' his favourite animal is an elephant. he likes their floppy ears and trumpet trunks. they're like ships with feet ! he does like sea otters too though. they're kind of cute.

' he's a pirate, so of course he drinks a lot of rum. his ship has a large amount of barrels with the alcohol so that it can both be used for celebration, relaxation, and even as an disinfectant.

'killian drinks rum everyday, sometimes a flask in one night. he depends on it, actually, since he'll get nauseous if he doesn't drink it frequently. one would say that this is a withdrawal symptom of alcoholism, but killian will shrug that off. " it's normal. " he'll say.

' killian doesn't like to form strong relationships. he's only had two important people in his life - liam ( his brother ) and milah ( his former lover ) - whom he gave his heart to, and both died.

' most people don't like him since he's a pirate , and the people who do like him always leave/die in a way. now, he doesn’t want to insert himself where he’s not welcome, and he’s extremely wary of rejection/loss. he'll avoid the term 'family' at all cost.

' so if he gets invited to a family meeting of some sort, he'll run away and drink rum to forget. unless someone coerces him to go.

' his eyebrows express and move all the time and he can't seem to bloody control them.

' killian likes to watch people's behavior. he's very perceptive. often he'll sit inside a tavern or on a bench at the docks and watch people interact with others from afar. he wonders about their backgrounds and traits and picks up on minuscule facial and body movements.

' rain is one of his favourite things. storms always make him feel alive. thunder sounds like music to him.

' sleep doesn't go easy on him. mostly he awakens due to nightmares or can't doze off due to thoughts. it is why he uses rum as a coping mechanism. rum before bed keeps the terrors away. it numbs.

' another thing that gets him to sleep is the singing of lullabies. his mother used to sing him those when he was very young. they bring back good memories. unfortunately, there more often than not isn't anyone by his side to sing them.

' he owns a miniature version of the jolly roger ( inside a bottle ) and it's always on his nightstand.

' surprisingly , he picked up on learning how to play guitar. he uses his hook as a strumming plectrum, and his right hand does the rest. he holds the guitar not according to how it's supposed to be played . . . but it's something.

' now that we're on the musical topic, he likes to sing too. and he's actually rather good at it with his cheerful irish voice. most of the time these are old sailor songs and lullabies.

' since he's living in the normal, modern world now, he owns a watch. although, he doesn't really use it since he can tell the time by looking at the sky/stars. that's kind of a must-skill when you're a pirate.
