Games and Murders | Act 1
โ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒโ–ƒ

BLAZE WOKE UP FEELING LIKE SHIT, the sun shined bright in his face was already pissing him off, and the feeling of a puffy face from his emotional breakdown last night, plus the fight he had with his parents once he came home after his dad had joined them. He debated on going to school but automatically decided to go when he remembered his dad had the day off today and the last thing, he wanted to do was spend the day with him in the house, alone.

Throwing his blankets off of his body, he walked over to his bathroom, stepping over all the broken items on the floor, which he didn't bother to pick up. He'd clean it up after schoolโ€”actually that's a lie. He'd tell himself he'd clean after school until that time actually comes around and he'll no longer want to do it, so it'll sit there until he finds the motivation to do it.

Jumping into the shower, he let the steaming hot water run over his body as he just stood there not having the energy to move as he yawned tiredly. His mind drifted back to his conversation with Ryle last night. He didn't expect to see the boy out there but he was glad he did. In a way, Blaze felt closer to him after their talk last night. Why wouldn't he? Ryle is the only person who has seen him in such a state and it indeed meant something to Blaze. He also couldn't help but smile remembering how he had gotten the boy's number, and he didn't even have to ask.

Jesus Blaze. You sound like a lovesick teenage girl. Blaze mentally scolded himself as he started to wash his hair. He never cared much for dating; it seemed like a waste of time to him. Having to care about someone and constantly be worried for their feelings and all that love shit. Blaze didn't want to be stuck in something like that. He liked going to clubs, dancing freely with many men before going back to their place and having a night of wild sex, before doing it all over again, the next night.

But Ryle. That tall, olive skin, naturally stunning man made him wonder what it would be like. What being in love would feel like? Did it include all these mushy feelings he felt around him? Why was he always thinking about him? Or why he felt so free in his presence.

Perhaps a talk with Lydia will help me with these questions. Blaze sighed as he got out of the shower and quickly got dressed in simple black denim jeans, which he rolled at the ankles as the pants were too long for him, with a graphic t-shirt of a pink butterfly on it, before tying up his black high-top Converse.

He made sure his hair looked good in the mirror before tossing on a few random bracelets he found on the floor which was knocked over by him of course and his usual chain necklace which he never took off.

Blaze made sure his mom already left and his dad wasn't near the front door before grabbing his car keys and his bag, walking out of the house, and going to school.

โ”โ”โ”

Getting out of his car, Blaze walked into the school and started to look around for any of his friends. The first period hadn't started yet, and he didn't want to be walking around looking like a loser for 5 minutes.

He walked down the hallway towards his locker when he bumped into Scott who was looking mildly nervous and frustrated, "Hey, you okay?" Blaze asked the newly turned werewolf.

"Besides the fact that I'm being cut from the first line if I don't play the game tonight, I have no control over anything, and my mom and the girl I like are coming to watch me play. My life is ruined." Scott ranted as he leaned against the lockers.

"I would not want to be you right now," Blaze said bluntly as Scott gave him a look.

"Some encouraging words would help me here, Blaze." Scott frowned as he raised an eyebrow at Blaze, expecting him to give him a nice pep talk.

"Fuck control, fuck lacrosse, and fuck everyone. Go onto the field and hope for the best, if you kill someone then tell yourself they deserved it and move on. That's control." Blaze smirked at the boy who gaped at him but didn't get a chance to say anything as Blaze shut his locker and walked away.

"That was a terrible pep talk!" Scott yelled after him, gaining some looks as Blaze laughed and didn't bother to respond to him as the bell rang.

โ”โ”โ”

Blaze shut his locker and put his lock back into the door, holding his jacket as he walked down the hall, prepared to leave the school when he saw Stiles and Scott hiding behind a corner, clearly eavesdropping on his father's conversation with the principal.

"Hey, what's going on?" Blaze asked making them both jump and turn to him with a look of surprise before sighing in relief when they saw who it was.

"Curfew because of the body," Scott said making Stiles and Blaze scoff.

"Unbelievable. My dad's out looking for a rabid animal, while the jerk-off who killed the girl is just hangin' out, doing whatever he wants." Stiles smacks Scott in the and to emphasize his point.

"Innocent until proven guilty, Stilinski. You know for the sheriff's son, your not very bright when it comes to the law or the fact that we can't tell your dad about what happened." Blaze said as Stiles gives him a fake smile.

"I can do something." Stiles nodded as Scott and Blaze shared a look, knowing they were about to be dragged into some crazy plan then will get either one of them killed or in jail, or one in each.

"Like what?"

"Like, find the other half of the body," Stiles said, his expression filled with determination as he walks away leaving the two boys gaping at his back in disbelief.

"Are you kidding???" Scott and Blaze asked in him unison but Scott got distracted by the sound of Lydia introducing Allison to one of the lacrosse players.

"Better go win your girl. You're too pretty to lose to Evan." Blaze winked at Scott who grumbled and walked over to the girls as Blaze chuckled in amusement and walked away.

โ”โ”โ”

Spending his night at the hospital was not how Blaze envisioned his night, but he also never envisioned the supernatural coming to crawl up their asses but here they were. Stuck in a hospital, Scott snuck into the morgue to sniff a dead body with Stiles and Blaze standing in the lobby and being on the lookout.

"Look who it is," Blaze smirked nodding his head at Lydia who was sitting on one of the chairs making Stiles excited and nervous as he leaned against the counter to collect himself making Blaze laugh in amusement. He will never not find Stiles's crush on Lydia amusing, and he was secretly hoping they'd get together someday but he hoped Lydia worked on herself first once she gets rid of the dead weight, she's been carrying around that goes by the name of Jackson Whittemore.

"Good luck." Blaze winked at the boy as he walked around the corner and sat down in one of the chairs not wanting to watch Stiles embarrass himself like he always does. He admired the boy who never gave up on trying to win Lydia over, it made him think back to Ryle. He never got the chance to talk to Lydia about it and he didn't want to bother her at a hospital for something as stupid as his feelings.

Stiles sat down beside him with a huff as he grabbed a Menstrual Cycle pamphlet and decided to pretend to read it as Blaze rose an eyebrow at him.

"Did your love confession not go as planned?" Blaze asked as Stiles shot him a glare.

"Not go talking to me about love confessions. I saw you and Ryle Thorn have been getting close." Stiles shot back at him.

"We're friends." Blaze shrugged as Stiles started laughing in his face making Blaze's expression blank not finding him amusing.

"You don't have friends Blaze. You have people who you put up with and people who will worship the ground you walk on. That's not exactly friends." Stiles rolled his eyes.

Truth be told, Stiles always thought Scott felt something for Blaze. He's seen the way his best friend has looked at the other boy, especially the way he tries so hard not to look at him when he's half-naked or how uncomfortable he gets when talking about Blaze with other boys. He didn't care who Scott liked but he hoped they would get together someday because he was rooting for them big time.

"Gross," Blaze muttered as they both watched Lydia and Jackson kiss in the middle of the hallway. Once Lydia and Jackson are gone, Stiles is distracted by Scott, who rips the pamphlet out of his hands, scaring him so much he jumps in his seat as Blaze stands up.

"Holy god!" Stiles gasped in surprise.

"The scent was the same," Scott said automatically.

"You sure?" Blaze asks him with a raised eyebrow. The last thing he wanted to do was accuse a werewolf of murder. He'd like to make it to his 17th birthday.

"Yes."

"So, he did bury the other half of the body on his property?" Stiles asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"Which means we have proof he killed the girl." Scott nodded.

"This has got to be the worst week of my life." Blaze groaned as he rubbed his hands over his face.

"I say we use it," Stiles says as he walks away with his friends following him.

"How?" Scott asked in confusion, making Stiles sigh as he turns around to face Scott.

"Tell me something first-- are you doing this because you want to stop Derek, or because you want to play in the game and he said you couldn't?" Stiles asked his best friend.

"There are bite marks on the legs, Stiles-- bite marks," Scott said after a moment of hesitation.

"Okay then! Let's go cross something off my bucket list. I already have shovels." Blaze smirked as he walked away leaving a scared-looking Scott and Stiles.

โ”โ”โ”

Blaze got out of Stile's Jeep holding a shovel along with the flashlight that Stile had given him as he glanced up at the Hale house. He felt a shiver go down his spine at being in a place like this. It felt familiar to him somehow but he assumed he's run past it during one of his jogs.

"Wait... Something's different." Scott said as they continued to walk closer to the house.

"Different how?" Stiles and Blaze asked in unison.

"I don't know..." Scott muttered as the three of them arrived at the gravesite Scott aims his shovel at it with a shrug, "Let's just get this over with."

"I should've changed my shoes." Blaze frowned as he glanced down at his now dirty white Converses before going back to digging.

"This is taking way too long." Scott sighed in exasperation as he wiped his eyebrow with his sleeve.

"Just keep going." Stiles rolls his eyes, but he doesn't stop digging.

"What if he comes back? I may be strong but I'm human strong and Scott can't even do well anything." Blaze shrugged as Scott gave him a look, "What? It's true."

"Then we get the hell out of here," Stiles told him.

"What if he catches us?" Scott asked him.

"I have a plan for that," Stiles said as he continued to dig.

"...Which is?" Scott and Blaze asked in unison. Stiles stood digging for a moment to face the boys who did the same.

"You run one way. I run the other, and Blaze goes another. Whoever he catches first? Too bad." Stiles shrugged.

"I hate that plan." Scott frowned as they went back to digging.

"You only hate it because Derek is only interested in you which means you're getting caught first," Blaze smirked at Scott who glared at him.

Scott dumps another scoop of dirt to the side and is about to dig in again when Stiles' shovel hits something solid, causing Stiles to raise his left hand and hold it out in front of Scott to keep him from moving, "Oh, stop, stop, stop."

"What is it?" Blaze asked putting his shovel to the side.

When they look down, they see several twine rope strings poking out of the earth, and the three kneel so they can brush the dirt away with their bare hands. They eventually uncover what looks like a bundle of rough fabric, like burlap, which has been tied closed with the twine rope. Stiles starts to try to untie the bindings, and Scott, still on edge with fear that Derek is going to come back and catch them, impatiently urges Stiles on, "Hurry!"

"I'm trying. Did he have to tie the thing in, like, nine hundred knots?" Stiles exclaimed with frustration in his tone.

"Scott, you do it, you have super strength," Blaze said in a mocking tone, which made Scott roll his eyes but did what he said anyways.

Stiles continues to untie one end of the bundle, while Scott bends down further to start untying the other. After a long moment, the two manage to get it all unknotted, and they open the bundle to find what looks like a severed head of a black wolf. This scares the boys so badly that they all scream and leap out of the grave, all of them landing on their bottoms as they scurry away from half of the wolf's corpse.

"Shit." Blaze cursed under his breath as he held his chest.

"...What the hell is that?" Stiles asked with wide eyes.

"It's a wolf," Scott said as Blaze rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, we can see that. I thought you said you smelled blood, as in human blood?" Blaze asked anger heard in his tone.ย

"I told you something was different..." Scott shrugged, throwing his hands up, not knowing what to say.

"This doesn't make sense," Stiles said incredulously.

"Okay, whatever. We need to get the fuck out of here." Blaze scoffed as he wiped his hands in his jeans.

"Yeah. Okay, help me cover this up." Stiles said, making Blaze annoyed after he just wiped his hands but helped anyways.

Suddenly Stiles stops and looks at something making his friends glance at him "What is it?" Blaze asked him.

"You see that flower?" Stiles asked nodding at the purple flower off to the side.

"What about it?" Scott asked in confusion.

"I think it's wolfsbanes," Stiles said catching Blaze's attention who once read about it with Stiles.

"What's that?" Scott asked once again even more confused than before.

Stiles scoffed at his friend in disbelief, "Uh... haven't you ever seen The Wolf Man? Lon Chaney, Junior? Claude Rains? The original, classic Werewolf movie?"

"No! What!" Scott snapped in frustration.

Stiles shakes his head, completely appalled by Scott's ignorance regarding cinematic classics, "You are so unprepared for this."

"Right, you're the werewolf and you don't even do your research. Be lucky you have us." Blaze said in annoyance as Stiles pulls the plant up and gaped in surprise when the base of the flower had a twine rope wrapped around it, which is also buried underground. He gently pulls up the rope, which has randomly placed wolfsbane petals attached at various points along the length of it, only to find it is connected to the bundle of burlap around the wolf's head, the long length of it buried around the grave in a spiral pattern which glows red as Stiles unravels it.

"Holy shit," Blaze muttered in surprise as he looks back down at the grave.

"Stiles..." Scott trailed off as Stiles walks over to him, confused by their shocked expression, and looks down at the grave to which he yells and jumps back, grabbing Scott's shoulder out of instinct.

"What the fuck." Blaze said as they all started down at the upper half of the body that Scott found in the woods with horror planted across their faces.

โ”โ”โ”

The bleachers are full of spectators excited for the Beacon Hills Cyclones' first real game of the season, and both teams are milling around on their respective sidelines as the referee gets in position on the field.

Blaze was sitting on the bench watching in amusement as Lydia manhandled Scott for whatever reason when he heard his name being called, "Blaze!"

He turned his head to see it was Ryle walking over to him making a smile appear on his face, "Hey, Ryle. You ready for tonight?"

"More than ready. Listen, I'm trying to appear busy so my mom doesn't-" Ryle went to say when suddenly he heard his name being called making him close his eyes, "Come over."

Blaze laughed in amusement as they turned to see a beautiful woman with shoulder-length brown hair wearing a black coat. She looked exactly like Ryle. Blaze had seen her at almost every game, she was always cheering on Ryle. Beside her was a little girl no more than 13, who Blaze assumed was his sister.

"Hey, Mom. You know most parents go to the bleachers not in the field." Ryle smiled tightly at his mom knowing she loved to embarrass him and the last thing he needed was to be embarrassed in front of the boy he liked.

"Yeah well, good thing I'm not like them. Hi, Emily Thorn. Ryle's mother." Emily smiled at Blaze as she shook his hand, giving her son an approving nod which made Ryle want to die.

"I'm Cassie. His awesome sister." Cassie smiled cheekily at Ryle who rolled his eyes.

"Blaze Anderson. I've seen you around quite a lot. Ryle's biggest fans." Blaze sent a teasing smirk to Ryle who looked away.

"I wouldn't miss a game. Gives me a chance to spy on him and all the boys and girls he likes to stalk online." Emily smirked at her son who gaped at her in disbelief.

"Oh, my god. Mom!" Ryle turned red from embarrassment as Blaze chuckled in amusement, "I do not do that."

"Yes, he does," Cassie whispered to Blaze who had an amused smile on his lips.

"Oh please. Isn't this the same Blaze whose Instagram you were looking at last night-" Emily went to say when Ryle cut her off completely red.

"Okay, Mom! Game starts, time for you to leave." Ryle said sternly as he pushed them towards the stairs making Emily laugh.

"Love you. Good luck." Emily blew him a kiss as Ryle turned around and looked at a smirking Blaze that made him flush even more.

"Just-just shut up" Ryle closed his eyes as he walked past Blaze not even being able to look at him Blaze laughed and followed him onto the field as the whistle blew.

On the field, the referee has set the ball down on the grass between Jackson and one of the players on the other team before ordering them into position, "Down!"

The team played the game throughout the night. Stiles and Blaze both kept an eye out for Scott to make sure he was in control, but other than that they enjoyed the night. Minus the fact that Jackson had some of the players avoid passing to Scott which was starting to piss Blaze off.

"Jackson!" Blaze snapped as stopped running to help Scott up after Jackson knocked him to the ground just to make himself look better, "You okay?"

"I'm fine," Scott said in a frustrated tone as Jackson smirked at him but avoided Blaze's hateful glare.

"WOOOO!" They heard Lydia and Allison cheering with a sigh that said, 'We Luv You Jackson', making Blaze cringe.

"Yo. Lyds!" Blaze called out in an offensive tone trying to get their cheering off of Jackson as he saw how pissed off Scott was getting.

"GO, BLAZE!" Lydia cheered loudly making both of them laugh as Blaze sent her a thumbs-up.

"Yo, Ryle. Pass to McCall, if you get the chance." Blaze called out to the boy making him nod.

"Okay." Ryle ran passed him with a smirk knowing it would piss Jackson off and he wasn't exactly a fan of him.

Everyone got in position to play again as everyone watched intensely seeing how odd Scott was acting making Blaze nervous. The game started again and automatically Scott got the ball and jumped over two players before landing on his feet he dived three players who tried to tackle him before he scored a girl making everyone jump up and cheer.

"Way to go, McCall!" Blaze patted him on the shoulder happily as Jackson glared at them angrily.

The next game starts and Blaze paused as he watched the other player openly give Scott the ball before he once again ran past the players trying to stop him before scoring a goal.

Blaze was starting to get nervous about this playing as he could see how much Scott was losing control and the last thing they needed was for Allison's father to find out about him, or anyone else for that matter.

Jackson and the opposing player crouch down to stand off for possession of the ball, which ends with the latter winning and running down the field. However, he accidentally drops the ball, which Scott scoops up before running the other way.

However, his vision turns red as the transformation into his Werewolf self takes over, forcing Scott to use the very limited control he still has to try to keep himself away from the other players. As a result, he freezes in place, unsure of what to do next as he growls under his breath at a volume that seems to be steadily increasing.

"Come on, come on, come on..." Melissa muttered into her hands with a nervous expression.

"You can do it, Scott. You can do it, Scott." Allison mumbled encouragement among her father's side eyeing her not liking this newfound infatuation for the boy.

"Remember what I said, fuck the control. Just go for it." Blaze reassured him hoping Scott could hear him and it appears he did as he starts to run before he twists at the waist and puts all of his strength into tossing the ball toward the goal, which flies with such force that the goalie dodges it rather than trying to catch it

The referee blows his whistle just as the buzzer sounds that the game has timed out, leading all of the supporters of the Beacon Hills Cyclones to leap to their feet and cheer ecstatically, thrilled to see the final score is 6:5 with Beacon Hills winning the game.

"Yeah!" Blaze cheered as they hugged and clapped each other on the back as the audience members came running into the field.

"Hey, Scott-" Blaze went to say when he saw the man running off the field with Allison chasing after him, making him frown as he dropped his stuff and ran after them, leaving Ryle to watch him with a curious look on where they were going.

The pair were already far enough so Blaze ran faster after them and walked into the boy's locker room where he heard Allison calling his name.

"Scott?" Allison said turning around the corner as Blaze walked over to her, looking around for Scott just in case.

"Allison," Blaze said, making the older girl jump in fright before she laughed seeing who it was.

"Jesus Blaze. You scared the hell out of me." Allison said as Blaze looked around the locker room.

"Scott, you in here?" Blaze called out trying to appear as if he wasn't internally freaking out about Allison being so close to the out-of-control werewolf.

"Scott?" Allison said as they walked towards the showers, sighing in relief when they saw Scott leaning against the shower, "Hey, are you okay?"

"Allison, wait. Scott." Blaze said louder making Scott snap out of it and turned around, slightly jumping in surprise.

"You scared me. Are you all right?" Allison laughs after her worry faded away seeing he was okay and so was she.

"Yeah... Sorry, I-I... just got kind of lightheaded for a sec." Scott denied it as he glanced at Blaze and nodded his head, letting him know he was okay.

"Maybe it's the adrenaline? You were pretty amazing out there." Allison smiled at him, clearly impressed with his performance.

"She's right. You didn't disappoint." Blaze smirked at Scott who chuckled, "I'll let you two do whatever, condoms in my locker if you need one."

"Blaze." Scott closed his eyes as his cheeks turned red making Blaze laugh.

"I'm just playing, sort of. See you guys, later." Blaze winked at Allison who also turned red as he grabbed his stuff before walking out of the room back towards the field.

Walking out of the double doors, he turned a corner where he bumped into Ryle who was about to head inside, "There you are. No time to celebrate." He teased.

"I didn't want to miss Allison and Scott's puppy flirting in the locker room." Blaze smirked back at him as they shared a chuckle, "Where is your mom?"

Ryle looked back at the field where everyone was still celebrating before he sighed and gave Blaze a look seeing the smirk on his lips, "Hopefully disappearing so she can never embarrass me again."

"I like her, very nice and honest," Blaze said as Ryle shoved him feeling embarrassed all over again.

"What she said-" Ryle went to say when Blaze cut him off.

"Don't worry, no need to be so embarrassed. Not like I haven't done it." Blaze shrugged shamelessly as Ryle just stares at him for a moment before chuckling.

"Can we just pretend that never happened and never speak of it again?" Ryle pleaded as Blaze laughed and nodded.

"If it makes you feel better then sure. but besides that, you were great out there." Blaze said nodding towards the field.

"You, too. Something tells me, Jackson is not going to let this go easily." Ryle said as Blaze rolled his eyes.

"Fuck Jackson, I hope Scott steals his spot as Captain. He needs to be humbled." Blaze scoffed, making Ryle nod his head in agreement. The pair stood there in silence not knowing what to say to each other.

"I should probably head back to my mom," Ryle said looking away from Blaze's green eyes.ย

"Yeah, um okay. I'll see you at school?" Blaze nodded hiding his disappointment. He didn't even know what he was disappointed about, but he assumed it had something t do with the feeling he got in his body at the thought of Ryle having to leave.ย

"Yeah, see yeah." Ryle nodded as he turned around and walked back to the field, completely forgetting the fact that the only reason he came over was to grab his bag that he left in the locker room, "Oh hey, Stiles."

"Oh hi." Stiles waved as he rushed towards Blaze who wore a confused expression, "We need to find Scott. It's about Derek."
