Today is their engagement, at her home. The house, was looking like a bride itself. It was beautifully decorated with flowers and golden fairy lights. The house was filled with people. Only some close neighbours, and some of Shehnaaz close friends were invited for the function. Both the family's were dressed up according to the function. So was the guests. Shehnaaz was wearing a beautiful light pink silk saree having silver border, with silvery gray blouse with it. She wore white cristal stone and soft pink pearl jewellery. Her hair was made into a messy bun. With nude makeup and red bold lipstick. She was looking gorgeous. Sidharth was wearing a matching gray indo western sherwani suit complimenting her saree.

"Bohot pyaari lag rahi ho tum Shehnaaz." Anjali complimented caressing her face gently

"Thank you aunty." Sana replied smiling shyly

"You welcome beta. Beta, tum naa mujhe mom yah mummy bola karo. Shaadi horahi hai tumhari Sidharth ke saath. Thik hai?" Anjali requested

"Ji aunty. I mean mummy ji." Sana said feeling shy

Both the ladies got into a conversation. Sidharth was busy talking with her father and few other man from neighbour, whom Gurman has introduced to him. But his eyes were stealing glance of Shehnaaz. He was observing her from far time to time. He noticed, Shehnaaz was smiling, but a fake one. She was getting lost, time to time while interacting with people. He wondered, what happened to her suddenly. Even now, she is looking sad while conversing with his mother. But she was normal and happy last night when they talked. She didn't even bother to ask him, if he is fine or not. Apart from the fact that they still didn't get a chance to talk alone. He couldn't even praised her beauty. That how beautiful she is looking now. But then understood she must be nervous being around so many people. Getting conscious thinking what people must be talking behind her back. This thought made him feel guilty again.

"Sidharth ji, kaha kho gaye ap?" Gurman's voice brought him back on earth

"Ji? Kahi nahi sir." Sidharth replied shifting his eyes from Shehnaaz to her father.

"Pyaari lag rahi hai naa bohot?" Gurman asked eyeing Shehnaaz

"Huh! K-kon sir?" He fumbled getting nervous with the thought of getting caught red handedly staring his daughter openly infront of him.

"I'm talking about my daughter and your future wife, Shehnaaz. Aur kon." Gurman laughed, and his face became red in embarrassment.

"Ji? Haan. Acchi lag rahi hai woh." He tried to act normal hiding his nervousness and embarrassment.

"I know, you must be missing your papa today. Which is obvious. Aaj apka engagement hai. Toh yaad ana normal hai. Itna bada din hai apke life ka. Toh..." Gurman was interrupted by Sidharth

"Kya baat hai sir? Ap baba ka topic kyu laa rahe hai?" He asked in confusion

"Main yeh keh raha tha, ap abse mujhe papa kahiye. Jo Sana puttar bulati hai. Mujhe accha lagega agar ap bulayenge toh." Gurman requested politely

"I'll try, pa..papa."

He got emotional getting a father in him. Seeing Sidharth emotional, he took him for a warm fatherly hug. Sidharth immediately hugged him back with moist eyes, and he rubbed his back consoling him. He smiled in happiness.

"Chaliye puttar ji, ab ap sofe pe beheth jaiye. Sana puttar tu bhi sofe pe beheth jaa." Gurman requested.

Sidharth nods and sit on sofa. Preet escort Shehnaaz to the sofa and made her sit beside him. Then, their parents admired them, thinking how perfect they look together. Like, they're made in heaven. They moved away from them, giving them space to talk and sort it out.

"Shehnaaz, tum thik ho?" Sidharth asked finding them alone.

"Haan Sidharth ji. Par ap aise kyu puch rahe hai?" Sana cross questioned him in return.

"Actually, I found you little upset now. You're sounding low. But, last nigh, you were fine. Then, Are you nervous been around so many people? See Shehnaaz, don't bother about others and their nonsense. They don't matter to you. Better, see the bright side. I, mom, your parents, we all love you." Sidharth paused on the mention of LOVE seeing her shocked reaction

"I mean to say, your family loves you and care for you. So, their opinion should matter to you only than outsiders." He immediately corrected his statement.

"He understood me so well. I was nervous for this. Apart from Raj. Woh kuch kand naa kare ab. Aur sad! Sad nahi hoon. Emotional hoon. Jo aunty ji ne kaha." She thought before replying to him.

"Aisa kuch nahi hai Sidharth ji. Bas thoda nervous hoon. First time hai naa. Ap nahi ho kya?" She asked smirking, acting normal.

"Hoon toh. But tum toh aise bol rahi ho jaise tum dubara shaadi karogi. Yah yeh mera 2nd time hai." He chuckled on his own words.

"Kya ap bhi!" She giggled on his words.

"Beautiful." He admired her smiling face. And Sana just smiled shyly in response.

"Cute." He thought seeing her shy red face.

"Ap handsome lag rahe honge nahi?" She asked

"Ab main khud ki tareef thodi karunga. Koie kare toh accha lagega naa." He joked.

But his words, made her sad. Thinking she never saw him before, and won't be able to see him in future too. Not even once in this lifetime. She can't even imagine him in his engagement clothes. Or any other clothes. This thought made her sad eventually.

"I'm sorry Shehnaaz." He apologised feeling guilty.

"No. It's okay. Ap sorry mat boliye. Waise ap thik hai ab? Gir gaye the naa bed se?" She asked changing the topic

Before Sidharth could reply her, Raj comes there playing dhol, gaining everyone's attention. He looked at Raj in confusion. Not knowing who is he. He never saw him before. A young, tall, fair and handsome man. Where Shehnaaz was confused thinking what's happening here. Not to keep her curiosity to herself, she asked Sidharth about it. On this he replied, he never saw him before. It continued for good 5-7 minutes, which made her irked. She requested him to ask someone to stop him. As loud sounds irks her a lot. He walked up to her father, and requests him to stop it. Then come back to his place and informed her he told her father for it.

"Raj band kar bajana." Gurman words made him stop and Shehnaaz grasp on his name.

"Raj! Yeh kya yaha tamasha karne aya hai? Dhol tasha leke?" Sana gets worried thinking what he'll do now to stop this marriage now.

"Namaste! Uncle ji. Kaise hai ap? Aur MERI SANA kaha hai? Dekhu toh sahi kaisi lag rahi hai woh bandari." Raj asked cheerfully hiding his pain.

Shehnaaz grasped on "Meri Sana". The way he called her his, infront of so many people made her sad than happy. She always wanted it but, now it's too late. On other side, Sidharth was confused and was frowning thinking, who is he calling his future wife "Meri Sana" that too with so much right. As if she is his girl.

"Arey! Teri best friend idhar hai Raj puttar." Preet called, pointing Shehnaaz.

"He is your best friend?" Sidharth asked her

"Umm! Ji. Bachpan ka dost hai. Bohot bakwas karta hai. Ap please ignore karna usko. I mean uske faltu baaton ko." Sana requested hiding her nervousness, thinking what if Raj tells him the truth and he broke the marriage. Then his father name will be ruined for sure.

"Hmm! Mazakiya type hai I guess." Sidharth guessed  seeing his behaviour

"Haan bohot. Ap dekhna abhi kaise bandar ki tarah uchalte huye ayega. Mujhe bandari bolte huye." Sana replied with a fake smile to hide her nervousness.

Sidharth chuckled, as Raj literally came there running, calling her "meri bandari". Sidharth didn't find "Meri" word offended here, after knowing he is her best friend. He knows friends do call each other like this. It's normal.

"I can't believe. Aaj meri bandari ki engagement hai." Raj wished embracing her, after pulling her up from sofa.

"Raj, kya kar raha hai?" Sana asked in low voice.

"Tujhe hug." Raj whispered holding her tightly.

"Chod! Awkward mat kar. Sidharth ji dekh rahe hai." Then she broke the hug using force.

"Dekhne de usko. Huh!" Raj said before kissing her forehead.

Shehnaaz grasped thinking what Sidharth and his mother must be thinking now. But soon she felt a light pull from behind by her right hand, and she sits on her rightful place, beside Sidharth. It was him who pulled her back seeing the awkwardness written on her face. Otherwise, he didn't find anything wrong in it. They're best friends. They can hug and Raj can give a peck on her forehead.

"Hi!" Sidharth greeted forwards his hand for a handshake to Raj.

"Hi!" Raj replied with a fake smile and sits beside Sana ignoring his hand

"Mannerless." Sidharth thought taking his hand back getting little embarrassed, because others were looking at them.

"Tu yaha kyu behtha?" Sana asked hiding her anger and nervousness.

"I'm your best friend Sana. Chill!" Raj said casually hiding his pain, that she don't wanna sit beside him even.

"But yaha sirf main aur Sidharth ji behthenge. Uth! Tu." Sana said firmly

"Yaar! Sana.." Raj frowned

"It's okay Shehnaaz. He is your best friend. Let him sit." Sidharth said being polite.

"See?" Raj smirked.

"Par.." Sana tried to oppose but was stopped by Sidharth

"It's okay baba. Relax. Best friend hai. Ex boyfriend nahi jo mujhe problem ho. Hmm!" Sidharth said making them grasp.

"Kya hua? Saap kyu sung gaya dono ka?" Sidharth asked seeing their tensed expression

"Kuch nahi. Tu jaa yaha se." Sana ordered Raj but he didn't moved but sits shamelessly

Sana groaned in irritation innerly then moved closer to Sidharth. Leaving space in between her and Raj. Sidharth smiled on her gesture and looked at Raj, who had a frown face for it. Sidharth became little suspicious about them, by their weird attitude. Especially about Raj. Raj, got up from sofa when Gurman asked him. As Sidharth and Shehnaaz will exchange rings. Raj frowned upon it, and stand far away from them with Happy. Raj frown face didn't go unnoticed by Sidharth. He though to talk with Shehnaaz later, after their ring ceremony.

On Anjali's command they exchanged rings, a pair of beautiful platinum and diamond love band. Both felt a different sensation when they holds their hand while wearing their rings. But like always both ignored it and passed a smile to others. Everyone clapped, and congratulates them. Sidharth noticed, the loudest clap was of Raj. But his facial expression and eyes wasn't matching at all. His lips was curved into a smile, maybe a fake one. As his eyes was moist. His eyes was fixed only on Shehnaaz all the time. He again got doubtful about Raj.

"What's wrong in between them? Are they really just friends? Or something else? Or it's only Raj? Shehnaaz looking little normal now. But still her eyes? It shows sadness." Sidharth got confused with their behaviour

"Sidharth ji" Shehnaaz voice brings him out from his thoughts

"Haan. Kya hua?" Sidharth asked

"Woh mujhe thoda kaam hai room mein. Main abhi aie." Sana excused herself to use washroom

He nods understanding her words and she left. He looked at Raj who was talking with Happy now. He noticed his face was showing anger, frustration and sadness. He wondered what they're talking about. He can't even go and talk to them now. He don't know them. Shehnaaz didn't introduced him to them yet.

"Kya kar raha hai tu veere? Sana ki sagaai hogayi hai uss ladke se. Waise handsome toh hai. Dono acche lagte hai saath mein." Happy's words made Raj angry. 

"Tujhe nahi lagta tu kuch zyada bol gaya? Sana sirf mere saath acchi lagti hai. Samjha?" Raj said in anger

"Haan. Par tune kuch socha shaadi kaise rokega? Parso shaadi hai veere. Dekhte dekhte sagaai hogaya. Kaal mehendi aur haldi hoga. Phir shaadi mubarak." Happy asked sarcastically

"Dekh yaar. Bhale hi engagement hua ho. Par chaar phere nahi huye hai. Aur rahi baat mehendi aur haldi ki. Toh woh toh mere naam ki lagegi. Dekh lio tu. Phir phere bhi main lunga. Yeh nahi." Raj said eyeing Sidharth

"Dekhte hai. Main kya boluga future mein. Mubarak ho Raj veere. Yah.. mubarak ho Sidharth paaji." Happy's words made him frown

"Tujhe doubt hai mere upar?" Raj asked

"Dekh veere, jo hoga acche ke liye hoga. Rab ji pe bharosa rakh. Sab thik hoga. Hmm." Happy replied playing safe seeing Shehnaaz coming to them

"Tu...." Raj paused seeing Sana

"Congratulations." Raj said sarcastically

"Shut up! Khabardar jo kuch kand kia toh. Dost hai dost banke reh. Yaha boyfriend mat ban samjha. Unko shak hojayega hum dono pe." Sana warned sternly

"Hone de usko. Yeh toh acchi baat hai phir. Main ek kaam karta hoon, tere Sidharth ji ko sach bol deta hoon. That we love each other and we wanna marry each other. Ap please kabab mein haddi mat bano. What's say? Best idea. Woh shaadi tod dega. Nahi?" Raj became happy with his own idea.

"Yeh accha idea hai veere. Tu yahi kar. Bol de unko. Accha insaan hai woh. Tod denge woh tum dono ke liye I'm sure." Happy also agreed with him

"Koie kuch nahi bolega. Naa tu. Aur naa tu Raj. Let this marriage happen. Issi mein sabki bhalai hai. Main apne mummy papa ki dil nahi tod sakti selfish hokar. They love him. Bohot acche hai woh." Sana's words made them frown

"Par Sana..!!" Both the boys chided in unison

"Tum dono ko meri kasam! Kuch nahi karoge tum dono. Let this marriage happen. Lagi samajh?" Sana warned them, and went back to Sidharth

"Yaar! Yeh ladki!? Kya hai yeh? Kasam deke gayi kamini!" Raj said in irritation

"Paheli. Waise tune dekha hai yeh movie? SRK aur Rani ka hai. SRK bhoot tha. Matlab woh bhoot SRK ke roop mein tha. As her husband. Dono ko pyaar hota hai. Səx wagera bhi karte hai dono. Shayed? Main bhul gaya thoda." Happy's words made him shocked

"Shut up yaar Happy." Raj said angrily

"Well, ab toh pakka hai veere." Happy said sadly

"Kya pakka hai?" Raj asked in confusion

"Yahi, mujhe ab mubarak ho Sidharth paaji bolna hai. Kasam deke gayi woh hume. Marne thodi de sakte hai hum usko. Tu pyaar karta hai naa? Toh bhul jaa usko." Happy explained sadly

"Saale chup hoja!! I hate kasam!! Life barbad hogaya mera iske chakkar mein. Arghhhh!!" Raj got frustrated and left from the place, and Happy followed him.

This was seen by Sidharth. He looked back at Sana who was sitting beside her quietly playing with her engagement ring. Pulling it out and then put it back on it's rightful place.

"Yeh kho jayega." Sidharth's words made her stop immediately

"Ji?" Sana asked in confusion

"Yeh ring kho jayega. Agar aise karogi toh." Sidharth replied

"Oh! Nahi karungi. Woh bas bore horahi hoon naa. Toh iss liye." Sana said softly

"Hmm! Shehnaaz, ek baat bolu?" Sidharth asked

"Hmm. Boliye naa." Sana replied

"Don't take me wrong Shehnaaz. But, I guess.."
