PERSONALITY.

Carter is mostly a kind, understanding and easy-going young man who can also be quite awkward, anxious and even shy at times. He treats everyone and everything equally and thinks that everyone should be able to be themselves without being judged. He doesn't like to believe what people say about others and instead prefers to think of the person through his own experiences with them, if he has any.

Carter doesn't believe in killing others without any proof that they're guilty. Actually, he doesn't believe in killing others at all. He sticks with the fact that taking another's life is downright cruel. Even if someone is in the wrong, Carter doesn't feel manslaughter is necessary, he's almost always ready to give someone a second chance, and then a third, and then a fourth and so on. His trust is one of the things that make him easy to use. If you convince him something is right and reasonable, he'll do it, and if he won't do it, he'll definitely think of it continuously — he's also not one to give names quickly, so he may end up taking all the blame for things he's been manipulated into doing because he thinks you should have another chance to redeem yourself.

Carter is very hard to anger unless you're someone he dislikes. He definitely doesn't like their ruler, that's for sure. His views on Stefan aren't the best. Carter is just barely able to keep himself quiet when the man's a topic, and seeing as he's now to be wed to his sister, honestly Carter's very likely to have a few moral dilemmas and attitude changes.

BRIEF BACKSTORY.

Carter was born the heir of House Everlin and the oldest of three siblings. He was fairly close with his sisters and felt he had a good relationship with his parents as well, till his mother passed and his father begun to keep his distance so he could focus more on his wealth and power. Ever since then, Carter found himself feeling anxious around his father, as if he was a complete stranger who could sentence him to death anytime he wanted. He was married at twenty-years-old, though his wife was wrongly executed a year later, leading to his hatred for the king now.

PETS/COMPANIONS.

Much like his father, Carter owns a stray puppy he found on the streets not long before his wife died. He's named it Fritz.
