✎ little red riding hood

"the whole world seemed so dark and I cried every night " the familiar tune of one of her favorite musicians's songs blasted through her earphones. lim raon could feel the emotions that they tried to convey through the lyrics and melody, and she too could relate to this song so, so much.

the past few years at her previous school was simply, madness. it was hell for her and she had dreaded coming to school every single day. getting bullied by people wasn't what she wanted to experience in a school that only taught them how to approach and embrace their destiny.

ever since they escaped and came to this new world, raon in fact had been having the time of her life. the subjects taught were way more interesting than the ones at her previous school, and the fact that she could play sports freely with the soccer boys made it ten times better.

there was only one thing she couldn't change though : no one could know about her little secret. absolutely no one, even in this new world filled with 'normal human beings'.

BUMP !

she felt herself coming into contact with something soft, and before she knew it the books in her arms had fallen to the ground and was now scattered on the floor.

raon's first instinct was to growl at whoever had bumped into, before her glowing amber eyes became black and soft again as she realized that her hood had almost fallen off. "yah," raon muttered, giving the person who had bumped into her a 'death glare' after she had secured her hood on again. "can you watch your way next time ? can't you see that i'm here-"

her speech faltered as she finally made close eye contact with the boy in front of her, who equally looked confused and apologetic at the same time. anyone could tell that he was probably one of the popular boys in class known for his visuals, and raon had to admit he was indeed good looking.

"i'm so sorry, i'll help you pick these up..." the boy said, bending down to grab her heavy books on the floor. raon could feel her face getting redder as time passed by, so when the boy handed her back her books she kind off 'snatched' it back really quickly before muttering a quick 'thank you'

"hey-" hwang yunseong stopped when he saw her scurrying off. she was really strange, he thought. till this day he's never seen any student wearing a hood before, plus he swore he had seen her eyes glow amber, but he may have been dreaming.

he then stared at the small wolf keychain on his palm that raon had left behind in a hurry, before letting out a small smile.

HER BACKSTORY ::

lim raon, the girl who's popular in her school, though she hates being the center of attention, in times like this, it just happens. being the daughter of the famous little red riding hood, that's what most people know about her but she has a little secret hiding. raon was born on the 23rd of october, 2000 in berlin, germany with the both of her parents along with her older sister. growing up, she had a pretty tough life as she has to hide herself in a cape, why? '

well you see, though being in the fairy tale, her mother and her father were 'enemies'ㅡ they eventually got married, meaning that raon herself was a half wolf but gladly, she only took the ears part, and the eyes as well. with her older sister, she's not entirely close to them but they do bond sometimes. the reason why they don't bond easily is because, in all honesty, raon doesn't even know why she's mot entirely close with her. but all she could say that her sister is that they fought quite a lot back then, and until now.

 growing up, raon loves and she had always been writing, it's her favorite thing to do. when her friends come out and play. this made her got bullied by being the shy kid, she was an introvert and until now she is. her and her sister share similar interests, all of them have their loves for writing. and the two of them share the same strict parents, sometimes, it's tiring for them because both of their parents are perfectionists and they want their children to be good. that made her feel burdened. she had no friends to talk to her in school, they would call her names. during that time when it was class, she would often make an excuse to go to the toilet and cry there. not many people know about this, she wasn't depressed but she just felt really burdened. but she tried to calm herself down by looking at the bright side or writing, their parents are just strict, not rude or cruel. 

when she was around ten years old, they moved to daejeon, south korea. they moved because of her father's work, this made raon more nervous because she didn't she wasn't very fluent in korean. she only knew basics like "hello", "how are you" and "good bye" because of this reason, she decided to stay quiet. at her school, she would use sign language to tell people what she is feeling or doing, she was glad that some of the kids wanted to make friends with her, and some still don't, they bullied her mute. but she had friends that she could talk to and share feelings or worries to each other, and her friends helped her to be more fluent in korean but all of those were just fake. they just wanted to use her, how she was very nice towards others. she once gave, what she call her 'best friend' there a copy of her essay so she wouldn't have to do the 5 page punishment. but that girl, who is and probably forever will be raon's enemy said that she cheated on hers and the whole school thought that it was her, being not fluent in korean yet, she didn't know how to argue. 

her parents are extremely kind and caring people who would do anything for their children though, she spoke only english to them since she wasn't very fluent in korean yet, but by the help of them, she became more fluent. during raon's elementary school years, they let her explore her interests as well, often letting her take any other additional lessons she wants. she was especially interested in science since long before, but also began becoming fascinated in the history of korea and their music. she also got really really interested in dance, running and soccer, becoming one of her most loved things to do, and becoming really good at it. because of her parents' support, her parents thought it was time for her to finally start to go a school, meaning that she had to move from daejeon to seoul though she was so nervous about it, she did, and there, she had the time of her life. she was always able to be herself and have fun, even though she can get sometimes confused about some of their words. 

but that all changed when she got into sixth grade, raon's personality reversed, she thought that maybe she was just going through puberty at the first place, she still talked but not as much as before and what made it worse was that her beloved grandmother passed away. she became pretty depressed back then and would hurt herself, though she wanted the scars to go away, she knew that she was dumb to do it. entering high school, raon's personality became extremely different, it changed drastically. she was from the happy, funny, bubbly and talkative girl into this quiet, calm, reserved and stubborn one butㅡ she doesn't hate it, in fact, she actually likes it better than before. she once got into a huge physical fight, causing her to get punished by the principal and then her parents had to move her into another school. raon was scared because she thought that her parents would snap at her and get mad, but they didn't, instead they gave her advice on how to handle people like those.

ADDING A LITTLE SOMETHING ::

✎ raon is a black belt in taekwondo, and she can do fencing. at first, her father was the one who forced her to do sports but she ended up falling in love with them ( she does taekwondo, fencing and soccer ! ) she also has a playlist called 'favorites' which consists of course, her favorite songs. but out of all those 40+ songs, her favorites are 'to my youth' (bolbbalgan4) and 'blue rose' + 'white night' (up10tion)

✎ she can't ride a bike. her sister used to teach her how to ride it, but she can never do it. she once broke a someone's fence and the both of them ran away. she is also allergic towards dust and because of that, she usually does the cleaning in her house, and it's because she wants to, making her family consider herself as a cleaning machine, as she is allergic towards dust, that's why she is the one who usually cleans nearly everything up !

✎ raon is good at solving riddles, puzzles and the rubix cube. her friends also said that whenever she's doing nothing or zoning out, she looks like the school's idiot

✎ she's good at playing games, she also knows the ways how to cheat and not get caught.  she also has the innocent and flower girl looks but how she dresses doesn't fit it. she likes wearing skirts but if there are pants then she would wear them instead 

✎ she isn't used to skinship, that's why she rarely does any skinship with anyone. it is not because her parents never showed affection, of course not ! it's just she rarely gets attention from someone who is just slightly older than her, who is her sister

✎ raon has a few habits; playing with her fingers or biting her lip when she's nervous, glaring at people (she doesn't mean it to come off rude though), spacing or zoning out and covering her face when she is embarrassed or shy

✎ raon's eyes change from human like to wolf like if she's angry. you would always see glasses hanging at the center of her shirt, she uses them when she studies or reads

✎ raon's dream vacation is to france and her favorite song genres are r&b and ballads. there are a few things how to make herself calm; writing, reading, listening to music, photography and looking up at the sky.

✎ mousse and ice cream are her all time favorite desserts. her favorite food is sushi and her mother's cooking, and her favorite colors are red, blue, white and black. she also likes any flower, but roses are a big fat no
