first chapter impression | i thought it was very well written although some of the grammar needs work. for example spacing between dialogue. the ideas were very clear and introduced the book theme straight away. the main character was relatable however for a story such as yours i would prefer if it wasn't written in the readers p.o.v and you instead made your own oc. this does not mean you have to change it or listen to my advice but with such a great storyline i feel likes it a waste to write it in that perspective when you could develop a really interesting and unique oc.
