CHAPTER ONE - ECHOES OF EVIL

SUMMER HAD ENDED AS WE were back at school as I was wearing a green hoodie. "Man, we had such a great summer... But, I'm still glad to be back at school." Brody said. "Wow! Summer Cove High hasn't changed one bit." Sarah said. "Yeah. It has for us... over twenty years since we graduated this place." Dane stated, looking at my dad who was wearing a green shirt who just nodded in agreement. "Anyway, better put this back where it belongs." Dane said as he opened the case and put his trophy back in it's place. "And, I'll see you boys after school." Dane said.

"Goodbye, Trent." Jeremiah added to me as he followed Dane out of the school. "Bye, Dad!" Both Levi and Brody said. "See you later, Dad and Mr. Romero." I said. "Must be great to have your dad back." Sarah stated. "Yeah, it's pretty epic." Brody replied to his girlfriend.

Calvin and Hayley bought out food as we all sat down. Victor and Monty appeared on screen. "We're the only humans ever captured by monsters. How did we escape?" Victor asked. "I'll tell you how. We used Victor and Monty's Miracle Monster Repellent." Monty replied.

"Since the Power Rangers have been gone, we've been keeping Summer Cove safe using our..." Victor started to say. "top secret formula." Victor finished. The scene changed. "Have you seen any monsters lately?" Monty asked Victor who was dressed as an elderly woman. "Not a single one, thanks to Victor and Monty's Miracle Monster Repellent!" Victor imitated an elderly woman. The scene changed back to the science lab.

"Buy a can or two, today!" Victor and Monty said. "What a scam." Hayley commented. "Yeah but, look around... people are actually buying that stuff." Sarah said. "Unbelievable." Brody said. Victor and Monty came into the school with a check.

"Attention, please! We've decided not to come back to school this year, now that we're super duper rich from selling Miracle Monster Repellent." Monty announced as everyone clapped. "But we've decided to give back to you... the little people." Victor said. "By... generously donating this check of one million dollars to build a new wing for the school." Monty finished.

Everyone clapped once more. "We're calling it, "Victor and Monty's Academy for Excellent-areianism"." Monty said as he revealed the statue of Victor. "So you never forget me." Victor added.

Preston stood up. "Excuse me... The commercial said that you escaped from monsters. How did you manage to do that?" Preston asked, crossing his arms. "Yeah, good point." Principal Hastings agreed. "Uh, we can't tell you! That would give away the secret ingredient of our Miracle Monster Repellent!" Victor replied.

"And it definitely doesn't have anything to do with farts!" Monty added. "Anyways, we're here because we care about education." Victor said as everyone clapped. Brody's phone chimed. "Guys, Redbot wants us back at the base. He says it's important." Brody informed as we picked up our things and left.

"Oh, this isn't good!" Redbot said as all of us entered the base. "What's so urgent?" Brody asked. "I detected a spaceship on the long-range scanners. Look!" Redbot replied. We saw a ship. "Oh no! Someone, or something... is teleporting to our coordinates!" Redbot said.

"What?" Preston questioned. "I have this feeling that we won't have to worry." I said. Right after I said that, purple lightning appeared as all of us got into a fighting stance. Mick then appeared. "Told you we wouldn't have to worry." I said. "Mick!" Calvin exclaimed.

"Hi, Ranger friends!" Mick greeted. We all hugged him. "It isn't the same around here without you." Brody said as he hugged him. "Ah, it's so good to see you back!" Brody added. "It's great to see you guys too! Man, I hate riding in space taxis." Mick said as everyone chuckled.

"So, why the visit?" Brody asked. "I agree. Something tells me that you're not here to just to say hi." I added. "Trent's right. Unfortunately, this isn't a social call. I have terrible news. The hit intergalactic TV show, "Galaxy Warriors"... is back." Mick replied. "That's impossible." Calvin said.

"The ship was destroyed." Hayley added. "Not quite. See for yourselves." Mick said as he pulled out a message disk and Cosmo and Odius appeared. "This is a season you'll never forget. Now get on with it!" Odius said. "That's Madame Odius!" Levi pointed out. "In today's episode," Cosmo started off.

"She survived?" Preston questioned. "But that's impossible. Unless they had outside help." I said with Preston nodding in agreement. "... the search is on for the Ninja Nexus Prism. And we have just the monster for the job... Come on out, Smellephant!" Cosmo exclaimed as Smellephant appeared.

"My mighty trunk will find the Prism. I can already smell it! Odius was right. It's still on Earth!" Smellephant said. "Stay tuned, because soon we'll be arriving in the Milky Way galaxy!" Cosmo laughed as Mick turned it off.

"She thinks the Prism still works. That's why she wants it." Brody said as he revealed the broken Prism. "The asteroid... What if it did have Ninja Steel in it, and now she has it?" Hayley asked. "With Ninja Steel and the Nexus Prism, she could make Power Stars. But she doesn't know it's broken!" Hayley continued.

"So, how do we fight her? We don't have our Power Stars, so we can't morph." Sarah informed. "First, we need to do is hide the Prism, so that Odius can't find it." Levi said. "Or... We could use it as bait." Brody suggested. "You mean like a trap?" Calvin asked.

"Exactly. And I know just where to hide it." Brody replied. "Oh, Rangers! Looks like you'll be needing these." Redbot informed as he opened the case to reveal seven Ninja comms. "Our Ninja comms!" Brody exclaimed. We each grabbed out Ninja comms as we were at the park.

All of us were in our Ninja suits with our respective Ranger color. "We've got Buzz-cams." Calvin said. Odius, Smellephant and Badonna appeared. A few civilians rushed up to them. "Beat it, creeps!" A man said. "Yeah, we're not afraid of you!" The woman next to him agreed as all of the civilians sprayed their Miracle Monster Repellent.

Smellephant took care of the fart smell. "Ew, gross!" Smellephant exclaimed. "It didn't work! The Repellent didn't do anything! It's total junk!" The woman said as she threw the can down. Badonna attacked the civilians. Preston used his magic to make a prison as Brody released it. But Odius ended up freezing it. "Nice try Rangers!" Odius said. All of us then appeared. "Oh no, she used her magic to stop the cage." Preston exclaimed. "You haven't captured us, you've done the opposite!" Odius said as she threw the cage over to us as we were captured.

Odius revealed the Prism. "Interesting. The Prism... It's dead. Then the Rangers don't have their powers! Perfect, I'll just revive the Prism and turn it evil!" Odius said. "She repaired the Prism!" Hayley exclaimed. "Yes... and now I'll make my own Power Stars, and be even more powerful than Galvanax ever was! Time to show you something special I found on an asteroid. Ninja Super Steel!" Odius said as Badonna revealed the Ninja Steel. "Ninja... Super Steel?" Calvin questioned. Odius put part of the Ninja Steel in the Prism.

"It's working!" Odius exclaimed as she laughed. "This can't be happening! She's using dark magic to make evil Ninja Stars!" Brody said. "Yes, yes!" Badonna said. "We have to get out of here, now!" Brody told Preston. "I'm on it! Srab dneb!" Preston said as the bars of the cage bended to give us a passage out. We carefully followed Brody out. Hayley grabbed the Super Ninja Steel. "Get your filthy human hands off that!" Odius said. "Preston, get the Super Steel out of here!" Hayley said as Preston used his magic to make the Super Ninja Steel flying towards the base.

"I can still forge this piece of Super Steel. Keep those powerless Rangers back!" Odius ordered. We all got into a fighting stance as we began fighting Smellephant and Badonna. Brody stopped Odius from doing the spell as the Prism kept going. Our Power Stars flew out as I caught mine. "Our Power Stars!" Sarah exclaimed. More stars flew out. "And our Element Stars!" Preston added. "Plus the Lion Fire Armor Star and the Lion Fire Zord Star." Brody said. "The Prism remade everything we need to beat Odius!" Brody said.

"Feels good to have them back." Hayley said. "Now we have our Stars and the Super Steel. There's no way you can beat us!" Brody stated. "Think again! Do you want to be Galaxy Warriors champion or not? Destroy them! And bring me back those Stars!" Odius ordered as her and Badonna disappeared. "Smells like it's finally time for your destruction!" Smellephant said. "Funny, that's not what time it is at all." Levi said. "It's Morphin' time!" Brody finished as we all got out our Power Stars. "Power Stars!" Brody shouted. "Lock in! Ready! Ninja Spin!" We all shouted as we morphed. "Ninja Rangers fear no danger!" We all yelled. We began fighting Smellephant.

All of us got attacked as we got thrown to the ground. "Guys look out!" Preston said. Smellephant laughed. "We're not afraid of you!" Preston exclaimed. "Hey Rangers, let's show this monster why they always lose! It's because we fight together, as a team!" Brody said. We all agreed. Brody changed into the Lion Fire armor. "Fancy armor won't stop me!" Smellephant said. "Ninja Blaster, Whip Lash!" Preston shouted as him, Calvin, Sarah, and Hayley fired.

"You ready Brody? Trent? Lock in! Ninja Spin! Ninja Star morph!" Levi shouted as he turned into a star. "I'm so ready! Lion Fire Armor Star! Lock in! Ninja Spin!" Brody shouted. "Don't forget about me!" I said as I got my attack ready. "Lion Fire Flame Strike!" Brody yelled. "Poisonous Slash!" I yelled as well as I glowed green and slashed Smellephant and moved out of the way of Brody's attack. We finally destroyed Smellephant as Levi returned to normal. Nice to have our powers back!" Brody said. "You said it, Brody!" Hayley agreed. "I feel stronger than ever!" Preston stated. Suddenly, Smellephant grew big.

"What do you know? Some things never get old." I commented. "Let's fight fire with fire!" Calvin exclaimed. "Good idea, Calvin. I have just the Megazord for that." Brody said as he called the Lion Fire Zord. Brody finally destroyed Smellephant. We were all back at the base. "And a one, and a two and a lift." Mick said as we all helped put the Prism back where it belonged. "Right where it belongs." Calvin said. "Looks like the Rangers are back in business." Brody stated as he high fived Calvin. "At least until we deal with Madame Odius." Sarah reminded us.

"How about you, Mick? Are you still going back to the Lion Galaxy? I mean, we'd understand." Hayley said. Mick shook his head yes. "No! Come on! The Rangers without Mick? That would be like peanut butter without jelly. Pancakes without syrup!" Mick said as we all laughed and nodded. "I'm with you Rangers, as long as it takes." Mick finished. "Aw, thanks Mick!" Sarah said. "It's wonderful to have the whole team back together again!" Redbot said. "You can say that again, Redbot!" Hayley said. "Well, okay... It's wonderful to have the whole team back together again!" Redbot repeated. We all laughed. "What's so funny?" Redbot asked.

We were all playing pool as Victor and Monty rushed into the school, trying to avoid a mob of angry people. "I said no refunds!" Victor yelled. "We're broke!" Monty shouted. "Looks like their monster repellent scam finally caught up to them." Hayley commented. "That's karma for you." I added. "Monty, I think they're leaving." Victor said as the people walked away. "Victor! Monty!" Principal Hastings said. Victor and Monty turned around. Principal Hastings pulled out the check which had a big red x mark on it.

"Your check was no good." She said. "We've had to return a teensy weensy amount of refunds." Victor said. "Ten million dollars to be precise." Monty added. "Oh." Principal Hastings said. "We really value our education, so..." Victor started to say. Both him and Monty fell to the ground. "Please take us back! Please!" Victor begged. "Oh, fine. Here are your schedules." Principal Hastings said, handing them their schedules. "I don't believe it!" Monty said. "We're back! What a relief." Victor said. That's when Monty started farting. The smell started to come towards us as I used my hoodie to cover up my nose and leaned into Levi's chest as he used his free arm to hold me. "It does not work on monsters..." Preston started to say.

"But it definitely works on people!" Sarah finished.
