마흔여덟. Pretty boy.

"Sunoo? Hello?"

"Huh?"

"You weren't listening, weren't you?"

"Sorry Emi, I just had something on my mind."

Sunoo ran his fingers through the arms of his chair, slouching his back a bit to get more comfortable. He heard Emi sigh from the other end of the call, the older sensing that Sunoo had some spilling to do.

"Alright, what happened now big boy?"

"Nothing, Nothing much. Just, you know, busy at work." Sunoo mumbled as Emi immediately sensed that something had happened. Well, something always happens. He's Kim Sunoo.

"Did you and this Riki guy..fight?" Emi asked with caution, not wanting to trigger her junior.

"No, he's actually been nicer. I'm serious, it's nothing. What were you saying though earlier?"

"Oh, well a few days ago, Heeseung accepted my friend request on facebook!" She giggled, making Sunoo raise his eyebrows. He's genuinely happy for his friend, but he doesn't know how this little crush will work.

"That's great Emi! But, what now? You're gonna message him on messenger or something?"

"Maybe, I'll have to figure out what to say though." He could hear Emi's definite happiness and hopes one day she could meet Heeseung because he can really tell she likes him.

"Don't be creepy, Heeseung hyung doesn't like that." They laughed at Sunoo's remark. They haven't talked in a while so it was good to be sharing stories about what happened to them recently.

"Hey Sunoo, I wanna ask you a question, it's only if you're comfortable talking about it."

"Sure, what's it about?" Sunoo asked brightly, expecting it to be something related to his Heeseung hyung.

"How come you never told me about this uh, this Riki guy?"

Sunoo was a bit taken aback by the sudden question about Ni-ki. But he had to answer her anyways.

"I just..didn't wanna talk about it." Sunoo fidgeted his fingers while he placed Emi in speaker mode.

"May I ask the reason why? It's okay if you're still not comfortable about it, I was just curious because the first time you mentioned him to me, you seemed like you liked him."

A moment of silence had occurred because Sunoo had no idea what to reply. Emi was right, he had dearly liked Ni-ki. No, loved Ni-ki. But if he tells her how much of an asshole he's been to Ni-ki in the past, would that make Emi stop wanting to be friends? He doesn't wanna lose another precious person.

"Because..he and I used to date. Back when we were in Korea, we dated for nearly seven months. He never failed to show how much I meant to him. However, I could never do the same. I was too sensitive to what people would think about me meanwhile, he wouldn't care, not even for a second. He just..loved me. Then a few days after I told him my true feelings, he just left all of a sudden to where I assume, here."

Emi's lips left to part, hearing how much Sunoo's voice sounded small when talking about it. She of course felt bad for her best friend, who wouldn't? She wishes she could give him a hug right now even though that incident was years ago.

"I'm so sorry, Sunoo..it must've hurt a lot.."

"It hurt Ni-ki more than it hurt me. I can't imagine how much pain he felt knowing that I was all along ashamed to be with him. But no worries Emi, that was years ago, I've forgotten about it. Now that I work in the same field as him, maybe it's best if I and him just remain friends."

"But..do you wanna be just friends?"

No, of course, he doesn't.

He loves Ni-ki, he'd do anything to be called his again. he loved the younger dearly that he even gets jealous over some small interaction of Ni-ki with another affectionate person. It drove him crazy because remembering everything Ni-ki had done for him made him want to cry. If he had the power, he wouldn't hesitate to go back four years ago, when everything was okay. All those precious memories, made Sunoo just miss and love Ni-ki more, every day, every hour, every minute, every second.

But he couldn't risk it. Maybe it's better to hide your feelings and be jealous instead of getting back together with Ni-ki. Because what if he makes another stupid mistake? He doesn't want Ni-ki hurt, what more if he's the reason why.

And now that he thinks about it, it makes sense, so much more sense.

"Of course, I don't, but not in a million years would I risk hurting him, not again."

Sunoo walked in the doors of the resort's office, walking his way to drop his bag by his desk. He checked his schedule and noticed that he had to remind Ni-ki that he has a meeting with a partnership with a cruise line named Le port.

He walked to the elevator with his phone in his hand, attempting to press the up button when someone had beat him to it first, making Sunoo startled.

"Sorry, in a rush." Sunoo turned his head to the man in the suit with a sly smirk plastered on his face, with a few people behind him as well, finding it rude that the man purposely pushed it first.

The metal doors slid open, everyone heading inside the elevator as to Sunoo stood beside the same man. Sunoo didn't notice but the man glanced at his fancy little nametag by his shirt, raising his eyebrows.

"Thanks for pressing the button earlier, Sunoo."

Sunoo was startled, not knowing how the man knows his name. The pink-haired boy simply rolled his eyes, not giving much of a reply.

"I didn't even press it."

"You were slow, so I had to do it myself." The man leaned a bit to Sunoo's ear, making Sunoo's teeth clench, wanting to punch the dear stranger beside him as anger pent up inside his body.

"So, what's your position in this company?" The man tried making conversation, and Sunoo just wanted nothing but him to shut up. But he wanted to be at least slightly polite just to protect his image.

"I'm sir Nishimura's secretary."

"Ah, Ni-ki's assistant. How cute."

The door slid open as they reached the floor where the meeting was supposed to be held as it is the same floor as Ni-ki's office.

But Sunoo was curious, how does this man know Ni-ki's name? Is he a friend? It left Sunoo to many conclusions.

Sunoo walked out of the elevator, going past the crowd of people and the man he had encountered, noticing that the doors of Ni-ki's office had opened, revealing no other than Ni-ki himself along with Taki.

"Oh look Sunoo, it's your boss." The man chuckled, pointing at Ni-ki shamelessly. Ni-ki's eyes had a confused yet serious glare when he realized who he was partnering with.

"How does he know your name?" Taki went up behind Sunoo as he shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't know, he's rude and a creep." Sunoo whispered back, both of them facing Ni-ki and wondering why he hasn't spoken a single word.

"Cat got your tongue, Ni-ki?" The man asked as Ni-ki turned his head the other way.

"If I had known you're the owner of Le port, I wouldn't have agreed to this partnership." Ni-ki spoke with a serious tone. Sunoo had then realized

"Nice to see you too. How's Runa? Did her trip to Korea make you come back to her, like what you always do?" The man's dirty smirk never left his face, as Sunoo noticed Ni-ki's knuckles clenching.

Sunoo was taken aback by how that man knew Runa. Were they best friends? Did they both like Runa when they were little?

"Runa? Like as in, Haruna Atsuko?" Taki spoke up for some reason, so curious about who the heck this guy is. Ni-ki had told him everything, including the Runa parts as Sunoo hissed at Taki for mentioning her more.

"Yes, Haruna Atsuko, you know her?" The man asked, peeking at Taki as Ni-ki let out a sigh of disbelief.

"Ni-ki and Sunoo knows her." Sunoo furrowed his eyebrows, wanting to punch Taki right there on the spot. The man laughed, looking right at Sunoo's foxy eyes, making Sunoo look at him up and down.

"Ah, so even pretty boy here knows her."

Ni-ki's head jolted when this bastard from his childhood called Sunoo such a childish name meanwhile Sunoo himself widened his eyes, lips parting as his cheeks heated up at the nickname.

P-PRETTY BOY?!

"W-Who the hell are you to call me that?" Sunoo gulped, acting tough in front of a lot of people. The man had a small smile plastered on his face, finding it cute that the pink-haired boy blushed at the small nickname.

"Kaito Tanaka, a pleasure to meet you."
