Miyeon soon left her father's office and building after that, reuniting with Suho in the corridor and waiting until they were in the car back to his house to let him know that her father was going to be helping her.
She would be needing to stay with him for another week or so whilst they drafted up a contact - an idea that Miyeon had had during the end of the meeting. She was still rather suspicious of her father even after his apology, and had suggested that there should be something holding their deal in place.
Sangwon had actually suggested the contact, and briefly before she had left, they had gone over what their deal would basically be. Sangwon would be helping Miyeon with any finances she needed taking care of, both with her apartment and any other necessities ( he called it that, but Miyeon was sure he was just using it as a way to spoil her even then ) and in return, Miyeon would visit him every so often. There was only mention of Kwon Yujin, and that was the mutual agreement to keep her as far away as possible.
Her father would be getting the contract drafted up, and his secretary would arrange another meeting later in the week for Miyeon to read every word of it and sign it. But until then, she had to be a normal person and not worry about having to sign a legal document regarding her relationship with her own father.
And that included going to school. So, like every usual day, Miyeon dressed in her uniform, arranging a knitted black sweater over her blouse and then pulling her blazer over that. It was getting a little more cold these days, and she switched back to her longer socks, and her thicket coat.
Her and Suho walked together as usual, not even bothering to seperate as they approached the school. People had seen them talking, they knew they were once friends and most likely friends again - they had been so close before it was almost inevitable.
Greeting Sooa, Miyeon sitting down at Jugyeong's empty desk. She wasn't there yet, but there was already quite the crowd gathered around it. "What's happened?" She asked the Choi girl, who was rather energetic that morning.
"Hyunkyu saw Jugyeong at the mall with her boyfriend!" Sooa exclaimed. "Can you believe this! I wondering who it is?"
"Ju has a boyfriend?" Miyeon decided it was best to feign innocence, Sooa jumping ahead with ideas and other long, bubbly sentences. Miyeon turned around in her seat, scanning the back of the classroom. Suho looked back at her, and the girl's face creased into a smile, winking quickly at him before facing towards Sooa again, the girl still talking her ear off.
Eventually, Jugyeong arrived, and was greeted by shouts of 'she's here' and Sooa pulling her over, Miyeon slipping out of the seat to let the girl sit there.
"Hey, Jjoo." Sooa began, hand on Jugyeong's arm. "You got a boyfriend? Why didn't you tell me?" Jugyeong's eyes widened, slipping over to Miyeon just for a moment, the Hwang girl barely moving her head from side to side, dispelling the idea that had been produced in Jugyeong's panic.
"Where does he go?" Sooa was bombarded her with questions as she led the Im girl to her seat. "He doesn't go here, does he? Tell me."
"Who said that?" Jugyeong asked, Sooa turning and pointing to Hyunkyu.
"I saw them at K Mall." He began to defend himself, arm wrapped around the shoulders of one of his friends. He moved it off, turning towards Jugyeong. "She was hiding him so we wouldn't see him."
Jugyeong moved over to him, not even taking her bag off before confronting him. "Hey! I told you that wasn't it!" She said.
"Why be embarassed about dating someone?" Hyunkyu asked, digging his hands into his pocket. "Miyeon and Seojun weren't hiding it when we saw them get a meal together on Saturday."
"Oh come on." Miyeon sighed as she turned to Hyunkyu. "It's common for friends to get meals together. Can't I have friends?" She folded her arms across her stomach, frowning. "Whatever, doesn't matter what I say."
"You're overreacting a bit." Hyunkyu sounded defensive, glancing between the two girls, gaze landing on Jugyeong and directing his next words at her. "One might think you're dating a celebrity."
Giggles, laughter and words of consideration followed the statement, cheering coming from the group of boys and Jugyeong turned back and slipped into her seat, Miyeon crouching slightly and wrapping an arm around her best friend's shoulders.
"Tell me who is it." Sooa insisted, turning around in her seat. "Are you dating a celebrity?" Jugyeong instantly denied it, shaking her head. "Then what's he on about?" She asked, the three girls continuing to talk about it, trying to ignore the noise from the boys behind them.
"Hey!" The sudden shout had the entire classroom falling silent, looking back to where the noise had come from. Seojun was glaring at the boys around him, fist clenched on the desk. "Go back to your seats." He said, voice cold.
The boys rushed away, and Miyeon sighed, standing up and letting her arm fall away from Jugyeong's shoulder. "I'm going to go and get my stuff ready." She excused herself, moving over to her table and sitting down in the seat, wiping the desk with her sleeve.
"You don't need to look so concerned." Seojun said to her, voice barely above a mumble. "I'm perfectly fine."
"Well you should work on looking like that then." Miyeon replied, tilting her head with a knowing smile on her face. "It'll be fine."
"I know it will. Don't worry." Seojun insisted, eyes narrowing as he looked across at her. "Gosh, I shouldn't've told you, now you'll just worry."
"Good, now you know how it felt to be me when I came back." Miyeon replied, turning around in her seat with a small smirk on her lips, Seojun staring at her as she picked up her phone, scrolling through it.
He couldn't really deny it, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to try, waiting until homeroom was over and starting it up again in the short pause between that and their first lesson.
"That was different and you know it." Seojun insisted, trying to move around the desk to look Miyeon in the eye, the girl just ignoring him as she put down her phone, reaching in her bag to pull out a circular compact mirror.
"Hm, was it really?" Miyeon asked, opening the mirror and turning to the window, using the natural light to check over her appearance, dark eyes meeting Seojun's as he peered over her shoulder. "I would know, I was the main one involved." She slammed the mirror shut, praying it didn't crack and turned around to face him.
"I was the one doing all of the worrying!" Seojun flicked his hair out of his eyes, head moving to the right for just a moment before sitting forward. "And for good reason."
"Oh don't use-" Miyeon began, only to see Jugyeong jump up from her desk and rush past them both, the two of them pausing and peering into the corridor as she left, before resuming their conversation. "- Don't use that against me. It's mean."
"Anymore mean than you pitying me? Anyone knows how awful it is to be pitied." Seojun continued. "I was only worried about you because I knew you so well."
"And I'm worried about you for the exact same reason! If you didn't want to tell me then you shouldn't have." Miyeon's voice dropped and she leaned over. "You weren't required to tell me because I had seen it, you could've easily just told me to ignore everything that I had seen."
"This is stupid." Seojun sighed. "Let's just settle this. You would worry even if I hadn't told you. But please don't pity me, I do enough of that myself."
"Fine." Miyeon folded her arms, turning to the front as the teacher entered for their lesson. But it seemed she had second thoughts as Jugyeong rushed back into the classroom and into her seat the Hwang girl leaning across to whisper to Seojun; "But just to let you know, my dad agreed to help me out with the apartment."
"Good." Seojun replied, not able to say anything else as the lesson started.
