Oh, the pain was so real. . .
"Don't cry,"
You had said with the most melodious voice I had ever heard, gently wiping my tears away, kneeling down to match my height, because I was sitting on the footpath.
That day was a rainy day, and it was pouring like it had never before. As if nature knew how I was feeling, and was mimicking my emotions.
I was sitting beside a bus-stop, so I wasn't getting drenched by the rain, simply because I was too lazy to wash myself once again after going back home; if it weren't for that, I would've had no problem sitting in the rain.
My teary eyes had looked up to see you helping and comforting me for no reason, when you could've been doing a thousand other things.
I never noticed when the heavy splashes of raindrops became nothing but soft drops of water, occasionally making soft pitter-patter sounds.
My vision was blurry, so I couldn't see your face properly, but I had known, even before seeing you clearly, that you were beautiful.
Very beautiful.
