JUNWON shakes at the thought, making MUN chuckle.

the two teenagers enter the coffee shop, immediately seeing the married couple's daughter sweeping the floor.

" we're about to close. you can take it to go, though "

HUIYEONG tells them, her voice sounding hoarse and exhausted.

" that's alright, uhm, we'll get two cups of americanos "

JUNWON gives her a gentle smile.

" one second please "

after she leaves to make their coffees, MUN immediately tries to follow her, but is pulled back by JUNWON.

watching HUIYEONG make their americanos, the two teenagers ( just MUN really ) contemplate at the counter.

" stop staring at her, you'll make her feel uncomfortable "

" how am i going to do this? you said i can tell her without her noticing, you have to tell me how "

" just hold my hand "

MUN pauses at that, flustered.

" hold my hand. quick. "

JUNWON firmly orders him, making MUN finally hold her hand.

HUIYEONG comes to the counter with their coffees on a cup holder.

" here's your coffee- "

JUNWON places her hand on top of HUIYEONG's, the coffee shop owner looks at the short-haired girl in confusion.

the two women look at each other in silence for a brief second before the teenager starts to speak.

" i have to tell my daughter something "

" eomma? "

HUIYEONG asks, baffled.

the scene switches to the married couple in yung, the mother desperately holding onto MUN's hands.

" BAE JONGSUK-ssi "

" wait, just one second. "

JONGSUK begs her, returning her attention towards the young counter.

" things are confusing even for us, so think about how it'll be for our daughter. i want to reassure her. you said you're a grim reaper. that means you can be in dreams. "

MUN now turns into HUIYEONG, who gets emotional at the sight of her parents.

" i mean, she's shrewd and smart, so she'll have a great life. but she tends to keep things in her heart "

her mother says.

" HUIYEONG, the recipe to our broth is behind our family picture "

her father tells her.

" appa... "

tears threaten to fall from her eyes, feeling overwhelmed.

" on the day we died, she got us hiking clothes to make us go work out, so i'm sure she's oddly blaming herself "

HUIYEONG lets out a sad chuckle at her mother's accurate description.

" you have to make sure that she knows what happened wasn't her fault. if you don't, she'll be sorry for a thousand days like a fool "

" but i'm not asking you to take over our rice soup place. you know that, right? do whatever you want to do "

her father reassures her.

" tell her that we were grateful to have HUIYEONG as our daughter, that we love her so much "

" mom and dad were unbelievably happy. i hope you'll live as happily as we did. i love you, HUIYEONG-ah "

HUIYEONG cries, her longing for them finally disappeared, all her questions has been answered.

" eomma... appa... i love you so much too "

the family warmly embraced each other, HUIYEONG sobbing in her parents' arms.

now back to reality, JUNWON and MUN watch as HUIYEONG weeps at the counter.

" she came back "

MUN tells his classmate, who quietly nods.

" i'm glad she was able to see her parents one last time "

JUNWON says, feeling happy for the daughter but sad for herself.

" i would have loved to be able to say my final farewell to my parents before they died "

MUN adds, sharing the same emotions with her.

the two teenagers look at each other with a small but proud smile, before walking away to return to the noodle shop.
