daniel i just
want you to know
it's completely not
your fault ok?
seaveydaniel
you got tagged in
bunch of things didn't
you?
teddygrace
a thousand
follower requests in
20 minutes
but it's fine
don't you even
dare worry
seaveydaniel
well you don't know
me that well, seeing
as I am a very daring
man
teddygrace
I know you well
enough to know you
aren't, seriously
seaveydaniel
I don't know you that
well actually so that's
kinda really unfair
teddygrace
yes, because unlike you
a simple google search
doesn't reveal absolutely
everything about me
seaveydaniel
you looked me up
huh?
teddygrace
I didn't say that
but maybe I did
so what, your fans
do it every day
seaveydaniel
you have a point
but my fans also made
you make your acc
private and triggered
your anxiety
teddygrace
ok you want to get to
know me, so lets talk
about everything except
my anxiety
ok?
seaveydaniel
ok so first question hmmm
are you originally from
LA or nah
teddygrace
nah I was born in Florida
and grew up in NYC
then moved to LA to live
with my aunt until I
finished my education
seaveydaniel
so you're not going to
college or anything?
what do you do?
teddygrace
part time in a coffee/book shop
and in a vintage clothes store,
I also do painting and stuff
and I might be doing youtube again
seaveydaniel
so you're a very artistic
person?
teddygrace
Always have been
oh and I like to customize
clothing and stuff like that
seaveydaniel
wait I'm a tiny
bit confused, how do you
customize them exactly?
teddygrace
paint them, embroider them
dye them completely you
know stuff you wouldn't be
able to get them in
stores
seaveydaniel
and you paint like canvases?
and draw? and didn't you
say you sing a bit? dang
what can't you do?
teddygrace
I can't horse ride actually
I fell off one when I was 7
and broke my ankle and I
don't know why I'm telling
you this you didn't need
to know
seaveydaniel
no it's fine, don't worry.
so are you working on
anything right now?
teddygrace
I'm working on this painting,
like drawing out the outline
and stuff
I would send a photo but
it's unfinished and you know
that's kinda weird for me
people normally see my finished
works
seaveydaniel
well how about I ask you
very nicely for your number
and then we can facetime
so you can talk and work
without me distracting you
from your painting
teddygrace
you're smooth seavey,
real smooth
seaveydaniel
so will you?
teddygrace
yeah it's **********
seaveydaniel
ok just a sec

daniels pov
I hate to admit it but the short wait in between me tapping on the FaceTime option and for it to actually connect made me impatient out of my mind. And it's so unlike me to be impatient, seeing as I know for a fact good things come from waiting.
The first thing I noticed when Teddy accepted the call was how bright her room was. The wall which her back was facing was painted teal and painted over in various areas with patterns. There was a large painting in the middle (which I could only assume she had done herself) of a butterfly on a hand. Surrounding it was bunting and fairylights.
On the other wall that I could see, it was plain white with and area painted just like a sunflower field with a blue cloudy sky above it. Framing that painted area was some more fairylights, but also several shelves filled with paintings and art supplies. Under one of those shelves was a rail and upon it hung a few denim jackets, and I smiled once I recognised my own in there.
Teddy must have been sat at her desk, which I assumed was in the corner of the room, from what I could see anyways. On the door was a pair of vans, tied to the hook by their laces, the black painted over by bright paints but I wasn't closer to see what it was.
"Earth to Daniel?" Teddy said and I snapped out of it, looking at her face, realising once more what a sweet sound her voice was.
"You're room is incredible." I managed to get out, and all she could do was laugh, moving slightly.
"You can only see the clean bit. Over by my desk is a mess, covered in paint, random half-finished drawings and paintings. I need to paint over the wall area around my easel because it's covered in paint." Teddy laughed and I felt yet another smile appear on my face.
Teddy had her head partially down, and I could only see the top her head, forehead, eyes and nose. She was obviously concentrating on whatever she was drawing and I didn't want to disturb her, so I looked around her room some more.
"So what are you drawing?" I ask eventually and Teddy moves her head up, and I laugh because of two reasons, one being she looks confused and obviously forgot I was here, two being because she has the tiniest splodge of redish-pink paint on her cheek and she looks cute.
"Oh hi again, sorry I got caught up in it. I'll show you." She rambles and I have to stop myself at letting out another chuckle. That almost chuckle turns into a gasp when Teddy holds up the piece she is working on. It's a picture of just one eye, drawn twice but one with the eye closed and the other with it open.
"Wow." I manage to say and then almost kick myself because I sound so stupid. "It's incredible wow."
"Yeah it's only half done but I'm thinking of doing a nose and lips in the same sort of style. Of course I'll have to wait for this one to dry to continue, but I always have tomorrow. So let's talk about you, seeing as I've said literally nothing to you since you called." Teddy smiles, and puts the sketch book down, careful not to close the book or to smudge the still wet paint.
"You know what, maybe I could sing to you? That way I could get an opinion on some lyrics/melody I've been thinking off and you can paint." I say, and Teddy immediately smiles and nods.
"Yeah ok, sure." She replies, and I contemplate telling her about the paint, but I end up not, and instead I just sing, as she paints.
And I don't think I've ever been this calm. Felt so relaxed and safe and comfortable with a girl. And until now, I haven't thought of her. And I think Corbyn and Zach were tight, maybe it's time for me to move on and get over people of the past. And Teddy might just be on the road to that destination.
I realise I've stopped singing when I see Teddy look up at me, and I continue once more. And we just stay like that, singing and painting and forgetting the world around us.
Even though we're in two different states and have only met once
