×6th day×

[edited]

Taehyung woke up at 6 in the morning.

Getting ready in half an hour, he went downstairs to have breakfast.
He took out some cereal from the cereal box in a bowl and poured some milk in.

He finished it quickly and went upstairs again.

He started packing his things, putting his clothes in his backpack.

He then took a piece of paper and started writing on it, laying back on his bed, on his stomach.

His aunt woke up, and lazily sauntered to the stairs to start the day.
But she was surprised to see Tae's room's door open.

It was usual for Taehyung to not wake up till 9, when the sun was high up.

She took a peek from behind the door and found him on the bed, writing some kind of a letter.

Entering the room, she leaned onto the wall, folding her arms against her chest.
"Hey, what are you doing?" She asked gently.

Tae looked up at her, shrugging, and smiled, yet it was nothing near to one which showed happiness.

"Oh, Tae, you don't wake up so early, tell me what's up. You...are not going to...leave, right now, are you?" her voice was hesitant and a bit disappointed.

Tae sighed, nodding, and then spoke,
"I have to leave, imo, PD-nim is worried very much, and it will be bad for the reputation of the band, and the company."

His aunt nodded, understanding the situation, but her expression told Tae that she was sad on knowing that he will leave today.

"Okay, dear, but come down for breakfast atleast. You don't wanna go on an empty stomach, do you?" she said, with a sweet smile, which Tae gladly returned. Yes he already had breakfast, but he did not want to disappoint her any further.

"Okay."

And his aunt left the room.

Tae sighed, as there was still existed a very task for him to complete.

He had to confess to Eunbin, and, at the same time, as much as he hated this, he had to leave her, maybe forever.

Tae also felt nervous, regarding Eunbin's answer, considering her personality. He hated the fact that he had to leave her, but he wanted her to know what he truly felt for her.

He sighed again.

"What would I do if she rejects my feelings?" he asked himself.

"Who would ?"

Tae turned around surprised, to face the source of the voice.

He came face to face with his aunt, who was smirking.

"H-huh ?" He decided to act dumb.

"Oh, don't 'huh' me. I heard it all, honey." She said, winking.

Tae stayed silent, looking down at his fidgeting hands, trying to hide his blushing red face.

"What, are you perhaps, blushing?" she teased.

"A-ani."

"Haha, okay, come down for breakfast. And listen—"

Tae lifted his head to look at his aunt.

"...She is a good girl, Tae." She said with a knowing grin, and left a blushing Taehyung behind, who scratched the back of his head shyly.

After a while, Tae came down to have breakfast.

He took a seat at the table and starting cutting through the omelet with his fork and knife, his aunt had prepared for him.

His aunt grabbed his attention by clearing her throat and said,
"So Tae, when are you planning to do it?"

"What?"

"Tell Eunbin-ah of course." She said.

Tae sighed, and said,
"After breakfast."

She simply smiled sadly, understanding what he was feeling at the moment.
"Good luck."

Tae walked towards Eunbin's house, a mask of nervousness plastered across his face.

He knocked on the door of her house, and after a while it was opened by Eunbin, grinning from ear to ear.

"Hi Tae-tae! How are you today?" she asked.

Tae gulped and said,
"Eunbin, I need to tell you something."

Eunbin was surprised, it being the first time to watch Taehyung all serious.

"Okay, come on in." She offered, stepping aside to let him in.

"No, actually, I don't have time, so please listen to me, here." Tae demanded.

"U-uh, alright." Eunbin said, afraid of where she thought this is going.

Tae breathed out, and started,
"Eunbin, its been around six days since we've known each other, and I cannot help but not think of you. I cannot even keep you out of my mind. I don't know, maybe it's your smile, maybe it's your voice, maybe it's your personality, o-or maybe it's just you, but, I want you to know this, that I—I like you very much, and by very much, I mean very much, I mean very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, v-"

He was interrupted by Eunbin placing her finger against his lips.

His eyes widened by the sudden action.

"Wait, you like me?" she asked, her voice tiny, unsure of what she was hearing.

"Yes. So much." He confessed sincerely.

Eunbin froze in her place, her eyes widening.

"I-I know you aren't interested in these kinda things, so I am not expecting an answer. And I understand if you just want kick me out of your hou-"

"I like you too." Eunbin interrupted, her cheeks blood red.

"You—you do?"

"Yeah, I like you...a lot." She confessed, fidgeting with her small fingers.

Tae stared at her, how she was so shy, how even her ears turned red.
So, he finally spoke,
"Why are you so embarrassed?"

Eunbin lifted her head, her eyes widened.
"I-I am not."

Tae chuckled and step forward.
He took her face in his palms, and caressed her soft, caramel cheeks.

"You're so cute." He said softly.

Gazing into each other's eyes, they savoured the moment, forgetting their surroundings as if the world had stopped.

Unconsciously, Tae started leaning in.

But then, something woke him up from his trance.

Eunbin, who had her eyes closed, slowly opened them.

She looked up at Tae, who stared down at her with an unreadable expression.

"What happened?" she whispered, getting self conscious again.

Tae broke the silence that had followed, after her question had left her lips, and then finally said it,
"I'm leaving today."

Eunbin was left shocked.

"You're—you're what?"

Tae backed himself a little away from her, and explained,
"I'm leaving today, for Seoul. PD-nim is very worried for me, it's all a mess there, just because of me, and it is not good for the band. But don't worry, I'll come back. For you." he assured her.

But, again he stepped closer and wiped a tear which had left Eunbin's eyes.

He leaned in, and placed a soft, innocent kiss on her lips, which lingered there for a while, conveying his affection for her, and sealing a promise of his return.

He smiled at her, kissed her forehead, and pulled her in for an embrace. He held her delicately, conveying to her the importance he she held in his life, words unsaid.

When he pulled away, Eunbin smiled at him, a smile not meeting her eyes.

"So unfortunate that when I finally found someone, he has to leave. But don't worry, I totally understand, and promise to be back." her voice sounded strained, as if she was fighting to hold her emotions from breaking free.

"I promise I'll be back."

He rested his forehead on hers, then pecking her lips again for the last time.

And he left, when a boy of around his age came to pick him up in a car.

But he left for her, a lolly-pop, which he had bought for her, at the amusement park, and a letter, which held his part of the lyrics of the song they'd sung together.
