In the days following Suho's panic attack, the revelation of his alternate identity being Leo and truth emerging to Seojun about what really had happened on the night of Seyeon's death, several things had happened.
Mr Lee had publically admitted that the debut title song of Black Soul was plagiarised, as well as announcing his resignation from Move Entertainment and his retirement. He also confessed the truth behind Seyeon's death.
And whilst Miyeon hadn't stayed overnight in the hospital, she had visited her two best friends every single day they were still in there. She wasn't shocked to find out that they had made up, having pushed Seojun slightly to do it ( not much, it was mostly his own influence ), but incredibly glad that it had happened, even if it was after all that time.
Suho and Seojun had been discharged from the hospital, and much to Suho's surprise, when he returned home he had Eunjoo waiting for him with a meal prepared and a promise to help him around the house when necessary, which included cleaning and meals.
He had tried to call Miyeon to call it off, but Eunjoo let him know that whilst the Hwang girl had prompted the idea by worrying allowed one night. It was all the woman's doing, and whilst Suho wasn't used to that sort of treatment, he accepted it.
When Suho and Seojun had had the chance to settle back into their homes, the three of them had organised a group trip to Seyeon's grave. Something that none of them could have imagined doing together, Miyeon genuinely believing for a while that Suho and Seojun's relationship was only going to worsen.
But here they all were, dressed all in black under their winter coats, Suho with a crutch under his arm, Miyeon placing the largest bouquet of flowers she could manage to find, before straightening up and reading the letter that Seyeon had left between the keys of Suho's piano.
It was addressed to all three of them, thanking them in such earnest words that it had reduced the two of them to tears, Suho being a little more stoic as he had taken it in when he found it.
Silent tears rolled down Seojun and Miyeon's faces, the girl moving to hug the Han boy as he cried, Suho patting him on the back. It seemed almost instinctive when he twisted towards her, forehead balancing on her shoulders and her arms circling around his torso, hand moving up and down soothingly.
"Here." Miyeon had tugged her bag around so she could open it as they sat down on the bench in front of the grave. The two boys watched as she pulled out several things, Seojun groaning upon the sight of the yellow carton. "Hey - don't start complaining, I brought you chocolate."
"So thoughtful." The groan had died in Seojun's throat as he accepted it, the three of them sitting back in their seats as they drank, reflecting on the little tradition that had returned to them just like the letters.
"Miyeon-" Suho suddenly began, and the girl at the end of the bench leaned forward to see him. "Seojun, you're better at things like this."
"Nope." Seojun took another sip of his milk, refusing to take over. "And don't look so worried, Miyeon. It's nothing bad, I promise." The two of them had decided to ignore what had happened at the hospital, and although Miyeon wasn't exactly sure if Suho knew or not, he was doing the exact same.
"Fine." The Lee boy grumbled, placing down his yellow carton of milk. "When Seojun, Seyeon and I first got our bracelets, we didn't get you one because Seyeon had picked out the heart one for you at the stand instead. But someone thought it would be better if we all had matching."
"It's obvious it's me." Seojun cleared his throat and sat up. "And promise you won't cry again." He began, waiting for Miyeon to nod. "You meant the world to Seyeon.. and you mean a lot to us as well."
Seojun promptly cringed, clearly hating having to be so open about his feelings in front of Suho - he never seemed to have the same problem with the Hwang girl. "Just give her the box." Seojun coughed, taking another sip.
"I managed to contact the woman who made the bracelets and got you one. It's a little smaller so it'll fit your wrist better." Suho pulled a small box out from his coat, handing it to Miyeon over Seojun's lap.
Pulling the grey lid open, Miyeon felt her eyes fill with tears as the very familiar bracelet stared back at her. Abandoning his milk, Seojun had hurried to wipe away any that felt, and had helped the girl with the clasp - much to the amusement of Suho beside him.
"Do you know what Seyeon said the day that we bought these?" Seojun held up his wrist, and looked pointedly at the second bracelet around Miyeon's wrist - the one Seyeon had chosen for her.
"He hoped our friendship would last forever." Suho filled in.
"I told him to stop being childish." Seojun chuckled, but the pain was evident in his eyes. "Back then, I took it for granted. So I thought we would always be together. Me, you, Seojun and Miyeon. But who knew he would die so quickly."
"I know." The Lee boy replied. "It really didn't last long."
"Not long at all." Miyeon sniffed, remnants of tears threatening to become far more prominent. She forced them back, not wanting Seojun to get all upset over it.
"I wasn't there for him when he was having a hard time." If the Han boy had noticed, he wasn't saying anything about it. "And I regret it so much. But he's no longer around, so I took it all out on you two... because it made me feel better. I was so caught up with how hurt I was, that I didn't know you were hurting inside as well. I'm sorry." He glanced at the two people beside him, letting out a shaky sigh and felt Miyeon gently pat his knee.
It wasn't long later until the three of them made their way back to the bus stop, settling there and waiting in a rather odd harmony. They were so used to there being a rather tense, hostile environment betwee the two boys that it seemed strange that there was peace.
A conversation soon entailed asking about how Suho's father was dealling with this, and Seojun and Miyeon found out that Suho didn't know. "I used to be so jealous of you two for having rich parents." The Han boy scoffed, shaking his head.
"Why were you jealous?" Suho asked. "You have a mom."
"Are you trying to compete with who has a sadder life?" In much more of his usual tone Seojun challenged the boy. "Your family's rich." Miyeon shook her head as the boys descended into useless bickering, distracted by the sound of an approaching vehicle.
"Gosh, who threw this cigarette bud." Seojun exclaimed as the van drived by, it coming to a halting stop and a man leaning out of the window.
"Are you talking to me?" He asked, the door sliding open and the man exiting, approaching the group.
And in his usual confrontational manner, Seojun stood up, hands in his pockets. "Did you just throw this cigarette bud at us? What kind of a gangster are you?"
"Look at this kid." The man retorted and Miyeon felt a rather sinking feeling appear in her stomach. "He just called us gangsters." And from behind the man, came a chorus of repeating questions and a group of men left the van. "Are you with them?" The man spat, looking at Miyeon.
"Hm? Me, no not at all. I'm here visiting my mom - I have no idea who these people are." Miyeon had assumed an expression of innocence, Seojun and Suho glaring at her as she shifted her sleeve to cover the matching bracelet. But deciding that it was better for her not to get involved, neither of them commented on it.
Seojun stepped forward and Suho pulled him back. But it wasn't long until the two boys were running away, Miyeon feeling awful for lying but she really wasn't trying to get into any trouble with grown men. After being kidnapped by the group of boys that Seojun had problems with, the Hwang girl was avoiding all situations that could get her into anything like that again.
The men chased after the two boys, stopped momentarily by Seojun throwing Suho's crutch at them and lifting the Lee boy up onto his back, continuing to run as the men recovered.
"God you stink!" The girl exclaimed as she approached the two boys, holding out Suho's crutch for him. She had retrieved it after the men had returned to their vans and disappeared, finding Seojun and Suho covered in manure.
And so their visit to Seyeon's grave ended up with the two boys smelling awful and needed to take a shower, the three of them hitching a ride of the back of a hay carrier to get back to the bus.
But none of them minded very much.
