iii. dear broken heart
( 5247 words ).

━━EUNBYUL WAS, AS they say, "hanging on by a thread". except this was in a literal sense. lee eunbyul was on the verge of death.

with one hand coiled around the fire hose and the other grabbing onto cheong san's sweaty hand, eunbyul was in quite the tough spot.

"stop moving—fuck!" eunbyul yelled down as cheong san wriggled his body in an attempt to get a better grip, only resulting in moving the rope and loosening eunbyul's own grip.

"i'm too busy trying not to fall to my fucking death, thank you very much!" he yelled back.

"hey, hey! look, it's bare su!" eunbyul ignored him as she caught sight of a familiar big eared boy.

"suhyeok!" she called, automatically drawing everyone else's attention.

"look below you! what are you doing cheong san, kick it off!" suhyeok, who had a brain the size of a walnut, clearly couldn't tell that both eunbyul and cheong san were currently fighting for their lives.

"no fucking shit, sherlock! i hadn't noticed, thanks so much for pointing out the obvious!" eunbyul yelled back, straining to hold on now that cheong san was thrashing around and trying to kick the zombie that was trying to bite his leg.

before he could reply, eunbyul gave a gasp and felt the burn of the rubber in her hand slide down a few inches. wincing, she tightened her hold on the rope.

"yah, bare su, above you!" cheong san yelled, eyes widening at the zombie that was slobbering blood from the floor right above suhyeok.

without a second thought, he jumped and caught on the closest thing, being the rope. and eunbyul. with his hands around her shoulders, suhyeok was yelling like a maniac into her ear.

"what the fuck were you thinking!" eunbyul snapped as the boy traveled downwards, using her as a rope since he could barely hold on to anything else. "yah! watch your hands, asshole!"

"my bad!" suhyeok called back, but he didn't really mean it. if eunbyul hadn't been on the verge of death, she would've kicked him where it hurt.

after minutes of shouting and complaining, suhyeok finally managed to reach cheong san, and effectively kick off the zombie.

"holy shit," suhyeok breathed as the others stick their heads out the window at the sound of his voice. he was currently gripping cheong san's waist. "i told you to kick her off. why didn't you listen"

"yah, stop hugging me weirdo." cheong san grinned.

"i'm not hugging you, moron."

"get lost." cheong san rolled his eyes in amusement.

"do you like this or what?" suhyeok joked back.

"hey, mind hurrying the fuck up!?" eunbyul broke the moment, her irritation blatantly obvious.

"sorry!" suhyeok grinned at her, making her eyes instinctively roll.

━━WHILE SUHEYOK WAS being fussed over, cheong san and eunbyul were paid no mind.

nayeon and gyeong su were busy yelling at each other, probably to something nayeon had said. one of these days eunbyul was going to knock that brat's teeth in.

jeez, i almost die and all everyone cares about is if mr. popular is safe. eunbyul thought sourly. then her eyes caught on a familiar figure that hadn't been with them, and her eyes lit up.

"ms. park!" eunbyul bounded over to her with a bright smile, and despite the fact that her palms were red and raw from holding onto the rope for so long, she embraced the older woman.

"eunbyul! i'm so glad to see you alive. you scared me when the three of you idiots were dangling from that rope." ms. park smiled, and her eyes crinkled slightly.

"sorry. we had a bit of a problem back at our old hideout. some of us didn't make it in time so we got stuck on that rope." eunbyul explained, scratching her cheek.

surprisingly, cheong san was the one who interrupted their conversation. he pulled eunbyul away, bowing to ms. park and apologizing before dragging eunbyul over.

"what the hel—?" eunbyul was cut short when cheong san flipped her palms upward and clicked his tongue.

"i knew it." he muttered as he removed his tie and pulled so the one connected piece became two. with as much care as possible, he wrapped the pieces around eunbyul's hands, leaving her watching quietly.

when he was finished, he looked up at her.

"there. sorry i made you hold me up." he smiled lightly.

eunbyul flicked his forehead out of instinct before laughing.

"thanks, chick." she flashed him a grin.

cheong san's heart fluttered in his chest.

"—stand you, stupid welfie."

eunbyul whirled around, eyes set on nayeon as she scoffed.

gyeong su stared at her before pushing her shoulder—rather gently, in eunbyul's opinion—making her gasp and dramatically fall into a chair.

both eunbyul and cheong san held gyeong su back.

"what the fuck did you just say?"

"stop it." cheong san told gyeong su.

eunbyul kept her mouth shut, because it would be hypocritical of her to tell gyeong su to stop when she wanted nothing more than to do the same thing he did. also, she didn't mind seeing nayeon get put in her place.

but of course, bratty, pompous nayeon got back up, acting all high and mighty because gyeong su wouldn't actually beat up a girl even if he hated her. unfortunately for her, he did have a friend who'd beat anybody up no matter the status or gender.

"did you just hit me?" nayeon asked with her head up.

you call that a hit? that was more like a tap on the shoulder, eunbyul scoffed. clearly, she was biased.

"yeah, i did. say that again." gyeong su narrowed his eyes at her.

ms. park, finally catching a whiff of the black cloud that was nayeon and gyeong su's argument, and although it was all nayeon's fault, their teacher didn't know that.

"cut it out you guys. what are you doing?" she stood in between both teens, arms crossed and eyebrows furrowed.

nayeon, being the manipulative and truth-twisting witch that she was, spoke first before anyone else could inform ms. park the truth.

"he just hit me!" she blurted out, forgetting the fact that she had called him a welfie first and practically insulted him because he was in a different social class than her.

"you called me a welfie first!" gyeong su shot back.

"was i wrong?" nayeon tilted her head.

"how could you say that?" cheong san stepped in, defending his friend.

as eunbyul noticed, gyeong su was more exasperated than angry at this point. after all, nayeon always liked to poke fun at the fact that she was richer than him, better off than him, and overall had a better life than him.

"what's a welfie?" at that, everybody went silent, averting their eyes. nobody wanted to embarrass gyeong su further than he already felt. "tell me. what's a welfie?"

"a person on welfare." came suhyeok's quiet reply. he'd spared everyone from inflicting the finishing blow of pity that would soon surround gyeong su just like the silence of his peers.

ms. park turned to look at suhyeok with raised eyebrows. "what?"

"a person on welfare," he repeated, voice louder and clearer. "welfie, for short."

ms. park looked like she was fighting an internal battle with herself. after all, she must've been shaken up already by the flesh eating creatures that may or may not have been her students at one point, and now she had to deal with the taunts of nayeon and gyeong su's justifiable anger.

"nayeon, that's wrong. don't you ever say that again." she reprimanded. "and gyeong su! if you hit someone for saying that, they'll get the satisfaction of seeing you crumble! you understand what i mean, right?"

"no," was his quiet reply.

"kids, we shouldn't be fighting amongst ourselves right now. it's not the time nor place. we don't know what's going on—"

"aren't they zombies?" suhyeok interrupted.

"where are all the other teachers? did you call the cops?"

all of a sudden there was a bombardment of questions no one could probably answer.

"i'm sure someone called the police. i don't have my phone." ms. park looked around at all their faces, and eunbyul got the feeling she was on the verge of overwhelming. after all, a human being—adult or not—could only do so much before they shut down.

"we called too, but they're not coming. both the police and the first responders." cheong san said.

"they'll be here soon. let's just wait here a little longer."

eunbyul stayed silent. despite the fact that the mere presence of their teacher had soothed many of their troubles or doubts, she couldn't help but feel that it had done nothing for their situation. they were still stuck, hungry, and no one was coming for them anytime soon. eunbyul didn't understand how her peers failed to see that just because ms. park was an adult didn't mean that she could fix everything.

"hyeon ju went to the hospital."

"then maybe it spread there too."

"maybe that's why no one's coming."

"hold on," joon yeong spoke up, pointing to the computer. it was a wonder nobody had noticed it before. "this works, right?"

‎ ‎

━━EVERYONE GATHERED AROUND joon yeong as he turned on the desktop computer. to their immense relief, the dark screen lit up—it worked.

"fuck, why's it so slow?" eunbyul raged, throwing her hands up in the air.

"language!"

"sorry, ms. park."

everybody crowded around the loading computer in anticipation. finally, after what seemed like hours waiting, the screen finally loaded and they were in.

"type in zombie virus!"

"no, maybe try searching up hyosan."

"check facebook!"

and check facebook they did.

upon logging in, thousands of notification flooded joon yeong's account. but what caught eunbyul's eye was the video on his main page.

"looks like the virus spread all over the city." she muttered, making joon yeong jolt in surprise as her breath fanned the back of his neck.

before anybody could watch the video, a sudden crash interrupted them and glass shattered all over the floor. some students screamed, while eunbyul grunted with the impact of gyeong su's elbow against her ribs.

everyone huddled against each other, cowering before the window. except eunbyul, of course, who was just squished in and wanted out of this invasion of her personal space. pushing her way out of the crowd, the blue eyed girl inspected the moving hose.

"something's coming. everybody get to the corner. someone help me kill the zombie." eunbyul instructed.

"how are you sure it's a zombie? what if it's another student?" onjo asked, though she backed up anyway.

"the person climbing down the rope is obviously struggling," the raven haired girl explained as she grabbed as many heavy objects as she could. "as far as we know, zombies lack basic human nature, which means that this zombie is either stuck to this rope somehow, or it managed to use it to climb down."

"either way, it's dangerous and it's definitely coming for us. they're attracted to noise and probably smell." eunbyul tossed a textbook to suhyeok. he caught it with ease and stepped beside her.

cheong san followed. after a few shot seconds of inspecting the windows, the movement on the rope died down.

"must've been the wind. guess you were wrong, eunbyul." someone said.

"i'm not." she turned to face them. gyeong su was closer to them, and he looked nervous but ready to fight.

suddenly the stillness was gone and a tangled up zombie fell from the window. everyone screamed and began backing away as far as they could from the monster.

cheong san fell back, and suhyeok shot a textbook at the zombie only to miss.

"cheong san!" eunbyul yelled as her aim landed a stapler stuck right on the zombie's face, pointing towards a mop. "the mop!"

eunbyul was running out of things to throw, and frankly, they weren't doing much damage. if only these zombies had a weak spot somewhere, a body part where they would die if it was stricken.

maybe the heart?

gyeong su and. cheong san were barely holding on, trying their best to push the zombie out. there had been a moment that brought pure horror to ice eunbyul's entire body as gyeong su's trembling hands tried to pry the zombie away from the windowsill, almost getting himself bitten in the process.

"get away!" eunbyul screamed at the boy, pulling him by his shirt collar moments before the zombie's mouth clamped on air.

cheong san struck the zombie, making their only remaining weapon break. the mop became a spear, but the sweaty and scared boy was trembling and he'd never actually killed anything. this was too much. he couldn't do it.

suhyeok snatched the makeshift spear with his own shaking hands, in the process slamming into gyeong su's nose, but eunbyul could sense the fear in his own eyes. she was afraid, as well. but not of killing the creature. eunbyul was afraid of losing the people she'd begun to get attached to.

wrenching the spear out of suhyeok's sweaty hands was easy. the wooden stick slipped right out. eunbyul spared no time twisting the weapon into the zombie's heart, not even minding the blood that had sprayed her face. she pushed, and twisted, watching as the zombie writhed and squirmed, but it just would not die.

"shit, just die already!" eunbyul yelled as she gave one last mighty push, sending the spear straight through the zombie's chest before falling, breathing heavy and covered in sweat.

and finally, the monster had been slain.

━━THE MONSTER'S WEAKNESS, as it turns out, was not the heart. after their short lived relief, the beast had contorted in ways that were not humanly possible, bones cracking and limbs stretching.

eunbyul really hated zombies.

she had no more energy left. her hands were blistered and bleeding, red seeping through the bandages cheong san had made for her. suhyeok dragged her by the armpits to safety, leaning her against the floor.

she was exhausted.

the zombie would not give in. who would've thought a single person (that wasn't really a person) could get the better of her?

suhyeok had resumed trying to hold off the zombie, using the spear to keep it away. but it was useless. they were all losing energy, and eunbyul felt helpless enough as it was.

but gyeong su had yet to despair. he grabbed the pc block and tossed it out the window, knocking the zombie off the rope.

they were safe. for real this time.

eunbyul got to her feet, slumping slightly.

"everyone okay?" she asked, scanning around the room.

"thanks to you guys, yeah." cheong san gave a wobbly grin, looping his arm around eunbyul to support her weight.

"hey—you..." nayeon gulped and eunbyul swiveled around to the only person who she would address like that.

gyeong su turned to look at them, liquid running down his nose.

"what?"

━━HE WASN'T REALLY going to become a zombie, eunbyul tried to reason with herself as she watched the trail of blood fall from her best friend's nose. there was just no way.

he had never been bitten—she had made sure of that. so why?

"gyeong su. your nose is bleeding." cheong san told the boy as he brought a hand up to wipe his nose.

"it is?" he looked like he'd seen a ghost. stuttering over himself, he tried to recall the events.

"he wasn't bitten." eunbyul denied firmly.

"y-yeah! it was because suhyeok hit me with the damn mop!" gyeong su finally remembered, and his shoulders sagged slightly in relief. eunbyul's too. though she had been bluffing, hearing gyeong su say that gave her hope.

the accused boy stepped closer to grab something to wipe his nose with, but everyone stepped back.

"stay back! don't come any closer! you were bitten, weren't you?" nayeon trembled.

"of course not! suhyeok hit me!" gyeong su shot back, one hand using a tissue to plug his nose.

no one seemed to listen. they were all wearing the same horrified, distrusting expression. because as soon as someone was a danger to them, they'd turn on each other just to save themselves.

forget a zombie apocalypse, humanity was a monster in itself.

"what's your problem?" gyeong su sighed.

"you were bitten! that's my problem!" nayeon shot back, tears pricking at her eyes.

ms. park looked around the room, confused. of course, she had no idea why everyone was overreacting to this small occurrence.

"isak got a nosebleed before she turned. mr. kang too." nayeon told her, before turning to onjo. "onjo, you saw them. isak was like that before she turned."

ms. park stepped up. "gyeong su—"

"i'm perfectly fine, i swear! i wasn't bit!"

despite his clear words ringing through the quiet classroom, no one seemed to properly listen to what the boy was saying.

"just because he has a nosebleed doesn't mean he's been bitten. look at us, we're exhausted and dehydrated. nosebleeds aren't that uncommon in these circumstances." eunbyul stepped closer to gyeong su, placing a hand on his shoulder. "now's not the time to be turning on each other."

"you're just saying that because he's your best friend!" nayeon yelled. "if you want proof, look at the welfie's hand! there's a bite mark!"

eunbyul looked down. there was an injury on his hand, but it didn't look like a bite.

"i got it when i picked up the computer!"

he tried to walk closer and show them, but everybody shuffled back. he looked close to tears at this.

"don't you trust me? even after i saved your asses, as soon as there's something wrong you'll throw me out? how could you?" gyeong su wiped his nose with his hand.

cheong san walked around the table and grabbed the boy by the hand. there was a moment of silence as he examined his hand.

"he wasn't lying. it is a scratch. eunbyul, check." cheong san offered her the boy's hand.

eunbyul looked at it for a split second before crossing her arms and glaring at everyone else.

"you see? before you throw accusations, think to yourself, 'what if that person was my closest friend or family?' you wouldn't trade away their life so easily, would you?" she snarled, turning away.

everyone else looked away from her gaze, obviously feeling bad about their actions. at least, she hoped that was the case. they shuffled to get a closer look, to satisfy their fear and make them feel safe again.

"thank goodness it's a scratch." ms. park let go of gyeong su's hand as she turned to address everyone. "he's safe. it wasn't a bite."

"are you happy now?" gyeong su called to nayeon, but decided no response.

"but...the computer's gone." joon yeong piped up, holding the keyboard in his hands.

"the internet..." daesu frowned before catching eunbyul's eye and silent threat. "uh—i mean, thanks for saving us, gyeong su."

"oh yes, of course. the internet is more important than survival." gyeong su rolled his eyes dramatically.

"nayeon, just say you're sorry and end this." daesu motioned towards everyone.

"why should i?" she scoffed.

"because—" daesu began but eunbyul cut him off.

"because he saved everyone and you're the only one whining about it. not to mention throwing around wild accusations and getting angry when they turn out to be false. suck up your pride and apologize."

"why should i apologize? i saw everything! the zombie grabbed him, and i still think he could've been bitten." nayeon crossed her arms.

eunbyul let out a noisy sigh. "admit it. you hate gyeong su. and you're upset over the fact that everyone is taking his side. this isn't even about him being bitten or not. it's about you being an asshole to people who are poorer than you and that gyeong su will always be so much better than you. you just can't accept that and have to do whatever to get everyone to turn on him. even if it means possibly harming him."

"eunbyul, that's a big accusation." ms. park spoke quietly.

"it's the truth." eunbyul replied in defiance.

"are you serious? just because you actually did something for once doesn't mean everybody loves you now. you're one to talk about being an asshole. that's your whole trademark, isn't it? being a bitch and beating people up is what everyone knows you for. don't try to act like you're so above us, because i saw the way you looked when you were trying to kill that zombie. who's to say one day you won't try and do that to us?"

"are you fucking kidding me? i had to get it away from us! i'm so sorry you just stood there and pissed your fucking pants while i was actually helping and now you want to redirect that to me, but you should be glad to be alive." eunbyul spat, her hands clenched in fists.

"that's enough!" ms. park separated the two.

eunbyul knew how she looked. scary, angry, maybe even a little hurt. she was used to being a stereotype. your average delinquent looking ex-delinquent. nothing new. but the way nayeon's accusation had inflicted fear in her classmates' hearts, making them look at her as though she was some sort of rabid animal that would turn and attack them at any second—that made eunbyul feel melancholic.

was that all people thought of her? a girl who speaks through punches and bloodshed? surely not, right?

so she marched right back to gyeong su and prepared to stand her ground against the new challenger.

and eunbyul was rather smart if she wanted to be.

━━THEY WERE LUCKY to have managed a way to convince everyone that gyeong su wasn't bitten. he just had to wait a full hour in the recording room.

and eunbyul?

well, she was tasked with the job of watching over her best buddy. that, and ms. park figured the girl had enough skills to escape a zombie, but certainly would not last a few minutes in the same room with nayeon. so, she was given permission to stay with the boy.

"yeon, yeon!" eunbyul used one of her long legs to spin the boy around in the rolling chair.

"what?" he slumped over the chair, watching her with his head backwards.

"this is really fucking boring." she grinned, tossing her head back. "how much longer do we have?"

"yah, just leave already if you don't want to stay. no one's forcing you." he muttered.

"nah, i like it here. plus, there's no nayeon stench in the room." eunbyul laughed.

cheong san had left a couple of minutes ago, whistling some dumbass tune that only gyeong su knew. as cheesy as it was, eunbyul was happy it had brightened up the boy's spirits.

until she walked in.

nayeon looked just as stuffy as ever, her head held high as she looked down at the two. they were snickering and joking around until she walked in.

"this better be hell of an apology." eunbyul muttered in gyeong su's ear as nayeon stopped before him.

without a word, she snatched his hand and began cleaning his wound with her handkerchief. eunbyul felt oddly uneasy.

"i suspected you because the situation called on it." she told them as she wiped away the blood off the scratch.

"it's fine. let's just get out of here, yul." gyeong su looked away as he stood up.

"i don't think you understand. you deserve to be looked down upon. our complex banned welfies, yet you're still here. and you dare push me?" nayeon leaned closer.

"you thought i was going to apologize? everyone's taking your side. i was cornered because a nobody like you and your loyal lapdog, lee eunbyul, who's only real talent is punching things and getting angry. stay the full hour. i hope you never come out."

"stupid idiots. it's no wonder you two stick around each other." she muttered as the door closed behind her.

eunbyul and gyeong su charged after her.

"you fucking bitch!" eunbyul snarled as her fingers caught on a strand of nayeon's hair and she pulled her to the ground. "you'll pay for that!"

"you're really a fucking—seriously—" gyeong su couldn't even get the words out.

both had to be held back, yelling and kicking and screaming and punching, trying to get to the worst of them all.

lee nayeon.

━━IT TOOK A while before both of them calmed down. eunbyul was still seething, but cheong san was watching her intently i she wouldn't cause another scene.

ms. park was talking to nayeon, but eunbyul couldn't hear any of their conversation. keeping her eyes shut, all she could hear were the words repeating in her head, engraving in her brain.

i hope you never come out. i hope you never come out. i hope you never come out.

round and around her head they went. it didn't make sense. why would nayeon say that when she knew they would be leaving? there must've been some sort of reason for saying that, not just hoping for them to suddenly drop dead or something.

eunbyul's eyes shot open.

"yeon?" she tentatively called for the boy, turning to look at him. he looked pale, not himself.

something was wrong.

gyeong su turned to look at her. he was shaking. something was very wrong. blood was steaming down his nose, his eyes unfocused.

"i told you!" nayeon yelled as she hid behind the others. "get rid of him! hurry!"

"yeon—yeon, you're okay, right?" eunbyul placed a shaky hand on his shoulder.

he shook his head, but it was sloppy and weird. he couldn't think straight.

eunbyul was pulled backwards, into someone's chest. she was shaking, more than she had in her life. she was terrified.

"no, no! he's fine, right yeon? tell them you're okay!" eunbyul was frantic, trying to get closer to her best friend, put someone kept holding her back, stopping her.

"you weren't bitten! yeon! tell them, come on!" tears were streaming down eunbyul's face now, snot clogging her nose. it was getting harder to breathe.

"stop! s-stay away!" gyeong su stretched out his hands, creating a sort of barrier between himself and the others.

nayeon was at the door—now open—pointing and screaming. "get out, now! get out!"

"shut up! fuck!" gyeong su brought his hands over his head, and eunbyul could hardly see through her tears.

"yeon, it's ok. you're gonna be okay. we'll be okay. come on." she croaked out, stretching out her hand towards him. "please, yeon. y-you promised you'd take me o-on a date remember? you have to keep that promise okay? please!"

"i'm sorry, yul. i have t-to leave." he stuttered out, sniffing through his tears and stopping eunbyul from following. "on my own."

eunbyul felt her knees collapse from under her as gyeong su began feeling his way around the classroom, sobbing and sputtering—right towards the door.

she cried out for him, begged for him to come back, but he didn't listen.

she had felt whole for once in her life with him around. no more pain, no more long nights spent awake in fear of dreaming things she didn't want to see. he had lit up her twisted world with that lopsided smile.

and as he fully turned, changing direction towards them, she felt the heart she'd been trying so hard to rebuild shatter once again.

as cheong san whistled his favorite song and lead him out the window, she ran to him, watching as he fell.

but he was not gyeong su anymore. not eunbyul's best friend. not the same boy he had once been.

and for that, she cried till her lungs felt like bursting. she cried until a warm pair of arms enveloped her, and her swollen eyes looked up to find the determined face of her dear friend and class president.

━━LEE NAYEON HAD been the source of eunbyul's anger for the past few days.

now, she was the cause of her sorrow as well.

eunbyul had always been a damaged soul. since the moment others had classified her under the title of 'monster', she knew things would never be easy for her. but there were people who she could rely on.

well, had people she could rely on. once, but not anymore.

by her feet was the very reason for her best friend's turning, face bruised and swollen. nayeon looked pitiful. and scared.

but not as scared as eunbyul felt when the light in her life went out and she was swallowed by darkness.

despite ms. park's endless protests—to which eunbyul had stopped listening to, the black haired girl had given nayeon what she deserved.

she deserved more, but eunbyul had always been a generous person.

beside eunbyul was choi namra, staring down at the pathetic creature that was nayeon.

"do you admit it now?" she leaned down, looking nayeon in the eye.

"i didn't kill him. he's still alive, running somewhere on campus. you all saw him get up when he hit the floor, didn't you?" nayeon spat.

nobody cared to respond to her, all caught up in their own problems. they didn't even feel an ounce of sympathy for the girl after she'd committed what was considered murder.

"murderer." eunbyul muttered. nayeon looked up with wide eyes.

"you heard me. you're a fucking murderer. you killed gyeong su."

nayeon began to sob. it disgusted eunbyul.

"i have no friends." she cried, and pulled herself up from the ground.

with slow and heavy movements, nayeon opened the door.

she was gone.

ms. park stopped anyone who tried to go after her.

eunbyul felt dread pool into her gut.

"ms. park—" she began.

"everyone. no matter what happens, don't die. and don't let anyone else die." her eyes were red and puffy.

"if you cause someone else to die, living becomes meaningless. okay?"

nobody said anything.

"ms. park, please—" eunbyul reached out to her teacher.

she only smiled and gently pushed eunbyul's hand away.

"take care of each other. and eunbyul, let others take care of you from time to time. i trust you." her gaze was so tender and warm. eunbyul felt like crying all over again.

"look after this class for me, okay?"

eunbyul nodded, croaking out a soft, "okay."

and just like that, their teacher was gone, leaving them just as they had been before.

lost.

( until dusk ).

this chapter was so sad to write 😭

i realized that i've been sticking to the script a lot with this story so i decided to switch things up with the words in order to incorporate eunbyul a lot more into the story:))

also gyeong su was one of my faves but i decided to follow the original plot and have him transform (sadly) i know it said that he was a love interest but he got killed off too quick so i tried to add a few hints in like how eunbyul mentioned a date;)

thoughts on the story so far??

this is a long chapter so idk when i'll update again since this has been sitting unfinished in my drafts for almost a month and i wrote 2k words in one sitting lol

if there are any mistakes please let me know sometimes they pass me even when i proofread !!

anyways, please vite and comment if you can<33
