CHAPTER TWO - REMINISCING THE PAST

AFTER SEEING HIS JERSEY AGAIN, Takashi walked back into the gym with Ukai. "Senpai! Can you tell me your stories of being on the team when Little Giant played?" Hinata asked.

"Oooh! I wanna hear them too!" Nishinoya said as him and Tanaka walked over. Takashi looked over at Ukai, not wanting to disrupt their practice.

"Go ahead, you know you want too." Ukai gave him permission as Takashi smiled.

"Gather around everyone." He said as everyone formed a circle.

"So, how did you and Little Giant meet exactly?" Hinata questioned.

"Actually, our friendship was exactly like yours and Tobio's." Takashi stated. "We hated each other at first."

"Now we know where the King gets his attitude from." Tsukishima taunted as a tick mark appeared on Tobio's forehead.

"Anyways, we were constantly fighting and butting heads with each other. I always complained about him to Akiteru and Saeko."

"Eat shit, Udai!"

"You're so fucking annoying, Kageyama!"

"They're doing it again..." The vice captain of the team sighed, watching their future ace and setter fight once more. It had become a normal thing during practice. "Should we stop them?"

"No. Let Coach deal with them." The captain replied.

Takashi was walking to class with Akiteru and Saeko. "That Udai! He gets on my damn nerves!"

Akiteru snickered. "Sounds to me like you're in love with him, Taka." He half-joked.

"Don't even joke about something like that, Akiteru!"

"Akiteru does have a point. It's like you crave for his attention." Saeko added.

"Not you too, Saeko!" Takashi complained. "Some best friends you two are! I'm leaving!"

"He's totally in love with him." Akiteru commented.

"Definitely."

Takashi smiled at the memory. "The first time I actually fell in love with him though, was when he was able to spike my Emperor toss." He continued.

"Emperor toss?" Hinata questioned.

"Nii-san's Emperor toss is like my King's toss. Except it's a lot faster and it can injure a spiker if it's not hit correctly." Tobio explained. "And it's a toss that I want to learn from him. But he won't teach it to me."

Takashi nodded, continuing on with his story.

Takashi had been thinking of ways to piss off Tenma. When he finally smirked at what he can do. "Let's see if the great Little Giant can spike the toss I'm famous for." Takashi thought.

Takashi did his Emperor toss as it went flying past the net. But not before Tenma jumped up and spiked it, leaving Takashi in shock.

"H-How did you do that?"

"What are you talking about, Bakayama? I just spiked one of your tosses like I normally do." Tenma replied, walking away.

"Holy fuck..." Takashi thinks to himself. "I think I'm in love."

"From then on, we made a truce and became friends, and eventually started dating." Takashi said. "We kept it secret from the team however. Which was hard because we both couldn't resist one another."

Tobio fake gagged which made Tanaka and Nishinoya chuckle a little. Takashi threw a volleyball at his younger brother's head.

"Shut up, Tobio! We were horny teenagers! We're mature adults now."

"Mature... Pfft, yeah right." Tobio scoffed.

Takashi was pinned to the wall as Tenma connected their lips together. "T-Tenma... We gotta go to practice." He muttered.

"But I want you, Takashi." Tenma muttered as he kissed his jawline. "Practice can wait."

"Who knew the Little Giant can be horny." Takashi chuckled. "But seriously, Ten. Nationals is coming up, we can't slack off."

"I hate it when you're right." Tenma said as he took his hand and they started walking to practice.

"So I saw you and Udai closer together today, are you two finally dating?" Saeko asked him.

"Well, we weren't gonna tell anyone. But I'm proud to say that I'm officially the Little Giant's boyfriend." Takashi said as Saeko cheered in happiness. "Oh, Akiteru. You told me you wanted to tell me something earlier?"

"It's nothing, Taka. Don't worry about it." Akiteru told him as Takashi nodded and continued talking to Saeko. "I love you, Takashi. But if you're happy, then I'm happy."

Soon after he was done, Kiyoko arrived with the uniforms as everyone got their jersey. Hinata was complaining that he was one number above him, and Ukai reminded Hinata that Number 10 was the Little Giant's number.

"I bet you're jealous now, Kageyama." Hinata said.

"Why would I be jealous? Besides, I'm proud to have this jersey number." Tobio told him.

"Huh? Why?"

"That was my jersey number when I played for Karasuno." Takashi responded before Tobio could. Everyone looked at him. "You better take care of that jersey, Tobio. It holds a lot of memories."

"I will, Nii-san."

Takashi finally returned back to his and Tenma's apartment as he headed up the stairs and into their bedroom, dropping his volleyball bag down by the door and taking off his red and black volleyball jacket as well as his black tank top, showing his toned chest. He got dressed into black sweatpants and looked towards his partner who was sleeping.

Takashi chuckled at his sleeping form, getting on the bed and hovering over him. "Ten... Babe, I'm back." He informed.

"Mmm, Kashi?" Tenma muttered.

"Yeah, it's me Ten. I'm home." Takashi told him.

"How was your visit to Karasuno?" Tenma asked.

"It was nice. Memories of us being in high school resurfaced. I believe the current team can go to Nationals. They have a lot of potential." Takashi replied. "I told them about how we hated each other before we started dating."

Tenma chuckled a little. "The classic enemies to lovers relationship." He said, glancing at the nightstand drawer. "Hey, Kashi. Have you ever thought about marriage?"

"Huh? A little bit. We made a promise to each other that we would get married." Takashi replied. "Why do you ask?"

Tenma got up from the bed and opened the drawer, quickly taking out the object inside. "Takashi, we've been dating since the end of our first year at Karasuno. 5 years. And honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. I'm glad you ended up asking me out. You're the love of my life. My high school sweetheart. My soulmate, and I want to be with you forever." Tenma started to say.

"Ten... Don't tell me you're doing what I think you're doing..." Takashi muttered, wanting to cry as he watched his boyfriend get down on one knee and opened up a box, showing a silver ring.

"So how about becoming Udai Takashi and marry me?" Tenma asked.

"Tenma..." Takashi sobbed. "Of course I'll marry you."

Tenma took the promise ring off of Takashi's finger and replaced it with the engagement one. Takashi knocked Tenma over as he connected their lips together.

"But did you seriously have to ask me to marry you in our bedroom of our apartment? Really romantic, Ten." Takashi teased.

"Shut up, Kashi!"

Takashi chuckled as he nuzzled his face in his fiance's neck. "Udai Takashi... I like the sound of that." He thinks to himself.
