Time went by so fast that you two didn't even realize. So busy with your own lives that you two couldn't see each other in person. However, when you had time, you two didn't miss a chance to meet.
You both had grown not only as a couple but also individually. Whenever there was a thing to celebrate–when Jungkook won something in college or when you topped in your finals, you both were there for each other; or when you scored less marks in your semester test or when Jungkook was stressed about something–you both were still there for each other.
However, keeping all the solemnity aside, you both were still the same old happy couple that never missed a chance to express their feelings for each other, no matter the situation or place.

The Chois' business had been thriving, and to commemorate the success, they decided to throw a lavish celebration at a renowned five-star restaurant.
As you stood in front of the mirror, you carefully adorned yourself with a pair of exquisite earrings. Your dress, elegant and sleeveless, fell just above your knees, striking the perfect balance between modesty and style. The lilac shade of the dress, apparently your favorite color, perfectly complemented your personal taste. Completing your ensemble, you slipped into a pair of white heels. With a swipe of lip balm and a spritz of lavender-scented perfume, you found yourself hurrying out to get in the car since you knew that you were late.
Locking the house with the keys you found on the dining table, you sat on the back seat of the car while your Mom sat on the front seat and your Dad drove.
Upon reaching the spot, your eyes widened at how ethereal everything felt. As the air conditioners were turned on, a cool breeze swept through the room. The melodic notes of jazz filled the air, creating a serene and laid-back ambiance. The yellow lights and the soft flickering of candles gave a cozy vibe, transforming the space into a haven of relaxation. The fragrance in the air was a delightful treat, and as you closed your eyes, it felt like you were in a palace.
As there was no one at the spot yet, you were getting bored and sat on a nearby chair and took your phone and messaged Jungkook.
mr. weirdo ¬_¬
When will you come?
I'll be there soon
Did you reach...?
Ofc dumbo
Dumbo? :")
[End]
You were told by your parents to stand at the entrance and greet the guests as they came. Gosh, how awkward that was. You didn't recognize even a single one of them since most of them were influential businessmen and businesswomen or your dad's business partners. But that was only till a very familiar middle-aged couple and their son entered. Your face lit up and so did his.
"Good evening, uncle and aunt!"
This was the first time there was a genuine smile on your face while greeting someone. However, while Jungkook's parents greeted back with a wider smile than yours, Jungkook didn't seem to hear anything around him. He was way too engrossed checking out his elegantly dressed, gorgeous girlfriend as she stood before him with a mesmerizing smile plastered on her lips.
"Wanna look around?" you said after his parents walked away as you tried not to laugh at his face. He didn't seem to hear anything you said, though. "Jungkook, you there?"
"Y-yeah. What... were you saying?" he finally replied. You wiggled your eyebrows as you teasingly asked him, "What were you thinking about?"
You very well knew what was going on in his mind. But just for teasing purposes, you decided to ask him.
"U-uh... the decorations! It's very beautiful," he awkwardly said. You smacked his head lightly. "You can say the truth, you know."
"I am saying the truth. The decoration is beautiful," he tried to say it in a persuasive tone. You shook your head.
The atmosphere was absolutely lively. People exchanged their business cards, talked with smiling faces, enjoyed their drinks and talked to your parents, obviously. Every ten to twenty seconds, a faint sound of the clinking of glasses could be heard. The crowd was huge, indeed. You wondered how your parents even managed to call so many people.
As you both made your way in the crowd to go in the garden and get some fresh air, you bumped into a young guy and because of your extraordinary balance in your heels, you fell and somehow your lips managed to fall on the guy's cheeks.
You immediately pulled away with widened eyes. "I'm so sorry, it was a mistake," you nervously said while Jungkook just stood there for the time being with his arms crossed over his chest.
"It's alright. I understand," the guy tried to smile kindly. Thankfully, no one really saw this scene except Jungkook. But even the fortunate fact became an unfortunate one when you realized that the only one who saw the thing happening was Jungkook. You knew you were done for, even if it was just a mistake.
"Let's go, Y/n," Jungkook grabbed your arm and dragged you out of the room to the garden.
There was no one there except for you both. That made you really nervous.
Jungkook suddenly cleared his throat to grab your attention. "Just so you know, I'm trying to control myself just because it was an accident."
You gulped–didn't say anything.
"But you know, I just really want to do this."
He locked his lips with yours.
| end of flashback.
Next up is when you two told your parents about your relationship two years ago from now–exactly three and a half years after the relationship started.
I wiped the sweat that had collected on my forehead in the past two minutes. I was pacing back and forth on my bed, shaken by the nervousness. No, this isn't a sweet tale from the night before I got arrested for murdering my Maths teacher. No. This is a rather frightening tale from five minutes before I finally told Mom and Dad about our relationship.
"Hey, why're you so scared? It's gonna be okay," he caressed his thumb on your hand as he held it, reassuringly. "You think that they still haven't fallen for my charm? It'll go totally fine, okay? Just trust me."
I smiled. A small thanks was all I could mutter to him.
| a/n pov.
You were currently standing right in front of your parents who were earlier discussing about something but discontinued after you asked for their time. You cleared your throat to which your dad raised his eyebrows. After a while of silence, you finally spoke up.
"Mom, Dad. Me and Jungkook are dating," you firmly said. Jungkook smiled proudly at how boldly you said it. However, he knew that you still felt nervous.
Your parents didn't show any reaction, to your surprise. Instead, your mom just asked, "For how long?"
"Three and a half years," Jungkook responded before you could.
"Listen..." your dad began, "I want you two to know that we really don't–"
Jungkook panicked. The word 'don't', on its own, was enough to alarm him. He didn't realize when he cut off your dad mid-sentence and spoke.
"I swear I'll keep your daughter safe! I'll protect her at all costs. I'll make sure to keep her happy. Please trust me!"
Your dad looked at the guy as he dramatically rubbed his temple. "Son, I wasn't going to say anything like that. Actually, I was about to say we don't really have any problem with the two of you–we're glad to know, in fact. But I think you should react after the one completes their sentence."
Jungkook scratched his nape with embarassment. "I'm sorry. I'll never do this agai..." he trailed off mid-sentence when he realized that her parents had approved of their relationship. "T-thank you so much for approving us."
When you heard the words that Jungkook uttered, you finally snapped back to reality. You found yourself screaming in your head out of glee. "Thank you, Mom and Dad!" you tried not to squeal at the end of the sentence.
"Aish, why are you thanking us?" your mom said. "Anyway, we were planning for you both to get married. We even had a talk with Jungkook's mom and dad regarding this matter and they didn't seem to have any objection either. You just made this easier for us. We thought that you wouldn't want to get married because we thought you were just friends but..." she cleared her throat. Jungkook grinned.
"Still. Thank you for trusting me so much, aunt."
Gosh. That was the first time you'd seen him using his skill with words on someone apart from you. Everything that he said in front of your parents was so innocently spoken–he could even trick the best detective with his words.
However, this situation was different. You knew he wasn't tricking or flattering your parents. He actually seemed and was genuine; that was enough for you to get reassured.
When you both finally stepped out of the room, Jungkook winked at you and proudly uttered "Told you. They'd fallen for my charms already."
| end of flashback.
That was when you and Jungkook confessed about your relationship to your parents. You couldn't help but be bamboozled when they mentioned their plan about getting you two married in the future. The feeling of excitement as you thought about the distant future back then was crazy. You wondered how you would feel on the wedding day. Thinking about it made you more excited.
However... there was one thing that you had to admit. If it weren't for Jungkook's charm and so-called innocence that he showcased in front of your parents, they wouldn't have thought about your marriage, ever. You wondered how they would react if they found out how he kisses you shamelessly anywhere, no matter the situation or place, or how he flirted with you all the damn time.
Now, enough of talking about the past. It was your graduation day from your university. Finally, after years of studying and studying, you had finally graduated. And about Jungkook, he had too, just a month ago from a different university, of course.
After attending a party with your friends, you were on your way back home. You took your house's key before unlocking the main door and entering.
Oh! And did I mention?
You were drunk as hell.
Thankfully, your parents weren't home as they had gone on vacation to relieve stress from work and they said they'll come after around two weeks. Laying down lazily on the couch, you took out your phone from your handbag, dialing a number before you hit the 'call' button.
After ringing for a while, spoke a familiar voice, "Hello?"
"Baby~! I graduated!"
"Congratulations! But how many times are you gonna tell me? I've been counting and you've said this nine times already. This is the tenth time!"
"Oh, did I?" you tittered. "Should I tell you something, Jungkook?" you said as your cheeks turned even redder than they were before from drinking alcohol.
"What is it?"
"I love you," you blushed intensely.
Jungkook chuckled. "Y/n... tell me honestly, are you drunk right now?" his voice suddenly sounded stern.
"I'm not drunk! I just drank a teeny bit. A very teeny bit," you laughed to yourself.
"Uff... I'll be there in a while."
You whined when he hung up the call. You switched on the lights and again laid down on the couch. It had been almost ten minutes. Being all grumpy because of how 'rudely' Jungkook hung up, you took the TV's remote and kept it on your ear, as if talking to someone with it.
"I hate you! Why did you hang up before I could even say more?!" you waited for a response but upon hearing nothing, you shouted,
"You motherfucking bitch!!" pressing the so-called 'hang up' button, you kept the remote and crossed your arms, but got startled hearing the bell ring.
"Who on the earth is that?!" you screamed, standing near the door, but immediately calmed down hearing the voice.
"It's me, Y/n."
You opened the door and immediately hugged him–hugged him so tightly that it looked like a koala was resting on a tree after a long, tiring day of sitting on it.
Jungkook's plan of lecturing you literally vanished from his brain when you touched him. His voice softened and he didn't look grumpy anymore.
"Hmm.... but you shouldn't drink much, right?" he said as he broke the hug. You looked at him closely—he was wearing a loose t-shirt with a jacket and black skinny jeans which literally screamed 'hot'.
"Okay, I won't," you pouted.
"Good girl," he chuckled. When will your parents come?"
"After a week or so. Can I get a kiss, please?"
He raised his eyebrows at the sudden topic change, but he just shrugged and closed the door first. Upon hearing no response, though, you repeated your words.
"Can I get a kiss, please?"
"You're drunk, baby," he shook his head. "Anyway, do you want me to stay over tonight?"
"Yes, please!" you squealed.
"Okay! I will," he smiled. "What are your plans now, by the way?"
"To marry you~" you cheesily said.
"Do you not want to become a CEO, hm? Or... a chairwoman, even?" he asked, playing along with you.
"I don't want to. I'll just marry you!" he laughed.
"Okay, okay. Now, let's go to sleep. It's very late."
"Okay, I will, but only if you're going to sleep with me," you said with a pout.
"Why? Want me to do something?" he jokingly said. You shook your head vigorously.
"No way!"
"I know, love. I'll never do anything to you without your consent," he rubbed your nose against his, smiling. "Now, let's go to bed, shall we?"
"You look like such a pretty boy," you suddenly whispered out of nowhere.
"What?" Jungkook asked.
"A pretty boy."
