"Try and get some sleep." Seojun's words had been spoken in his usual gruff manner, but the content smile on his features said otherwise. Miyeon pretended not to notice his eyes flickering past her arm into the tent for just a moment as she said her goodnights before disappearing inside.
She changed for bed, not saying much to Sihyun and Sooa as she did so. And not too long after, Soojin and Jugyeong appeared, the five girls settling down to go to sleep. It was a long night of Miyeon curled up beside Jugyeong, pretending to be asleep as the Im girl texted away beside her.
Miyeon could only wonder who she was talking to, but it seemed to be important - every time she slipped out of a sleepy daze, there she wasm texting. Eventually, she grew tired of being woken up just as she was getting to sleep and managed to stir enough to get Jugyeong to put down the phone.
Considering it was nearing the early morning hours, Miyeon wasn't doing it only for her sake, but Jugyeong's as well. She had been getting little bits of sleep, whilst Jugyeong got none. So by Jugyeong coming off of her phone, it was good for both of them.
And without that added noise, Miyeon finally got to sleep. She would be woken in just a few hours, when the teachers came round to wake them up with shouts. They would be leaving that morning, and the teens could spend the rest of the day at home preparing for the week to begin again.
They would get dressed quickly, Miyeon choosing comfort over anything with a pair of sweatpants and jumper, before heading out for a quick breakfast. Then, they would all have an hour to do whatever they needed to do before lining up around the area the bus was parked.
"Good morning." Miyeon jumped as she heard a voice in her ear, and with a smile already on her face, she watched as Seojun jumped over the low branch she was sat on, sitting next to her.
"You're happy this morning." Miyeon commented, her vague expression blank of any of the unexpliciable joy she felt from being able to have just a normal conversation with the Han boy.
"Assumed I would be all lovesick and upset?" Seojun questioned, Miyeon shaking her head knowingly.
"I imagined you a little more.. subdued, perhaps." The Hwang girl replied. "All packed?" In response to her question, Seojun pointed down to his feet, a suitcase stood there. "And your friends?"
"All trying to fit those stupid tracksuits back into their cases. How they managed to get them in there I have no idea. Yours?" Seojun replied, a brief smile passing over Miyeon's face as she remembered the display of 'strength' in said tracksuits the night before.
"I'm.. not sure. Jugyeong and Soojin were definitely packing when I left them - I think Sooa was with Taehoon and Sihyun with Hyunkyu. I didn't have a lot to pack, when I was finished with things I just put them back neatly." The girl replied, head tilted as she remembered the state she left the girls in. "Maybe I should go back and help them tidy up."
"They've probably sorted it." Seojun shrugged, twisting slightly in his position and leaning against the tree trunk. "The hour is almost up."
"True.." Miyeon frowned, eyes drifting over the groups of students waiting to leave, but didn't see any of her friends there. "Or maybe they haven't-" She moved to get off the branch, but Seojun stuck his arm out, and she very almost toppled backwards. "Oh you dick." She hissed as she righted herself, glaring at Seojun. "I almost fell off."
"I'm very much aware." Seojun was trying not to laugh. "Don't make that face, you'll get wrinkles."
"Is that all you're bothered about, huh? First the night before last and again now - is that all you care about? Me getting wrinkles?" Miyeon got off the branch anyways, landing on the floor lightly, brushing herself off.
"It's either that or I tell you to stop worrying again. And that's seemingly all that I do these days." Seojun flicked his hair out of his eyes. "And if you don't care for my advice, I'm sure Chorong will."
"Don't be an ass, Han Seojun." Miyeon shouted after him, alerting various other students, who giggled as they watched the pair. Miyeon sighed, looking around and finally seeing her friends, pulling her suitcase over.
"Have you and Han Seojun made up?" Sooa immediately latched onto Miyeon's arm, eyes wide as she asked the question. "Was it me and my Taehoon? Did we prompt a reunion between best friends."
"No.. not exactly." Miyeon shrugged. "It just.. sort of happened I suppose. We ended up talking yesterday, explained a few things."
"And you're forgiving him just like that?" Soojin didn't look very impressed, but Miyeon knew it was only out of concern, and she acquired a smile on her face, pulling her arm out of Sooa's grasp and jumping over to the Kang girl.
"Are you worried about me, Kang Soo?" Behind her, Sooa beamed at yet another one of her nicknames being used. "Because really.. you don't have to. I know he's said some things that you wouldn't exactly say to your ex best friend, but it's all in the past, just a big misunderstanding."
"If you say so." Soojin narrowed her eyes. "Don't be too happy and forget what he's done though." Miyeon went to reply, but Jugyeong appeared next to the group, pulling her suitcase over the gravel.
And on her neck, a swan necklace glinted. A necklace that Miyeon very much recognised.
When her and Suho arrived home, they were going to have a rather interesting talk, she decided.
