EPILOGUE - A NINJA WEDDING
A year after Madame Odius was defeated...
π£ππ΄π½π
I WAS TIGHTENING MY GREEN tie when Calvin and Preston walked in. He was dressed a blue suit with a black bow tie while Calvin was dressed in a yellow suit with a white bow tie.
Both Levi and I had decided instead of setting a theme for the wedding, all of our friends were just required to wear their Ranger colors.
"I still can't believe it's been a year since that day..." I thought before sighing and looking at my amputated arm.
"Hey, Presto, Cal." I greeted both of my best men. Levi had snatched up Brody as his best man, leaving me to decide between Preston and Calvin.
Well, I couldn't choose one, so I picked both of them.
"Beat that, Aiden Romero." I snickered in my head. My soon-to-be husband may have gotten my childhood friend but I have one upped him.
"How are you feeling, Trent?" Preston asked.
"Honestly? I'm nervous. I haven't stopped shaking." I replied, showing my right hand that was still shaking with nerves.
"You'll be fine, Trent. Levi is the love of your life." Calvin reassured me.
I grabbed my black tuxedo jacket, putting it on. "Right... I'll be fine." I mumbled.
Brody soon came in wearing a red suit with a black bow tie with his hand interlocked with Sarah's, who was wearing a pink dress. Hayley came in soon after wearing a white dress as she went over to Calvin.
"Good. Levi isn't the only one who's nervous." Brody said. "He's waiting at the alter."
"I'm not nervous! Who said I'm nervous?" I stuttered.
Everyone just laughed as they headed out of the room. I fixed myself up before I followed them and joined at my dad's side. Brody was paired with Sarah, Calvin was paired with Hayley, and Preston was with Sandy.
"Are you sure you're okay, Trent?" Jeremiah asked his son as Preston and Sandy headed into the church.
"I think I'll be fine, Dad. Don't worry about me." I responded. Once we heard the music start, we entered the church.
As I was walking down the aisle, I spotted Mick, Redbot, and Dane sitting at the front. It was quite a private wedding. With only the marriage officiant there, who was under strict oath not to repeat what would be said. Preston, Calvin, and Sandy were on my side while Brody, Sarah, and Hayley stood on by Levi's side.
My eyes landed on Levi who wore a gold suit with a black tie. I smiled when I saw tears coming down his face.
"The last time he cried was when he remembered Brody and I." I think to myself.
"Take care of him, Aiden." Jeremiah told him.
"You don't have to worry about a thing, Mr. Evans." Levi said. Jeremiah just nodded at him before taking his seat next to Dane.
After the introduction, the marriage officiant looked at Levi and I. "I believe the couple has written their own vows." He said.
"We did." I replied, before taking out a folded piece of paper.
"You seriously wrote it down?" Levi joked.
"Leave me alone, I have a horrible memory." I told him, making everyone chuckle.
I unfolded the paper and cleared my throat. "Aiden Romero, do you remember our times as kids? When we would run off to who knows where by ourselves, which would sometimes lead us to getting in trouble with our fathers, due to someone snitching on us. Ahem, Brody." I began.
"Hey!" Brody complained as everyone laughed.
"From being childhood lovers to saving the world together, you've been there with me through it all, and I can't wait for many more adventures with you." I finished, folding the paper back up and putting it in my dress pants pocket.
As soon as Levi finished his vows, which I almost teared up at, it was finally time for the rings.
"Aiden Romero, do you take Trent Evans to be your wedded husband, to live together in marriage?Β Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, be faithful only to him, for as long as you both shall live?" The marriage officiant asked.
"I do." Levi replied.
"Trent Evans, do you take Aiden Romero to be your wedded husband to live together in marriage?Β Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health and forsaking all others, be faithful only to him so long as you both shall live?" The marriage officiant then asked me.
"I do." I responded.
"I now pronounce you husbands, you may kiss." The marriage officiant said. Levi smiled and connected his lips with mine.
"I love you, Trent Romero." Levi said.
"And I love you, too. Aiden Romero." I stated.
Later, Levi and I were at Ribbon Tree Park with Brody and our friends. They stayed behind while we walked to the tree with Levi carrying a ribbon. Ever since we saved the tree, there had been more ribbons on the tree unlike the last time we saw it.
"Hey, our Ranger ribbon is still here." I smiled, noticing the Ranger ribbon we had put up back when we were in our battle with Galvanax.
"And now, it's time for another ribbon to join it." Levi stated as I saw the ribbon.
Trent & Aiden. Till death do us part.
Both of our names were in our Ranger colors as the ribbon was black. Together, we placed the ribbon onto the tree, right next to the one we placed as kids.
I intertwined my hand with Levi's. "Here's to a new adventure. With our friends to join us." I said, looking back at the others who all smiled at us.
"To a new adventure." Levi agreed.

A few weeks after the wedding, I had arrived at Summer Cove High School wearing a green hoodie. I was meeting the others with Mick, who was still the shop teacher. With saving the world no longer resting on our shoulders, everyone had went their separate ways, but we still made time to hang out when we weren't training, just the seven of us.
We were still a team after all. We always will be.
Oh, and since Redbot no longer needed to be in the old Ranger base 24/7, he acted as Mick's assistant during school hours. Apparently, the students loved him.
"Trent, you're here." Preston greeted once I walked into the shop class. I sighed sadly, looking at the place that we used as a base, now used as a repainter for cars, just like it was before.
"Yeah, and I got some big news to share." I said, my stomach clenching at the thought.
"You too? Levi told us the same thing. It's actually why we're gathered here." Calvin informed.
Soon enough, Levi entered the class and greeted everyone. "So, what's the big news you needed to share with us?" Brody asked.
"Since we graduated and are no longer saving the world, I decided to come off hiatus and do a world tour. I wanted you guys to be the first to know before my manager announces it publicly." Levi replied.
"Seriously? That's great, Levi!" Preston exclaimed.
"When do you leave?" Sarah questioned.
"Next month. So I still got some time to prepare." Levi answered.
"I'm proud of you, Aiden." I spoke up, shocking everyone by my reaction as they all looked at me.
"No offense, Trent. But I expected you to be a little moreβ" Preston began.
"Upset?" I finished for him. "What kind of husband would I be if I wasn't proud of Aiden? Besides, that leads me to what I wanted to tell you all. Remember that internship that I signed up for?"
"The one at that agency?" Mick questioned as I nodded.
"Well... I got the internship." I replied.
"That's awesome, Trent!" Brody exclaimed.
"The only problem is..." I began as I sighed. "It's in another town."
Everyone went silent after I told them that information. "You're leaving Summer Cove?" Preston asked. I nodded once again.
"Yeah, um, I figured after everything that happened with Galvanax and Odius, I needed a new start. New town, new people. A clean slate, per say." I responded.
"Where's it located?" Calvin then questioned.
"Coral Harbor. It's about an hour drive from here, I believe." I answered as they all looked at me sadly. "Don't be like that, guys! I still got two weeks before I leave. We'll spend lots of time together."
We all said our goodbyes to Mick and Redbot as we went to get something to eat.
"Hey, Trent. You okay?" Levi suddenly asked once we were all at a park walking around. Everyone else stopped and looked at me.
I played with the straw of my drink. "It's just... It feels weird not fighting evil anymore. It became a norm for us. I know it's been a year since our final battle, but I miss it. I miss being a Ranger." I admitted.
"It's like you said that day the Prism left, Trent. We may not have our Power Stars, but once a Ranger always a Ranger." Brody told me.
"We've done our job to protect the Earth, it's someone else's now." Preston added.
I smiled. "Yeah, you're right. It's time for us to live normal lives. We still have memories and our old Ninja Comms to remind us of our time as Rangers. We should enjoy retirement." I said.
"Yeah." Everyone agreed.
However, little did I know, that I would be kicked out of retirement quicker than I expected.
Because Coral Harbor was fighting it's own battle with evil villains.
And soon enough, I would be Back in Black.
