I have fallen in love with Teddy Grace Montgomery.

I can keep trying to deny it, but it's not really doing me any good. And then the almost kiss. And the fact she helped me move on by liteally just being my friend. That night, when I saw her in the crowd. I wanted to make her smile, and then I pulled her into the fire escape. We had a connecion, one that formed in that LA venue.

Maybe love is too strong of a word, but it's the only way which I can think to describe how I feel. The little things I'm noticing about her, complimenting her, trying to make her smile or laugh. Maybe it's love, I'm not sure.

"Danielllll." She says and I break out of the sort of trance I was in. "What you thinking about?" She asks, walking away from Zach and over to me.

We had one of our rare days off, and we had decided to spend that day by going to the nearby fair, and so we had changed out of the comfy clothes we had been wearing and gotten off of the bus and into the sunshine.

Teddy wasn't helping my sort-of-in-love-with-her situation, because I think she might look the prettiest I've ever seen her. She changed into a summer dress, with what she described as spaghetti straps. The material was flowy, and red with a flower print over it. Just over the band which was around her waist there was a triangle cut out. Teddy had paired this dress with her white converse and had gone makeup free. And honestly I almost couldn't stop staring.

"You're going to get a weird tan." Was my reply, and I mentally face palmed as she glanced down at her stomach.

"Oh well." Teddy shrugged, then looked back up at me with a smile. "It's sunny and so I thought I could wear it and make the most of it."

I nodded, and me and Teddy walked side by side until we got to the fair, which was when the whole band, plus Eben, Zack and Tyler, decided that we should all split off into groups. And so we did. Jack and Zach, Jonah and Corbyn, me and Teddy and then Zack, Eben and Tyler.

Me and Teddy walked around for a bit, stood so close to each other that our hands were almost touching. We ran into a couple of fans and took pictures, Teddy almost disappearing into the background for that part.

We ended up getting some corn dogs and rainbow popcorn, then played a couple of the games. I won one of them and Teddy picked out the bear, which I obviously let her have. It was around that point when I realized that it felt like more of a date than just two friends hanging out.

"Can we go on the ferris wheel?" Teddy asked, when we got closer to it and before I could answer she had grabbed my hand and was pulling me over to it. I laughed as she pulled me in line and paid for out tickets.

Eventually we got to the front of the line and onto the wheel, sitting on one of the chairs. The guy put the bar down and then the wheel started to move. "Wow." I said, and Teddy nodded, looking out over the fair with a smile on her face.

"Daniel you know how you thanked me last night? Well I just want to say thank you for helping me as well." Teddy said, as our seat reached the very top of the wheel. "I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't pulled me into that fire escape."

"Well I wouldn't know you, you would just be the girl which I made smile in the crowd." I replied, and quickly decided to do something. I took Teddy's hand, almost sighing in relief when I felt her hold my hand, her thumb gliding across the top of my hand before settling. "I probably wouldn't have moved on properly either."

"So that's how I helped you?" Teddy said, her voice soft. "I helped you get over your ex?"

"Well.. yeah." I admit, and look out over the fair. "You helped me get over my ex. And I don't know why it was you, over any other girls I know and have been friends with. But it was. And it is. Since I met you I've barely even thought about her, excluding last night."

"Really?" Teddy murmured and I looked over at her, her eyes meeting mine. "In that case, we both have things to thank each other for."

"Yes, I suppose we do." I reply and this time we're both leaning in, with nowhere to go, no way to escape what we both wanted. Our lips finally meet and I could swear I felt fireworks, as cringy as it sounded.

The kiss was soft and sweet, but filled with a sense of urgency at the same time. When we pull apart, we're heading back to the ground, and when we get off the wheel, I can't stop smiling and when I glance at her, she's the same way.

And together, hand in hand, we walk back to find the boys, carefully avoiding any fans. It's our little secret, something to fantasize about when we were back with everyone. A secret worth keeping.
