~ Coach ~
Bella woke up the next morning feeling... bloated.
"Ugh, I shouldn't have eaten all that ramen last night," she said to herself, sitting up in bed. "But it was so good!" She whined, throwing her upper body back on the bed. She floundered around in bed, overthinking every life choice she'd ever made before getting up and going to the bathroom with a change of clothes and a towel.
After showering and changing into her clothes for the day, remembering to put her leotard underneath her usual jeans and t-shirt combination, Bella walked into the kitchen to make herself a smoothie before going to class.
She was so focused on being excited for her first gymnastics class today that she failed to spot Yoongi, who was watching her with a curious eye as he stirred his porridge in the pan on the stove.
"Good morning," he called out, startling Bella, who jumped with a yelp and turned around, clutching a hand to her chest in attempts to calm her now racing heart.
"Jesus Christ Min, go easy on me would you? It's seven in the morning!" She replied, ignoring his morning greeting and returning to make her smoothie. She never was a morning person.
Bella chopped fresh mango into cubes, along with banana, guava and orange segments and threw the lot into the blender. She made sure the lid of the blender was secure before switching it on.
Meanwhile, Yoongi watched her in silence, eyeing her every move with an almost disgusted gaze. That's what she's having for breakfast? He thought.
By the time she had finished, Yoongi had dished his porridge into a bowl and sat at the small, round dining table, eating his breakfast.
"What the hell is that?" He finally said.
"What's what?" She asked innocently, sipping her smoothie through a straw.
"That," he pointed to her glass. "You call that food?"
"I never said that," she raised a challenging brow. "Do you have something against smoothie's, Min?"
"No, sweetheart," Yoongi retorted, pushing his chair back and walking to the sink to wash his now empty dish. "I do, however, have something against people, especially athletes," he emphasised the word, raising his eyebrows accusingly at her, "not getting the right nutrients. All that is, is sugar. It's just a glass full of fast release energy and all it's going to do is make you crash before lunchtime. You need carbs, Bella," he lectured.
"I do not," the latter argued. "I had enough of that last night, thanks to you forcing me to eat that ramen."
"Funny that," Yoongi scoffed, "I don't remember forcing you to eat anything. And if I am correct, you quite enjoyed the food I cooked for you last night. I'm just looking out for you, Bella. If you take my caring attitude as invasive then that's on you." He put his bowl on the drying rack beside the sink and turned back to Bella. "Now, if you'll excuse me. I have a basketball class to get to."
He walked back to his room and Bella slammed her half-drunken smoothie on the kitchen side. "Hey, Yoongi wait. I have gym and I don't know where I'm going!" He came back into the living area and sat on the sofa to put his shoes on.
"Hurry up then," he said, without sparing her a glance. "Or I will leave you to get lost."
Bella huffed at Yoongi's now cold demeaner and hurried off to her room. She grabbed her backpack and a pair of trainers and ran back to the living room, finding Yoongi waiting by the front door, all ready to leave.
"I thought you said you'd leave me behind if I wasn't ready by the time you were?" Bella challenged, stunned that he was still here; he seemed really serious a minute ago.
"I never said those words," he denied, turning his head to the side to avoid her gaze. It was true, he had only told her to hurry up, but he was glad that she trusted his words enough to decipher what he actually meant.

Yoongi dropped her off at her the gymnasium and told her he would meet her back there after so he could take her to their Maths class.
Bella walked into the gym to see two other girls her age, along with an older woman, who she assumed was her coach. They were huddled in a small, slightly dysfunctional circle, conversing and laughing. Bella felt herself smile, her first impression of her new coach being light and smiley.
"Hello!" An unfamiliar voice called and she looked up, seeing her new coach now looking at her with a smile. Bella walked towards the small gathering of people with slightly hesitant steps.
She'd always been apprehensive around other girls. The fear of judgement from her peers caused her to often cave in on herself and shut out any support from fellow gymnasts, but she'd made a promise to herself not to do that anymore. Even though she had already done that to Yoongi, this was a fresh start for her, a whole new world begging to be explored, and she wanted to open the doors herself before allowing him to follow. Bella liked to think of her defensive nature as a way of protecting the people around her from the demons of her past - her parents. She barely realised how detrimental her attitude had become to her developmental social skills over the years.
"Hi," she replied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she reached the group.
"What's your name?"
"Bella. Bella Batchelor," she replied to the coach, who smiled in response.
"Hi Bella. It's great to meet you. My name is coach Rogers, but you can call me Lissa. We're still waiting on a couple more people so why don't you guys go ahead and get acquainted while I set up the track." Coach Rogers walked off.
"Hey, I'm Aria!" A shorter girl with auburn hair cheered with a wave. Bella smiled and waved back.
"And I'm Noelle," the tallest of the three said, displaying a small smile in Bella's direction.
