble."

"Okay, I'll admit it.  It was fun watching you squirm."

"I knew it.  Traitor."

"Traitor?" Derek lets out a loud laugh.  "Says the one who sent a picture of his fiance in lingerie to me..."

"It was to emphasize the bump," he says dramatically as he does hand motions with his hands to emphasize the bump.

"Sure," Derek said not believing him.  "Admit it.  You were showing her off."

"Alright fine," he let out a sigh.  "I was showing her off.  She's hot!  And she's carrying my son."

"Your in so much trouble," Derek let out a low whistle and Mark crumbled up a piece of paper and threw it at him.

"Screw you."

"Real mature," Derek laughs.

"How is mister Soltanoff?" Mark asked him.  "I think his night terrors are happening more than he knows.  That kid's exhausted.  It's gotta be scary going to bed at night and not knowing what you're going to wake up to."

"Sounds like when living with Meredith," Derek comments as he writes in his charts.  "She takes in strays.  You'll be a great dad, Mark."

"Thanks," he gave him a small smile before he left.  It meant more to him than Derek would ever know.

*

"I'd like to do an EEG on you," Derek tells their patient as Mark and Owen are also with him.  "There's a chance that your night terrors are caused by a kind of epilepsy of the frontal lobe of your brain."

"I went through all that as long as I take my meds," Arthur tells the surgeons.

"We have reason to believe that the problem may be a lot worse than you're aware of," Mark tells him now.

"I don't understand," Arthur says confused.

"Ivy how often does your dad sleep walk?" Mark asked Arthur's daughter.

"I sleep I just forgot to take my meds this time," Arthur explains.

"No you didn't," Ivy finally confesses to her dad.  "You took them while I was brushing my teeth like you always do.  Then you put me to bed like you always do.  And you woke up screaming like you always do."

"Ivy," Arthur tries to comfort his daughter.

"I try to stay awake at night because usually I can try to talk you back to bed but tonight I was falling asleep," she told him as she was sniffling.

"Honey why didn't you tell me?" Arthur asks her as he comforts her.

"You said these bad dreams were caused by stress and I'm your stress," she cries and Mark looks at them in concern.  "You take such good care of me during the day.  I thought the least I could do was take of you at night, dad."

"But we're saying the night terrors were caused by the epilepsy not the stress," Mark tells Ivy as he bends down to her level.  "And if the test confirms they are the epilepsy, you understand what that would mean?"

"So it wasn't my fault?" Ivy asks with some relief.

"It wasn't your fault," Mark tells her and she holds onto her dad's forearm.

"Let's get the EEG," Arthur tells the surgeons and they agree, relieved.

*

"Okay, what the hell is going on?" Miranda asks as she comes into the room, ready for surgery.

"We were trying to take out her appendix," Lexie explains to the surgeon.

"Whose bright idea was that?" Miranda asked.

"Mine," Lexie tells her.

"Where are we?" Miranda asks after she was gowned up.

"We just found the artery and the appendix.  Apparently one of the stitches the interns did came off," Meredith tells her boss.

"Damn I need some more suction," Cristina tells anyone whose listening.  "She's really bleeding. I can't see anything.

*

Alison was getting ready to leave and Mark wanted to walk her out since he was done helping his patient.  They held hands  were getting ready to walk out when Alison turned her head and saw the interns sitting on the ground as they looked shocked.  Maybe forlorn.  Maybe even upset.  Or all the above.

"I don't know what happened there," Alison told her fiance.

"I can tell being there with them is not somewhere we want to be," Mark told his fiance and put his arm around her shoulder and kissed her before he helped her to her car.

"I love you," she told him as he helped her in.

"I love you too," he leaned down to press his lips to hers in two more kisses.  "See you soon."

*

"Babe!" Alison calls her fiance over once he walks through their apartment door.  "Come look at this," she yells as she lets out a giggle.

He shrugs off his leather jacket and hangs it up by the door, his shoes next as he follows her voice into their living room.

"What's up?" He asks sitting on the couch and taking a carton of Chinese food and eating some.

"Check this out.  Baby boy is active this afternoon," she smiles as she presses down gently on her stomach in a few places and they can literally see him moving.

Mark's baby blue eyes light up with so much joy it makes her heart melt.

"Baby is definitely active this afternoon," he agrees and sets down the carton and puts his hands on her belly.

The baby must've recognized his voice since he gave his dad a big kick.

"I love you Ali," he told his fiance as his eyes danced with happiness.

"I love you, Mark," she tells him and kisses him.

"And we love you too baby," Mark tells his son as he kisses her stomach and she runs her fingers through his hair.

"Sorry about this morning," Alison lets out a sigh as she sets her chopsticks in the carton.  Her legs were resting in her fiance's lap and his hand rested on one while he ate his Chinese food.

"Sorry about what?" He asked confused as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Crying at work.  That was so bad of me.  Not to mention I was off my a-game the whole day."

"Hey, it's okay," he tells her.  "Come here," he takes her hand in his and pulls her gently along so that she's straddling his lap and her bump is the only thing in the way between them.  "Everyone is allowed to have their off day's.  Hell, it just so happened that you and Callie both had bad days," he said and she quietly giggled as she remembered how the day planned out to be a complete disaster.  "I know that this birth might not go how you want it to but all I care about is what is best for you and baby, alright?  If you don't get epidural then you can squeeze the hell out of my hand.  Deal?"

"Promise?" She asks him as her hazel eyes lit up and she holds out her pinky finger and he hooks his with hers and he smirks at her.

"Promise."

"Ow," Alison winces slightly and he moves underneath her as he's freaked out.

"You okay?"

"You have one strong pinky.  What do you do?  Work out your fingers at the gym?  Damn..."

Mark let out a loud laugh as his head tipped backwards.

"I'd tell you, but I can show you better," he said suggestively and gave her his bedroom eyes look as she let out a laugh since she had already been laughing.

He picks her up bridal style and she lets out a shriek as he walks them into their room and closes the door behind them.

^ I made this a while ago and forgot to post it so I hope you like it!  I am so sorry for taking two months to update this book!  I had no intention of doing that but it was really hard to type in an immobilizer after my shoulder surgery.  But now I'm free of it and doing really well in therapy.

I hope to not have to wait another couple months of updating.

What was your favorite part of this chapter?

Least?

Also who agrees with me that Meredith, Cristina and Alex were all bad residents to the interns?

I purposefully left Izzie/Denny scenario out of this chapter because that part of this episode was so awkward to me.  Like no.  I loved Denny but not this.
