aurelia gripped onto neymars hand once they both stepped out the car. she took a few deep breaths as some people with cameras walked towards them.

neymar pulled her, making her stand in front of him and he put his hands on her hips as his front was pressed against her back, guiding her and shielding her so no paparazzi could get to her.

but it didn't stop them from spewing out a few unnecessary questions.

"neymar, when are you going to propose?"

"are you guys expecting a baby?"

"who are you meeting here tonight?"

neymar just politely smiled, but kept his mouth shut, not answering the questions.

a waiter was waiting for the both of them in the entrance and she opened the door once she saw them coming.

they both stepped inside, and they both left out a breath of relief as they managed to safely get away from the paps.

"hello, my name is isabel and i will be the one taking your order today." she smiled, shutting the restaurant door and turning the sign so that it said closed.

aurelia rose her brows. they were closing just so they could eat here?

"your table is over there, with lionel messi and his wife and kids." she pointed to a large round table, her hand shaking a little bit. aurelia could tell that she was nervous and excited to be serving neymar.

"thank you." aurelia smiled, and isabel nodded her head with a warm smile.

aurelia held onto neymars upper arm and they both made their way over to the table. thiago sprung up in his seat, eyes lit up at the sight of them walking over.

"papai, look!" thiago tapped his father on the shoulder and leo followed where his son was pointing.

thiago jumped out his seat and ran into the arms of aurelia, who happily let go of neymar to pick the small boy up.

"rae!" he greeted with a big smile, wrapping his arms around her neck.

"hola, thiago." aurelia laughed slightly, setting him completely on her hip.

"hey you guys." anto smiled, putting her lipgloss, that she was just applying. in her bag.

neymar and aurelia sat down at the table, saying hello. leo just hummed at aurelia as a greeting, giving her the side eye over his menu.

aurelia snorted, and thiago wanted to sit on her lap, so he did. mateo, leo's other kid just watched his brother from his seat, smiling shyly when aurelia looked at him.

he wasn't so confident around new people, so he just sat back and watched.

"what is everyone going to order?" leo asked.

neymar shrugged, and put his hand on aurelia's thigh and rested his elbow on the table.

they all took about ten minutes to decide on their order and they were now just waiting for the waiter to come back.

anto watched with a small smile on her face as neymar kissed aurelia's exposed shoulder gently. she turned her head to look at him and smiled, her cheeks rosy. he grinned down at her. aurelia looked down, rolling her lip into her mouth to stop her smiling.

"you know." anto spoke, resting her head on leo's shoulder. "i think it's crazy."

she got weird looks from all around the table. "what's crazy?" aurelia asked.

"you and neymar."

aurelia and neymar both looked at eachother, confused looks on their faces.

anto carried on. "like, you've known eachother literally all your life, you dated, you broke up, and now you are dating again. ive never seen a love like yours"

leo snapped his head towards his wife, an offended look on his face. "you've never seen a love like theirs? excuse me?"

anto just laughed, while leo crossed his arms.

aurelia and neymar were a little shocked at anto's words. "well I wasn't expecting you to say that." neymar laughed a bit.

aurelia smiled, resting her chin on thiagos head. she'd never thought of it like that. they'd found each other again, after years and here they were.

"when you have a baby, it better be called leo." leo stated, looking straight at aurelia.

"oh so you're talking to me now?" she said jokingly, raising her brows.

leo sighed, nodding his head. "as long as you don't post another thing like that of me again, then we are still best friends."

"i told you he'd forgive me soon enough." aurelia nudged neymars shoulder. "he loves me too much."

"yeah, yeah." leo said, shaking his head whilst smiling. "but seriously, if it's not called leo, we will have problems."

"our baby isn't going to be called leo." neymar rolls his eyes and leo shoots daggers at him.

"at least make me the godfather then."

"i'll think about it." neymar hummed, rubbing his thumb on aurelias thigh.

leo huffed, crossing his arms like a kid.

aurelia watched with a smile. she loved these people too much.

"you know, i'm kind of the reason we are dating again." aurelia spoke quietly, tracing the outline of neymars eyebrows as he fought to keep his eyes open.

they'd got back from dinner about twenty minutes ago and headed straight for bed. they made sure poker was fed and comfortable in his bed downstairs before they did that though.

the dinner had tired them both out, chatting about life and the future.

"yeah? whys that?" he fluttered his eyes open, moving his head closer to aurelia and he threw his arm over her waist.

the duvet was covering the lower half of their bodies, their legs tangled. "i messaged you on your birthday, and we started talking since then. so really, it was down to me."

"even if you didn't message me on my birthday, i would of eventually messaged you. i thought of you all the time." neymar said, placing his forhead on hers.

she shook her head, her nose brushing his. "well i beat you to it."

neymar hummed, his hand travelling around her body to rest on the lower of her back. "i wish i never let you go in the first place."

aurelia frowned ever so slightly, remembering some memories of herself sat in her bedroom as a teenager, cheeks stained with tears as she wondered how it all went so wrong. she shook her head. "i'm glad you did."

"what, why?" neymar asked confused.

"because we were young and stupid." she started to explain. "we didn't really know what love was, it was bound to go wrong. but look at us now, it's all worked out in the end."

"who knew you could have such a way with words." he said softly, using one of his hands to cup her jaw. he placed his lips on hers. she closed her eyes at the soft feeling of his lips.

it was a gentle and slow kiss, full of affection and love. neymar used the pad of his thumb to rub her jaw line.

they pulled away, lips just cementers away. neymar traced the features of face. " eu te amo, rae."
[i love you, rae]

she kissed his nose. "i love you so much more."

if two people are meant to be together, eventually they'll find their way back, she loved him in ways she's never even loved herself and he could never of loved someone the way he loved her.
