Miyeon stepped outside of the karaoke building, a gust of fresh air hitting her face. It caused her to feel calmer and obviously less warm in seconds.
Quickly jumping down the stairs, Miyeon approached Seojun's bike, tucking her skirt underneath her and leaning on it, moving the two helmets so that they didn't fall off.
"Hey!" The familiar shout could be heard and Miyeon didn't even glance upwards. "What are you doing on my- Hwang Miyeon."
"Han Seojun." Miyeon smiled, looking up at him. "Lovely song you were singing just then."
"You were in there?" He asked, standing in front of her. "Now get off my bike." He continued, holding out his arm and dragging Miyeon's wrist, trying to pull her off.
"Nope." Miyeon smiled. "I don't know if you've been paying any attention to Jugyeong or your mom, but it's pretty obvious neither of them want you to ride your motorcycle."
"So this is some sort of protest? Somehow you think that you just sitting there will get it to work? It's not happening Miyeon, just get off." Seojun replied. "Don't you hate motorbikes? Did you do something to it?" He narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
"And what do you think I could do? I haven't got the slightest clue on how to break a motorcycle, and even if I did, I wouldn't do it because they're dangerous enough without them being broken." Miyeon crossed her arms, as she stood up, looking up at him. "I was simply resting my legs."
"On my bike?" He asked, glancing to the side and taking a deep breath, shaking his head. "Aren't your friends inside waiting for you, don't you-"
"Shut up and come with me for a moment." Miyeon glanced up towards the building, saw who was stood there and interrupted him, grabbing his arm and dragging him around the corner. "Suho came with us tonight and I will not have you two fighting in the streets."
"Because it definitely won't be you two, considering you've upped your status from enemies to friends." Seojun replied, before having a similar reaction to Miyeon when she saw Suho, staring over the Hwang girl's shoulder like a deer caught in the headlights.
"Hey, Han Seojun!" A voice shouted, and the pair looked around. Miyeon's eyes flickered up and down, examining the boys in front of her - she recognised them, just she wasn't sure from where.
Seojun stepped forward, pushing her behind him slightly. "Why are you coming out from there?" He asked, Miyeon still racking her brains to try and remember where she recognised them from.
"What do you mean?" The one who seemed to be 'leader' of the little group said, the girl glancing up at Seojun just for a moment, then back at him. Her eyes widened as she recognised them as the people who Seojun was running from the night she bumped into him after being at Jugyeong's and then she knew they were in trouble.
"Oh, what's this? Why did you bring a girl to this inconspicuous place?" The one in blue asked, stepping forward with the others behind him following.
"You should hurry up and go." Seojun said, pushing Miyeon even further behind him. The girl glanced between him and the group of boys, who were edging closer.
"Well, if you're not going to do it yourself." Miyeon sighed, before grabbing Seojun's hands and dragging him along, running away from the group.
She couldn't let him get into another fight, and so running seemed the best option - he had done it before, so it should be fine.
"Grab them! Grab them!" The boys shouted as Seojun realised just what Miyeon was doing and stopped stumbling around, running properly alongside her.
They passed Seojun's bike and went down another street, ignoring the stares of the people as they ran.
"Stop there!" The boys from the group continued, as Seojun glanced behind, swapping the grasp so he was pulling Miyeon along and speeding up, tugging her down a side street and then another corner, emerging out of that into a dimly lit one, the only light coming from glowing neon.
Thinking quickly, Seojun pushed over a pile of crates and pulled Miyeon the other way, up onto a small platform where they crouched behind another pile.
They heard them run the other way and Miyeon let out a sigh, breathing out as she looked down, momentarily forgetting who she was with as she balanced her head on Seojun's shoulder.
She felt a flick on her temple and she jumped up, Seojun laughing but when he saw her the smile fell, once again looking annoyed.
They remained crouched down, Seojun holding onto the railings. They both tried to peer around, and deciding just to go for it, Miyeon stood up, stepping forward only once before Seojun pulled her back.
"Are you dumb?" He asked, getting up himself and looking relieved when he didn't see anyone. Miyeon followed him, peering down the street herself. "Didn't I tell you to go, why did you drag me?" He asked.
"You always get yourself into fights - why do you have to be so much trouble. First that motorbike and now this? No wonder your mom was trying to eliminate one of the problems." Miyeon said, continuing to peer down the street, wary of any of the boys returning.
"What do you think those jerks will thing? If you run like that, it looks fishy to anyone." Seojun said. "And then you went to check when they could still be there? Gosh, you're so stupid." He continued, beginning it walk back down the street they had run up.
"Han Seojun, you better thank me for saving you. Why do you always get in trouble." Miyeon sighed, moving quickly to catch up with him.
"This is like deja vu." Seojun sighed, flicking his hair out of his eyes. "I don't go looking for it. and I don't care about you saving me or whatever." He shook his head.
"Fine, whatever." Miyeon sighed, speeding up and going ahead of him. Only to return to the karaoke room empty and a note by her bag explaining that they had decided to go.
With a sigh, Miyeon decided back down to the ground floor, exiting the building just as Seojun was getting on his bike. "Do you not listen to a word I say?" She asked, approaching him again.
"Obviously not, how else would I be able to take you home if I leave my bike here." Seojun replied, picking up the helmet on the bike.
It didn't fully register what he had said, and Miyeon stared blankly at him. "What?" She finally asked, looking between him and the helmet. "There's no way, they're death traps! And the way you drive is just-"
"Well I can't just leave you here. Who knows where those jerks went?" He continued. "What if you're walking back and then they see you? Who knows what they'll do when you're alone."
Miyeon stared at him, before taking a breath and stepping forward. "Don't drive too fast, and I better not get any shit from you about this." She said, taking the helmet and getting on, latching onto his waist.
"You won't. Besides, it'll be just like the old days." And with that they set off, Seojun pretending not to noticing just how tightly Miyeon's arms were around his waist.
