ELLY
After a while of splashing each other in the pool, I get out and go sit on the chair that I had set my phone and towel on earlier.
"Hey." I look up and see Jaden standing next to me. His hair is hanging down in his face and dripping water, while his abs are completely visible because his swim trunks slipped down a little on one side.
"Hey," I say quickly. Jaden smiles and sits down next to me, looking over me. I take in a nervous breath when his eyes rove over me again.
"You look nice," he tells me.
"Thank. You don't look so bad yourself." I smile at him and look away, then pull my hair back so it's behind my shoulders.
"I'm kind of tired of swimming. Want to just talk?" Jaden asks before resting his forearms on his thighs as he leans forward.
"You want to talk to me?" I tease with a smirk.
"Yeah. I mean, I like you." He smiles over at me and looks around the large room. I look around, too, and realize that Madison isn't here.
"Well, what do you want to talk about?" I ask Jaden quietly. He looks back over at me with a smile.
"Whatever you want to talk about. Tell me more about yourself."
I laugh. "That's very generic. You'll have to get a little more specific."
"Hmm." Jaden sighs. "Have you ever had a boyfriend before?"
"No. Do you think Griffin would let me date anyone?" I let out a small laugh, but Jaden gives a sigh that makes him sound almost relieved.
"That makes sense. You're 16, right?"
"Yeah, but I turn 17 in a few weeks," I reply.
"Alright. So you'll be a junior, then?"
"Mhm."
"Do you plan on finishing high school?" Jaden asks, looking over at me.
I nod. "Yeah. I think I'll move out to LA after my senior year. I don't think I'll go to college, though."
"Well, finishing high school sounds like a good plan. And then when you move out to LA, we can see each other more often." Jaden smiles at me. "But you'll have to come visit a lot until then."
"Oh, I've already agreed to come out to visit some other people." I smile at him. "But I'll definitely come see you when I'm out there."
"Good." Jaden smirks and turns away, looking around. "It looks like some of the people have left. Do you want to go, too?"
I look over at the pool and see Chase and Noen, as well as Griffin, are among the people that have already left. I nod to Jaden, and we both stand up. I wrap my towel around my shoulders and grab my phone, then the two of us start off towards the elevators.
"How do you want to split the beds?" Jaden asks once the elevator doors close. "Tomorrow night we'll have Josh with us, so we should probably figure it out now."
"I don't really care all that much. Whatever you want to do is fine with me," I tell him. We step out of the elevator when the doors open and start heading down the hall.
"We could share a bed," Jaden suggests, leaning against the wall outside of the door as I unlock it. When I don't say anything, he raises an eyebrow at me. "If you want to, I mean."
"Uhm, sure," I mumble, opening the door and walking inside. Jaden follows behind me and lets the door close behind him.
"We don't have to if you don't want to," he tells me as I start to open my bag up to get out dry clothes. I turn around quickly when he says this.
"No," I say, then shake my head. "That's fine."
"Alright. Well, we should probably get to bed soon." He nods and starts sorting through his bag. I grab out the leggings and old t-shirt from earlier and my toothbrush, then head into the bathroom and shut the door.
When I'm done getting changed and quickly brushing my teeth, I step out of the bathroom and stuff it all back into my duffel. Then, I look over at Jaden, who is sitting on the bed in only loose gray sweatpants.
He looks up at me and smiles. "Hey. Come here." He pats the spot next to him on the bed, so I walk over and sit down next to him. One of his arms wrap around my shoulders, then the other. He pulls me against his chest and lays his chin on top of my head.
"You're nice and cuddly."
I laugh. "Thanks."
"And you're making me tired. Want to go to sleep now?" Jaden asks. I nod and get under the covers after him. We lay there facing each other but not saying anything.
Eventually, Jaden reaches out and starts to stroke the side of my face softly. "Jaden?" I ask quietly.
"Mhm?"
"What are you doing?"
"You're just really pretty. I like looking at you," he murmurs, drawing my face closer to his.
"Oh." I take in a shaky breath as he lays his forehead against mine.
"Can I kiss you again?" Jaden whispers. I nod slowly right before he attaches his lips to mine.
We kiss lazily for a few minutes before he pulls away and leans his forehead back against mine. After a few minutes of looking away from him, I finally look over and realize that he's already fallen asleep. I smile to myself and fall asleep not long later.
