Yuri P.O.V
"We need to go, Yuri!"
Taehyung bent down to pick up the broken phones, and whirled them towards the armed men.
The phones hit their faces, causing a few of them to fall down. The remaining helped the fallen ones, giving us time to escape.
I took the laptop quickly, not bothering to check if Soojin had even repaired it or not.
Right now, my life was more important. I could get it fixed after we safely got out of here.
"This way!" Taehyung pulled open a door beside his store, which led to a flight of staircases, deemed as an emergency exit.
'This is an emergency, indeed.'
I scoffed internally before following Taehyung.
After descending a floor, a bullet hit the space right in front of my hand, on the railing. I screamed, pulling my hand back, and cradled it.
When another bullet was fired at the ground, much closer to us, Taehyung pushed me behind him, telling me to stay put, as if I would dare to go anywhere without him, when bullets were literally raining down on us.
"How many people are there?!" I screamed, still crouched behind him.
Taehyung shot one man down, and darted down another flight of stairs. I was clutching the material of his shirt, so I was pulled along with him.
"Six, now."
Taehyung bent down to dodge a bullet, and I bent along with him.
I was sticking to Taehyung for my life.
And I literally mean that.
If Taehyung wasn't here right now, I would've been lying dead in the Gucci store.
'Well, at least it would've been Gucci.'
'You would've died, stupid āss!'
I mentally slapped myself for getting distracted. I needed to focus all my attention on staying alive.
Suddenly, a bloodied man fell from the floor above, near my feet.
I screamed again, when he raised his hand, pointing towards me. I kicked his hand away, running away as his body fell limp.
"Three more," Taehyung said, loading his gun and taking aim, but no bullet flew out.
Taehyung cursed. "I'm out of bullets."
"Throw the gun at their faces!" I exclaimed, dodging another bullet.
Taehyung stared at me as if I was crazy.
"No way in hell! You know very well that this darling is my favourite gun, and there's no way I'm throwing it at their ugly faces, and losing it."
Taehyung immediately placed the gun inside the leather pouch, as if scared that I would take it away from him.
My eyes widened when I saw the remaining men run down the stairs, to where we were standing.
"Watch out!"
Taehyung turned around only to kick the rifle out of the hands of the one closest to us. The rifle fell down with a loud thud.
He then began to physically fight with the masked man, throwing punches and kicks left and right.
Another man also came forward to shoot Taehyung, but he picked up the unconscious man and used his body as a weapon, forcibly pushing them all back.
The men were hesitant to use their weapons as they didn't want to hurt their accomplice.
Taehyung used this moment of hesitation to his advantage, knocking the gun out of the second man's hands.
They began brawling as well, Taehyung swiftly dodging punches before placing a crunch-inducing punch of his own on the blue-masked man's jaw.
A moment later he fell down on the ground, groaning in pain.
The man with the brown mask moved a bit, his leg kicking the fallen rifle towards me. I backed away a bit, as if it was a bomb which would explode any moment now.
Taehyung, busy kicking the brown-masked man, didn't notice the third man load his gun.
But I did.
As he pointed the gun at Taehyung's head, I bent down to grab the fallen rifle.
My right hand shook a bit at its unexpected weight.
Oh, wow, that's heavy. How do they all carry this so effortlessly?!
I balanced it on both my hands, readying myself.
A final gunshot echoed in the stairwell, after which two men fell limp on the ground.
Taehyung bewilderedly turned back to see the black-masked man lying with blood flowing from his chest.
He turned back once again, to face me, my hands shivering, the rifle in my hands smoking a bit, indicating that I had just shot that man dead.
He stared at me, his mouth hanging open. I noticed a fresh bruise near his lips.
"Why is this so heavy, sheesh." I dropped the gun, shaking my hands to relieve it of the pain.
"No, take it with you. We never know what will happen on our way back," Taehyung said, bending down to pick it up.
He held it out to me, simply holding it with a single, veiny hand.
I stared at the hand before slowly taking the gun, awkwardly holding it, trying to mimic the way I had seen Taehyung, Yoongi and Hoseok hold guns.
Taehyung laughed, before fixing my grip, telling me to hold it near the trigger.
I did what I was told, and I had to admit, it was a bit easier now to carry it. I nonchalantly placed the gun over the back of my shoulder, feeling a rush of power flow inside me.
Taehyung smirked. "I see you got the hang of it."
"Not that complicated." I shrugged, as if I wasn't struggling to hold it a while back.
"You know, right now, you look so good."
"Don't I always?" I teased, internally startled at where all this cockiness and confidence was coming from.
"You do, but right now, you look very much like a Mafia queen."
Taehyung folded his arms, staring up and down at me, tonguing the inside of his mouth.
I heard Taehyung whisper a 'my Mafia queen,' under his breath, but pushed the thought away, thinking that I was just imagining things.
"Yeah? Well, I feel like a powerful Mafia boss." I played along with his flirts and teases.
Before Taehyung could speak, a shout echoed in our ears.
"Here!"
Taehyung and I looked up at the same time, and saw two more masked, armed men come down the stairs.
We looked at each other, conversing with each other through our eyes, and began running down the stairs, towards our car.
Once, I turned around to shoot a man, who fell on his knees, as I had successfully shot his calf.
I sat inside the car, slamming the door shut, chest heaving at the adrenaline rush.
Taehyung started the car, quickly pulling out of the parking lot. Both of us were quiet for a while, digesting the entire situation.
"That was fun, but let's never do anything like that ever again."
I broke the silence blanketed around us with a light joke.
"But. . . how did they know we were here?!"
Taehyung had a very good point. How did they know?
"No one knew we were coming here."
I stared at my watch. 2:18.
We had been at the mall for more than an hour, but that was too less time for anyone to track us down, especially without a tracking device.
"No one, but Yoongi, Hoseok, Mina, you and I."
Taehyung's face had a look of epiphany.
Was he insinuating what I think he is?!
"Does that mean. . ." I trailed off, staring at Taehyung in fear.
He nodded.
"We may have a spy among us."
