FORWARD

Watching each and every move she made, he shamelessly scanned her body up and down, and bit his lower lip.

It infuriated him, looking at the scene which was unfolding itself before him. He hated the way the other guy in front of 'his girl' looked at her. It made him want to rip his eyeballs out of his sockets.

Jaeyoung- that was his name.

His lips curved into a vicious smirk, that could definitely be called sinister.

He hated the way how 'his girl' laughed and giggled happily with Jaeyoung.
It was something he wanted to give to her himself.

He looked at them with pure hatred in his dark orbs. Anyone blocking his way would definately have to pay for it.

HyaeJin rubbed her palms against each other to find some warmth against the freezing winds that blew, and the tiny flakes of snow making it difficult for anyone to stay outside their cozy houses.

It was 9.49 p.m. and it had been forecasted that there would be a snow storm in the evening. But being a student comes with compromises. For the upcoming exams, she had to stay back at the university library for studies.

The roads were almost empty as people had preferred to rather stay inside their houses than to go about.

The tip of her nose and her cheeks had turned red due to the cold. White puffs air where released when she would breath out, making her giggle.

She kept walking and soon the coffee shop, which was a block away from her house, came into her view. Unfortunately, it had also been closed, maybe due to the storm.

She kept walking in complete silence, until she heard footsteps behind her, following her. She concentrated on those sounds, thinking that maybe the person wasn't following her.

She turned round the corner and into the street which was like 25 metres away from her abode. But the steps kept on following her. Her anxiety rose as she felt the person coming closer and closer.

She wanted to turn around and at least have a glance at their face, but she was too scared to even stop.

It was like the person was around 7 to 8 metres away from her. She kept walking until the sounds stopped coming completely.

Abruptly, she was pulled into an alley nearby, a hand on her mouth, keeping her from screaming. She was pinned against the wall with the weight of another body.

She tried to fight back, shout, run away, but couldn't. His hold was to strong for a frail girl like her. But she didn't give up and kept on struggling until a familiar voice spoke,
"Shh, it's okay, it's me. I've got you."

She stop struggling and opened her teary eyes.

It was Jungkook.
Her partner in the Literature class. The quite and handsome one.

Jungkook removed his hand from her mouth after being assured that she wouldn't scream any more.

"Ju-Jungkook?"

Jungkook softly smiled at her, but it was too dark for her to see.
"Yes, it's me, it's ok."

The sound of steps suddenly returned, this time a little uneven.

HyaeJin stepped closer to Jungkook in fear.
"Jungkook, s-someone is following me." She whispered weakly.

He ran his fingers through her hair and said,
"Its okay, I'm here now. Don't you worry."

He gently took her hand in his and slowly put his other hand in her shoulder. She stayed close to him as they stepped out of their hiding place.

They both looked at the direction the sound came from.

Yoonsik.
It was Yoonsik.
The weird boy who always was alone and gave out the vibes of a pure rebel.
He seemed to be in a slightly drunken state. Jungkook glared at him and dragged her the opposite direction gently.

He carefully took her home. HyaeJin searched through her handbag for the keys, but her hands were still shaking with fear.

Jungkook noticed it, and held her hand. Confused, she looked up at him.

He slowly let go of her hand and cupped her cheeks.
"You know I am here right? Don't be scared please. I promise I'll protect you from him. You don't have to be scared."

HyaeJin slightly nodded and Jungkook pulled her in his embrace. Warmth rushed throughout her body and she slightly calmed down.

Soon he let go of her and she opened the door for the both of them to enter.

After having a good and satisfying mug of hot chocolate, and drawing a conclusion that Jungkook would stay the night at her place, they were now seated on the couch, under a comfy, warm blanket, and in front of the television screen, watching some K-drama of HyaeJin's choice.

Jungkook had his arm rested around HyaeJin's shoulder, and she felt comfortable and protected.

"Whoever they are, HyaeJin-ah, you don't worry, I won't leave you alone with them. I'll protect you."

Jungkook's toned was laced with sincerity and the emotion was conveyed through his eyes as well.

HyaeJin smiled at him and nodded.
"Thanks Jungkook. Thanks for staying with me today."

Jungkook slightly shook his head and smiled.

They were looking into each other's eyes. It was like they had found a totally different world in each other's orbs.

Not breaking the eye contact, he cupped her cheek, and stroked it gently with his thumb.

It was funny, as they had never looked at each other like this before.

Both of them no longer felt the cold around them, the storm going on outside the house, or even the K-drama, all of it was long forgotten. What remained was only the both of them.

Before any of them could process it, his lips were already touching her's gently, like a feather, his other hand coming and joining her other cheek.
Their noses touched and their breathings mingled.

Already drowned in the moment, he placed his lips on her's. Her heart thumped loudly inside her chest as his mouth moved with her's in symphony. They fit with each other perfectly, as if they were meant to be.

He pulled away, when it clicked to him that it was wrong. They weren't even together. He tried looking into her eyes for any signs of regret, but only found her eyes closed, her breathing still irregular from the kiss.

His thumb caressed her cheeks, and she slowly opened her eyes.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.

HyaeJin smiled shyly and shook her head.
Jungkook grinned.

"Should we go out somewhere tomorrow?" He suggested.

"Uh, like a...date?"

"Yeah, like that. I mean if you want to." He quickly added.

HyaeJin giggled.
"I'd love to."

Jungkook kissed her forehead and then pecked her lips.

"Ok, let's get you some sleep, you little baby."

HyaeJin opened her eyes when morning sunlight fell on her face through the windows.

She sat up slowly, and heard soft snores from the corner of the room.
It was Jungkook. He was wrapped in a blanket like a little baby, and slept on the couch with a pout adorning his lips.

HyaeJin smiled at the scene. Jungkook really was something.

Just then her phone went off, signalling a notification. She picked up her phone from the bedside table and checked it.
Her heartbeat nearly stopped after reading it.
