JUNWON, MOTAK, and MUN were now running as fast as they could, even passing a bus with how fast they were.

" hey, i told you to take it easy and not run so fast! "

while turning a corner, MUN couldn't stop quickly enough, which led him to running on the wall.

when he landed safely, he himself couldn't believe he had just done that.

" wow! that was sick! did you see- "

MUN marvels, but it's cut short when MOTAK slaps the back of his head.

" you little punk "

he tells him in a scolding tone.

JUNWON laughs at the interaction, shaking her head at their silliness.

MUN, who heard her laugh, smiled, the pain of MOTAK's slap instantly disappearing at the sound.

" we're here too "

" i'm here too "

JUNWON could hear MRS. CHU saying something to HANA, but she couldn't decipher it clearly.

HANA describes the evil spirit's clothing, recalling the vision she had seen earlier.

" a plastic bag is 2O won, do you need one? "

" and he has a lage mole on the back of his neck. he bought soju and snacks at a store with a kid and went into an alley. he already seemed quite drunk "

HANA informs the other counters.

the trio arrives at an alley, similar to what HANA had just told them.

MOTAK signals to JUNWON to go right, patting MUN's shoulder to tell him to follow her.

the two highschoolers stay close to each other as they walk around, focusing on finding the evil spirit.

" what kind of snack did the kid get? "

MUN randomly asks.

" are you seriously curious about that now? "

MOTAK responds.

" it could lead us to a clue "

MUN mumbles, slightly whining at the response he got.

" there are many empty houses because of the redevelopment. look carefully, okay? "

MRS. CHU tells them with concern in her voice.

" yes MRS. CHU~ "

JUNWON replies brightly, reassuring the elder woman.

the silence returns as the two teenagers continue to search for their target.

" found him. across the street from the sauna "

HANA spoke, alerting the counters of the evil spirit's location.

" okay, roger that "

MRS. CHU replies before going quiet.

JUNWON and MUN look at each other before running to the location.

when the girl notices the footsteps behind her stopped, she looked back to see the boy.

MUN was looking at something in the dark building, before he went in to see what it was.

JUNWON freezes in her place, baffled whether to follow her classmate or go where the older counter had told them to go.

she shakes her head, running to where the high school boy had went.

" MUN-ah, what are you doing? we have to go help them- "

" noona. did the boy get kkobugi? "

MUN asks, his question making JUNWON look at where his eyes were.

there it was, a bag of kkobugi on the floor.

" what? "

" what is it? "

they both heard the counters say in their earpiece.

the duo go closer to the window and see a young boy, his eyes closed but seemingly not moving.

JUNWON sensed that something was wrong, very wrong.

" oh, the boy... "

" i told you he's an adult "

" DIE! "

a woman shouted as she was choking her abusive husband.

JUNWON and MUN's eyes widen at the sight.

" no- i mean this woman here- "

" we're looking for a man- "

the boy gets interrupted once again.

" this woman is killing someone! "

JUNWON speaks for him.

" JUNWON-ah. SO MUN-ah- "

" oh gosh- "

" the boy isn't moving either! "

MUN and JUNWON start to panic, tuning out what MOTAK was saying in their ears.

though MUN was more agitated than JUNWON, the girl didn't know what to do either.

" i should go in. the boy is...the boy! "

MUN starts pulling on the barrier in a hurry.

" MUN, hold on- "

JUNWON attempts to calm him down, but fails as the boy continues to slam himself into the metal rods.

this was giving her flashbacks to what happened with UNGMIN.

when her trials kept being unsuccessful, the girl ultimately decides to help him instead.

" pull harder! "

JUNWON shouts, grabbing onto the barrier with all her might.

with the help of the girl, MUN successfully pulls out the gate.

when they were about to go inside, a firm hand stops them.

MOTAK prevents the two high schoolers from going in, wanting to clear the danger first before they do.

the older counter grabs the woman away from the unconscious man, as the two teenagers tend to the unconscious kid.

" kiddo, are you alright? "

JUNWON asks, checking the boy's pulse and panicking when she couldn't feel it.

" hey, kiddo. wake up. hey! "

MUN tries to wake him up, shaking the boy's shoulders.

" MUN, do you know how to do cpr? "

the teenage girl questions him, forgetting that she herself knew how to do it due to her panic.

" oh. yes! yes, i do! "

MUN immediately starts the process, doing chest compressions on the boy.

JUNWON carefully looks over him, ready to take over if he gets tired.

the duo keeps switching, but the kid's breathing still hasn't returned.

" ahjussi, what do we do? he's not breathing! "

MUN tells MOTAK, trying his best not to cry at the situation.

" MUN! JUNWON! "

MRS. CHU's voice enters their ears, her and HANA soon appearing through the door.

" aish... "

" what happened? "

the newly arrived counters say, MRS. CHU questioned MOTAK while HANA went towards the two teenagers and the kid.

" this bastard. he's not dead. "

" MRS. CHU, have a look. "

at HANA's words, the older woman immediately runs to them.

MUN holds the boy's body in his arms as MRS. CHU checks over him.

" SEONGHYEON-ah... "

the boy's mother calls out to her son.

" put her to sleep. he's in critical condition. "

MRS. CHU commands MOTAK, who quickly takes action.

the elder woman puts her hands over SEONGHYEON's head and stars healing him.

all the other counters could do were sit and wait for her to complete healing the boy.

they all knew and trusted that MRS. CHU would succeed in bringing him back, but they couldn't help but worry about the young boy.

MRS. CHU pants after she finishes the process, yet the counters are tensed as they wait for what she's about to say.

" JUNWON-ah, SO MUN-ah. "

the two teenagers look at her in suspense.

" this boy...you guys saved his life "

they both let out the breath they've been holding, relieved that their efforts were paid off.

MOTAK, HANA, and MRS. CHU proudly smiled at the two in their own ways.

MUN's sobbing stops when he sees SEONGHYEON finally moving and pulls the young boy closer to him.

JUNWON slightly leans on MUN, exhausted, but still able to give him a smile.

the boy returns her smile and allows the girl to fully and comfortably lean on him.

MRS. CHU pats both of their shoulders, nodding at them with a smile.

suddenly, they all hear a sound of someone coughing.

HANA goes towards the man, making him move to the side to check if her suspicion was right.

there it was, a huge black mole on his neck, confirming that he was indeed the evil spirit they were looking for.

" we almost lost that boy to the evil spirit. "

HANA tells the other counters, before pulling the man to the wall, preparing to summon the evil spirit.

MOTAK stands up, approaches HANA and the evil spirit, and looks at the two juniors.

" you're pretty good partners, aren't you? "

he compliments them, a blank expression on his face but he was proud of them in the inside.

" partners... "

JUNWON thinks to herself, that word reminded her of CHEOLJUNG, but it didn't hurt her as much as it usually did.

" i'll summon him "

HANA says, glaring at the man infront of her, before putting his hand on his chest.

she puts her hand on top of his, closes her eyes, and a bright light appears.

the man starts rapidly moving around, releasing weird noises, and his face changes.

" is that...the evil spirit? "

MUN spoke in disbelief, his eyes wide.

" what a shame. i could've eaten that boy's soul "

the evil spirit sadistically says, a psychopathic smile on its face.

HANA puts more force onto his chest, making the evil spirit move around again but this time, it disappears into smoke.

she pants, opening her eyes, and lets go of the man's hand.

JUNWON sighs in relief, but MUN stares at them, horrified.

when she noticed his expression, she realized.

" oh, right...this is his first time seeing this "

JUNWON puts MUN's head on her shoulder, closing his eyes with her hand afterwards.

MUN becomes startled at first, but eventually makes himself comfortable while still protectively holding SEONGHYEON.

" who are you people? "

the man asks after gaining his conciousness.

MRS. CHU notices SEONGHYEON's mother expressionlessly looking at her husband.

" listen. if you keep living like this, whether it be you, your husband, or that boy...one of you will die. "

she pauses to hold the woman's hand.

" i just want to tell you this one thing. all of us here are on your side "

the healer reassures the scarred woman.

JUNWON knew all the woman wanted to do was protect her child, survive the abuse she was going through daily with her husband, and live a carefree, happy life with SEONGHYEON.

her heart ached as she watched the mother of the child MUN was holding in his arms, finally confront her abusive husband ━━ the cause of her everyday hell ━━ knowing that there were people around her, ready to protect her and her child.

MUN notices that the girl beside him was letting out tears without her knowledge, so he uses the sleeve of his navy blue uniform to wipe them off, and wraps his other arm around her figure.

JUNWON's heart flutters at his actions, she didn't even realize she was holding her breath until she felt the need to do so.

she could feel her cheeks and ears becoming warmer, her heart was beating so fast that she was afraid that her classmate would notice it.

JUNWON wraps her left arm around MUN's waist, despite the butterflies in her stomach.

" i just know JEONGHAN would absolutely not let this slide... "

unbeknownst to her, MUN felt the exact same thing when she did that.
