all 22 girls made their way to the seating area and took their designated seats, patiently waiting for the announcement. by then, the alarm had stopped going off and allowed the girls to converse between themselves while waiting for the announcement.

just then, a beep was heard and the large doors in front of them opened.

⊹ ࣪ ˖ LEE CHAEIN﹢꒰ YG ꒱ :
↪ there's no way.

the girls all looked at the large doors and started excitedly squealing and fangirling. the doors now opened fully, revealing jennie and rosé of blackpink.

jennie and rosé both excitedly waved back to all of the trainees as they walked down the steps, standing in front of them on the platform just after the steps.

⊹ ࣪ ˖ JENNIE﹢꒰ MENTOR ꒱ :
↪ it's so nice to finally meet you all! i've been watching the show since the first episode premiered and you guys are so talented.

↪ if i'm being honest, i haven't watched the show yet because i want to be surprised by everyone, but i am so excited to see everything in person.

the big screen above them switched to show the word "mentors" followed by short clips of jennie and rosé performing alongside the other members of blackpink.

the trainees all clapped once the clips were done showing, not sure how else to react in that moment.

↪ as the mentors for this episode, we were asked to prepare songs for this mission. me and rosie decided to choose some of our own songs for this mission.

↪ and as your mentors, we are here to help you all practice and improve the best that we can! we will work alongside you all twice before the official performance and maybe pop in occasionally during the other days of practice.

↪ in this mission, all trainees will choose a position in one of the three songs chosen by the mentors. the 3 royals will have primary pick, allowing them to receive whichever position they want in whichever performance.

↪ groups will need to come up with unique names and introductions. the more creative, the better. make sure it relates to the song you are performing and make your group stand out.

↪ i will now begin to call each trainee in alphabetical order via their surname. when your name is called, please make your way to the decision room to choose your a position in whichever song you would like to perform in!

↪ to begin, byun yura. please head to the decision room.

( i can't find or make any photos of what i'm talking about, so just picture the room in iland where they walk in and there is a little screen and a table where you make a decision and submit it )

byun yura walked into the decision room and closed the door behind her. she stood in front of the table and looked at the screen before choosing as if it's your last. she thought for a moment before selecting "part two : the main vocalist" as the position she wanted.

she walked out of the room and once she made it back to the seating area, choi ivy stood up and went to the decision room. she closed the door behind her and began making her decision.

⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚

a little while later, all of the girls had made their decisions and were now once again all seated in the seating area waiting for further instruction or announcement. the girls all quietly chatted about the parts they selected with each other, while jennie and rosé talked by the entrance of the room.

just then, the screen turned back on and everyone stopped their conversations and began to pay attention.

kim sejeong reappeared on the big screen with an ipad in her hands.

↪ for the most part, each part had only one person select it, so the decision was fairly simple. however for the parts that multiple people selected, we had them randomized. whichever trainees were left over were distributed into the left over positions.

↪ moving on, in as if it's your last.
part one, the center position, was given to noh hwajin.
part two, the main vocalist, was given to byun yura.
part three, ito fumiko.
part four, han wooyeon.
part five, the main dancer, was given to hirano harue.
part six, the main rapper, was given to zara shen.
and part seven, lee haemin!

the speakers suddenly went off, announcing the next move for the trainees.
