There wasn't a bone within Yeori's body that didn't feel tense with the surprise return of her ex-boyfriend and yet another fight between him and Suho. She would love to say that she could be as unbothered by his return as she acted, but it was just a plain lie.

Seeing Seojun the night before had thrown a spanner in the works, disrupted her schedule and made her feel like crap. But she had felt better after eating and getting a good night sleep, lulled into unconciousness by dreaming up ways that she could burn his leather gloves.

But now, she would even get that satisfaction. He had come back to school, which would only induce more uncomfortableness for her - and she would have to give his stupid gloves back.

"Did you know he was coming?" Suho asked as they entered the school, beginning to climb their way up the several staircases between them and the floor their classrooms were on.

"I... guess so." Yeori swallowed, looking uncomfortable as Suho stared at her. "I didn't know, exactly. But I saw him last night.. almost - well did - knock me over with his bike and he mentioned he'd see me at school. I didn't think he was actually being serious."

"Why would he say it and not mean it?" Suho rose an eyebrow. "Of course he was coming back."

"Unlike you, Lee Suho, not everyone aways means everything they say. Seojun jokes about things - a lot of things-"

"Except when he's talking about Seyeon." Both halted in their steps at the mention. It was unusual for him to be so upfront and Yeori adjusted her blazer, somewhat uncomfortable. "He wasn't joking when he blamed me for it."

The bitter conversation that happpened weeks from Seyeon's death had hung over Yeori's head for some time, and the reminder of it was only more painful. She could hardly excuse it - couldn't at all - but Suho looked somewhat murderous. "He was in pain, Suho, he was-"

"He was blaming me for his death. There's nothing to cover it up." Suho shrugged off the touch on his arm, something he usually would have done as soon as it happened. He stalked off down tha hallway, taking a different route to what he usually would have done to reach the classroom.

Suddenly alone, Yeori clutched the material of her skirt and crossed the corridor to the nearest bathroom, spending a minute or so adjusting her uniform before setting off again. She would avoid Suho and then arrive in the classroom when everyone else was already in there. It would be less awkward for her, and Mr Han was always understanding.

"Ah, Yeori, just in time." The hallways were empty when she reached the classroom, which was far louder inside than it usually was. Mr Han was stood at the first door in, and with his hands dug into his pockets, Seojun stood directly behind him. The teacher, clearly remembering what Sihyun had said a week before glanced behind him before clearing his throat. "Get to your seat, okay?"

"Yes sir!" Feigned happiness spilled from Yeori's lips before she could stop it. Seojun was going to be around a lot more now he was back at school. She had taken his absence for granted really - they had been going to school together when they first broken up and when he took a leave of absense she had let herself really get over the fact that they had dated, and now they weren't. She didn't have to see his face everyday, but now she did, and Mr Han was used to seeing her joking around.

So she would act like nothing had changed, like she didn't care - because she didn't. She swore she didn't. But it was plainly obvious she did, sliding down into her seat besides Jugyeong with a smile on her face, nodding reassuringly in the direction of a concerned Sooa and checked, just momentarily, that Suho was sat next to the window like usual.

He was, his jaw hardening as Mr Han entered the rowdy classroom with Seojun following behind him.

"Hello, hello." Mr Han called, waving across the classroom as it quietened. Seojun's eyes brushed over the seat, landing on the place that was very much not empty like it should be. His gaze met Yeori's, who shrugged nonchalantly back.

"Seojun is finally back, it's good to see him right?" The teacher looked around, receiving a wave of positive feedback. Yeori couldn't bring herself to agree nor say anything against it, shaking her head softly as she averted her eyes to the desk. Students in the front row quickly realised that Seojun wasn't exactly focused on the class - well all except one person. "Let's welcome him with a round of applause."

The Kwon girl raised her hands lazily, bringing the palms together only twice before they came to rest of the desk again. She felt positively sick.

"Seojun... you can sit next to Suho." Mr Han pointed out the only spare seat in the class.

"What?" Seojun tore his gaze away from his ex, looking towards the teacher in a state of shock. He scoffed, rolling his eyes at the lack of reaction from Suho before stepping forward, coming to a step besides Yeori. This time he didn't look at her, but instead turned the desk beside her.

Yeori's brow furrowed, ready to step in if he said anything to Jugyeong. He kicked the bottom of her chair and her arm almost darted out.

Jugyeong jumped as she looked up at him. "Hey you. You move." Seojun ordered.

"Me?"

"This was my desk."

"Well.." Mr Han looked awkward. "Jugyeong sat there because she has poor eyesight."

"And because I wasn't particularly looking forward to you coming back and sitting next to me. It isn't like you have your name etched in the wood, is it?" Yeori muttered, watching as he threw a glare her way. "Well after the way we broke up it surprises me you even want to try sitting next to me." She added.

"I feel like I'm in a drama." Sooa whispered, eyes wide. Yeori hadn't even told them why they broke up - they just knew it was bad.

"Er... what about Taehoon?" Mr Han pointed out the seat behind Yeori. It was his version of a compromise, apparently. "Will our handsome Taehoon give up his seat if he doesn't mind?"

Yeori turned to glare at him, but he didn't quite he the hint. "Me?" Taehoon pointed to himself. "Darn it." He got to his feet, before answering with a 'yes', already making his way to the other spare seat. "I'll sit next to Suho."

And with that, Seojun slipped into the seat behind Yeori, who turned her back on him instantly.

Mr Han got into the business for that day, Jugyeong whispering an apology to Seojun with a glance over to Yeori before tuning in herself to whatever cringy thing their teacher was saying.

She felt a poke on her shoulder. "Fuck off." Yeori muttered without a second though, not even turning as she stuck her middle finger up at him yet again.
