Yuri P.O.V

By the time we had pulled over to a shabby looking hotel, the sun was on the verge of sinking behind the clouds.

I got out of the car, after wearing a black face-mask, and stretched my sore body, before the cold suddenly hit me.

I shivered, pulling my Gucci coat tighter around me.

It still felt weird thinking about that. All the events that had taken place today seemed like a vivid dream, and felt unreal.

I abruptly remembered a very disturbing fact; I had killed someone.

Yes, he was trying to kill me too, but that doesn't justify the fact that I had committed a murder.

There was no going back from this; I had fully, wholly entered the Mafia world, and had no way out.

Taehyung had come back after properly parking the car. He twisted his head in a way that had no right to look so attractive.

I averted my eyes.

The name of the hotel wasn't visible, since the sign was missing quite a lot of its letters. Right now, the only letters hanging onto the wall were o, e, m and a.

The outer wall's paint was peeling off, and the windows that weren't broken, were slightly grimy.

"Don't speak to anyone, and stay close to me," Taehyung whispered through his black mask, suddenly, making me jump in my spot.

Before I could say anything else, he walked towards the door, pulling it open.

I quickly ran behind him, fixing my hair out of habit.

I felt that the bell, which rang on the other side of the door when we opened the door, wasn't really needed, since the obnoxiously loud creaking of the door was more than enough to alert everyone in our vicinity about our presence.

I suddenly felt very conscious about the revealing dress I was wearing, and my whole appearance in general. I was so glad I had worn the mask.

Pulling the coat more tightly around myself, I followed Taehyung, who was now talking with someone sitting behind a desk.

I realised that the ratty table was supposed to be the front desk, and the man, who not-so subtly glanced at me, was the receptionist.

A display shelf behind the receptionist was slightly disturbing; it had the picture of an almost nude couple doing things that weren't supposed to be on display.

A closer look at it made me realise that the shelf had packets of different kinds and various flavours of condoms.

I widened my eyes, and hastily looked away.

Do hotels usually sell these kind of things?

The receptionist, having noticed my wandering eyes towards the shelf behind him, broke off from his conversation with Taehyung, and turned to me.

"Do you want one?" He gestured to the shelf. "We have differen—"

"No!" I said quickly, flushing red under my mask, which thankfully no one could see.

Taehyung turned to look at me, his eyebrows raised. Even with the mask on, I could just imagine his expression.

I refused to look anywhere except my feet.

"As I was saying, sir, I can manage to get you a room, but it'll be a bit more consuming for your wallet."

"And why is that?" Taehyung retorted.

"If we were to provide you with a room, on such a short notice, I'm afraid we would require some compensation."

The receptionist had a helpless attitude, but I had a feeling that I wasn't the only one who noticed him do double takes at our expensive outfits.

"Compensation? Yeah, makes sense," Taehyung slowly brought out his handgun. The receptionist widened his eyes. "Perhaps your life is enough compensation for you. Hm?"

Taehyung's voice feigned sweetness.

The now threatened man didn't say a word, his eyes fixed on the gun Taehyung was waving slowly in front of his face.

"That's what I thought." Taehyung beamed.

"Follow me," was all he said, before walking towards the staircases.

I noticed that were elevators too, but he had purposely chosen to go from the stairs. He probably didn't wanna risk anything, and stay in a same enclosed space with us for even a minute.

I smiled secretly, before following the two men up to the third floor.

The receptionist opened a door, letting us in. "Call the reception from the telephone if you need anything," he said, before hastily shutting the door a bit too loudly behind him.

I turned back to look at the room, and my eyebrows shot up upon seeing it.

The bed was heart-shaped, and, there was space for only one person to sleep, unless two people slept on it, squashed together.

There were rose petals scattered on the bed, and a little was on the floor too, and it would've seemed romantic if it weren't for the fact that they were wilting.

A huge couch was also present, but it was sagging, as if someone had put too much weight on it.

At every corner of the room, there were platforms sort of things, at different heights, with enough space for a person to sit comfortably.

What they were for, I had no idea. Frankly, I didn't even wanna know.

I dropped the bag I had nicked from the car, which had my laptop, and my clothes, which I was wearing, before trying on the beautiful black dress, on the couch, indirectly claiming the space.

I would much rather sleep on the couch peacefully, than sleep on that heart-shaped bed, knowing that loads of people had probably fūckēd there before.

Then again, said a voice in my head, is the couch any better? It's sagging way too much.

Tuning out the voice, I removed the coat, gasping softly at the feeling of weight literally being taken off of my shoulders.

Taehyung turned back, at the sound, and stared at me.

Even though he was still wearing the mask, I just knew that his mouth was open right now.

I realised that he hadn't had time to actually see me properly in the dress, and, up until now, didn't realise how good I looked in it, if I say so myself.

He stared at me for a while, admiring me. It didn't make me uncomfortable at all. In fact, all I felt was happiness and confidence.

I cleared my throat softly at the same time Taehyung cursed under his breath.

He moved forward a bit, before going back, and did the same thing again, as if he couldn't decide whether he wanted to come closer to me, or look away.

Finally, he resorted to looking away, sitting down on the bed, which gave a squeak due to his sudden weight.

Startled by the noise, Taehyung quickly jumped back up to his feet.

I couldn't stifle my giggles.

Taehyung looked torn between wanting to look amused and smile at me, or look at me, embarrassed.

"Well, um," I broke the silence, "I'll sleep on the couch here, and you can sleep on the bed."

"What? No, I'll sleep on the couch. You can sleep on the bed. It'll be more comfortable."

I smiled, at his gentlemanly attitude.

"I insist, I wanna sleep on the couch."

"But—"

"You've done a lot of work today, you need proper rest, and space. I doubt your broad-ass body would fit on the couch," I joked.

Taehyung smiled. "If you say so."

We stood our ground, staring at each other. So much had happened today, and I'm not talking about the ambush.

My feelings were all over the place, and I literally mean that.

I woke up, super angry at him, determined to give him silent treatment. Then, he made me fall for his charms again.

Then, we bonded over our teamwork against the enemy.

That didn't last long, because I got angry at him all over again.

But that didn't last long either, because he mentioned his past, making me feel pity and remorse for him.

And, he was checking me out, and now, we're staring into the depths of each others' soul for God knows what reason.

I wanted to break the eye-contact, wanted to look away, but I couldn't. It was as if I was hypnotised by him, and his beautiful, uneven chocolate brown eyes.

I want to hate him, despise him, be ignorant of him, anything, because it's better than falling deeper and deeper into something I know won't lead to anything.

Hating him is easier than knowing that I have a crush on him, but he can never be mine.

I kinda like/dislike this chapter

but ehhh, here's more character insight, hope y'all like it :)

now, when I had thought of yuri's character, I had two people in mind;

Kim Yongji

[she played 'Yuri' in 'The Tale Of The Ninetailed', which is where I got the name inspiration]

andddddd

Jung Hoyeon

[everyone's favourite, Kang Saebyeok ahaha QWEEN.]

(picture credits, to their rightful owners.)

So, in my mind, Yuri is a mix of these two. But she mostly looks like hoyeon dhhshs though there are times when I imagine her to look like yongji. Both are so beautiful aarrgghhh, so Yuri is therefore beautiful too

this was just a face-claim, I do NOT ship them with Taehyung ahhsahhshssj even Taehyung's character is basically a face-claim, it's not rlly him, he's not a murderer

(But I'm beginning to think differently, hm mhm, Taehyung we see you, naked on insta with a moustache while it's snowing.)

Vote, spam and comment, because Yuri is a qween, who now has a proper (mixed) face.

Ciao~

-xo-
